Reviews for Menominee Marina
best boaters lounge ever, 2017-08-21
Captain: , Saugatuck MI Cape Coral FL (284)

Stayed two nights 8/17 and 8/18/2017. Best gas prices between door county and sw michigan. Best boaters lounge Ive seen.

Nice marina, staff, and boaters lounge is exceptional., 2017-08-08
Captain: , Chicago, Racine, Fish Creek,Wi (3163)

8 6 2017 Good help on docking with one engine disabled.
Staff very helpful and friendly. If you go to boaters lounge the facilities are exceptional, with couches, TV, Charts with table, and reasonable prices. The boaters staying here are friendly and helpful.

Great Marina, 2017-06-26
Captain: , Minneapolis, MN (57)

Well run marina. Beautiful boater's lounge with very nice individual bathrooms with showers. The uniformed dock staff do a great job. This is one of the top five marinas I have ever been to. Stayed here a month this spring awaiting for crew.

Great spot, 2017-06-18
Captain: , Beaufort, SC (20)

Called in the morning and was confirmed for a bulkhead in front of the marina office. Plenty wide between B and C docks to tie up right next to power pod. Exellent shower a short walk and plenty of help tieing up. Several dining options, but Murrays was just so so.

Small Town Charm and a 1st Class Marina, 2016-07-31
Captain: , St Louis (320)

The staff was outstanding, they met me at my assigned dock and helped tie the boat off. They also made sure that I had the codes for the bathrooms, which were clean, and gave me the lay of the land.
The marina is located right in the heart of downtown Menominee with it's rustic buildings and welcome to our town attitude. Most everything is within walking distance, ask the staff for directions, but if you need a taxi/cab there is only one...no Uber here. Ask the staff for the name of the cab driver.

A Great Marina, 2016-06-20
Captain: , La Crosse, WI (941)

Great staff. Clean restrooms and showers. Free continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Farmers market on Wednesday and Saturday. Other boaters are helpful and friendly. Walking distance to restaurants and bars. Boaters lounge is very nice. Books, coffee, comfortable couches .

Very nice facility, 2014-09-01
Captain: , Grand Haven, MI (674)

Staff of 3 met us at our assigned slippage to help tie up along the inner wall and walked the boat forward into a slip. Outside piling is Metal "I" beam with no padding or protection for the boat. We planned to stay a couple of days and ended up weathered in for a total of 5 days.
Boat US discounts on Slip rental and fuel brought us to $1.00/foot slip charges and diesel $0.10 off per gallon.
Staff and locals very proud of the "Boater's Lounge" and with good reason. a beautiful facility, individual bathroom/shower suites very well maintained and decorated, right down to paper towl dispencers that give a towel size that is adequate enough to dry hands.
We were there on Labor Day weekend and had to have boats moved before we could leave the dock. Dock hands and other boaters all helped us to get off the wall and away from the slip without getting close to the unprotected piling.
There was a farmers market across the street on Saturday and American Legion has fish frys on Thursday and Friday. Other restaurants close within easy walk or bike ride. Great Grocery store a little over a mile away. Dock hands offered use of there own cars if needed.
One drawback: I wind comes from Southeast the waves come into the harbor and cause swells that rock boats and that can get pretty tiresome.
We would rank Menominee one of the best in the Great Lakes

Poor management, 2014-06-09
Captain: , Suamico, WI. (20)

The young kids that work there are great! The Marina management group and Harbor Master need to be replaced.

Our First Season in Menominee Harbor, 2012-10-04
Captain: , Green Bay, WI (400)

First year with 1977 Islander 32' sailboat. Bill and rest of harbor staff were outstanding and made our summer the best in over 25 years of sailing. Love the Pump House boater's llounge - best anywhere! Enjoy the waterfrom stores and bars too. We will be back next year for sure!

Top Marina, 2012-08-26
Captain: , Milwaukee, WI (15)

I have stayed in marinas all along the US East Coast, Great Lakes, the West Coast of Europe and more. This marina is the best of all hands down. The lounge and facilities aare unbelievable. The library is next door. Don't miss the Lesser Weasel there.

Great Harbormaster, 2012-04-20
Captain: , Madison, WI (480)

The Admiral and I are planning a tour of upper Lake MI and Lake Huron, July 6 -12, 2012. Harbormaster Bill Cavill located a free lot got us directions, etc.... to leave our truck and trailer during our excursion. We will report on the Marina upon our return.

The best, the apex, the zenith, etc ......, 2011-01-25
Captain: , Chicago IL (133)

After years of crusing Lake Michigan my family has to rate this the absolute best stop we have ever been at (and will continue to go to)! The boater's lounge is what all marinas should aspire to be like. When we were there, they had free waffles on weekends, juice, coffee, etc. Showers were second to NONE - clean - game room - staff couldn't be more helpful - the town bends over backwards for the crusier - library right outside the marina - free yellow bikes (get there early) allow you to explore into Wisconsin (Great bar/restaurant over the bridge and off on a slant road with typical Wisconsin comfort food - 42 pounds of mashed potatoes & gravy, entree drowned in gravy, bloody marys with the entire garden in them, etc.) And in downtown Menominee on the main drag, there is a most unusual bookstore - that sells teak items imported directly from overseas by the owner's brother - unbelievable deals on teak items from games to patio sets to library ladders! We fill the boat for the trip home. Get here for a festival and there is fish fry and sweet corn eating in the park. It's the kind of place that I hesitate to tell people about because I want to be able to get a transient dock when cruising and I don't want it to be sold out. Boat US discount too.

Excellent Marina, 2010-08-09
Captain: , Milwaukee Yacht Club (90)

Possibly the most helpful marina staff that we've ever encountered. I'm not a huge fan of the high docks, however the staff, free wifi and excellent boaters lounge more than make up for it.

Premium stop, 2010-07-26
Captain: , Clearwater (617)

The boaters lounge is fantastic. Five private shower/bathrooms, air conditioned lounge with coffee, computer, book exchange, large cable tv etc
