Reviews for Bayfront Yacht Works and Marina
Great place for a night, 2017-06-02
Captain: , Tampa Bay (94)

Great staff that even stayed a few minutes late to help us tie up. They do not have bathrooms, water and power are included at $1.50/ft. The restaurant is nice and entire staff are wonderful (by the way, they still have the $19.99 meal with a beer/wine special). Not many slips, so call ahead.

Can't beat the hospitality , 2014-10-21
Captain: , Wanakena, NY (749)

Entrance off the ICW is skinny water at low tide. Proceed with caution and stay close to the green private markers to the entrance to the right. The marina is undergoing updates to accommodate boats of various sizes. Our 43 plus trawler just squeezed into a 17 foot slip.
There is no electricity, water or bathrooms, just a safe heaven to put yourself and grab a nice meal. Why go at all you ask? The dock manager and support staff couldn't be nicer and more welcoming. They guided us in to the slip safely avoiding any bumps to the gelcoat and answered our multiple phone calls for directions to the slip. We were greeted with enthusiasm by the staff and owner in the morning announcing their availability for helping us depart. We never hand such knowledgeable and competent dock support as we experienced there. Also the restaurants on the premises were well run, again terrific staff, and enjoyed a special full course meal with wine for $19.99. The restaurants are owed by the same owners of the marina. The cost for docking was $1.00 a foot. A total bargain. It was a surprising enjoyable stay that would be a place to return.

Adequate for a short stay, 2014-02-09
Captain: , Everett, Washington (824)

We did stay there one night. It was perfectly adequate for our need to get off the ICW as the fog came in. No power, no water, 2 transient slips amid the dozen or so boats in various stages of neglect. Did not find the restroom or a shower. Paid $1 per foot. Diesel pump and tank looked old and not used much. Depths are 5 to 3 feet. Approach: bear to the right after the channel, staying between the two rows of poles. Nice walk to the gulf. Great place to stretch our legs. Nice marina employee.

Turtle Beach Marina on Midnight Pass Road, 2009-04-05
Captain: , St. Louis (15)

Now named, "Turtle Beach Marina"; this small marina has good indoor and outdoor rack storage at economical prices. Haul out and put in service, with motor flushing and boat power washing is included in storage fee. I found them to be friendly, very helpful and efficient. They now have a good mechanic on staff, and they have two adjacent dining/drinking establishments: the "Turtle Beach Pub" is a popular 'gathering spot' starting around noon until late in the evening; while "Turtle's" is a slightly more formal restaurant and bar, offering indoor and outdoor waterside dining.
