Reviews for Meaford Harbour Marina
Deep water marina, southern Gergian Bay, 2015-12-23
Captain: , Toronto (482)

This is an excellent deep water marina in a very nice town. There is a Coast Guard base here.

If approaching from the West (Owen Sound/Wiarton/Lions Head) give a wide birth to the live fire tank range.

A nasty dog leg makes this a very scary marina to enter in a strong North wind.

Good place to stop after the T-S, 2015-08-23
Captain: , Wicomico Church (610)

We stopped here as a nice run after leaving the T-S.. Nice town

Great Stop along West Shore, 2013-07-05
Captain: , Cleveland (2083)

We stopped here on the way to Tobermory and stumbled upon a great marina! The boaters lounge is very nice with a couch and several lounge chairs. Table and chairs as well. There is no TV though.

Restrooms are very clean and new. Individual showers for privacy. There is a microwave and toaster oven for boater use as well as coffee 24/7.

Downtown is a short 10 minute walk to just about any kind of store that might be needed. Many restaurants also are on the main street through town.

Very well done, Meaford!

Good starting point for heading to the North Channel in deep water., 2013-02-22
Captain: , Meaford ON Canada (20)

Those skippers leaving the Severn and heading north have a deep water route to the North Channel if the shallow waters of the 30000 Islands is perceived to be too risky. Head across Georgian Bay to Meaford and then sail up the Bruce Penninsula stopping at ports such as Wiarton, Lion's Head and Tobermory leading to the North Channel. Deep water exists right up to the shore under the stone cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment. A great trip for sailors who want long safe runs with great winds and good harbours.
Meaford Harbour is close to shopping, has good facilities but no fuel. Gas and diesel service is at Richardson Boats. There is a Coast Guard facility in the marina. The launching ramps are for small boats only.
