Reviews for Mariott Grand Hotel Marina
Great location, Marina OK, 2015-11-06
Captain: , Ft Myers, Florida (1804)

You can use all the amenities of the Grand Hotel, beautiful pools indoor and out, golf courses, tennis, beach, walking, several restaurants and piano bar, all you expect at a 4-5 star resort. Entrance to Marina is 4-6ft. Not many transient slips but their are a few.

Grand hotel but not necessarily grand marina, 2015-05-29
Captain: , charleston (771)

Stayed here 2 nights while meeting friends who were staying at the hotel. We enjoyed all of the hotel facilities -- pool, restaurants, etc. All first rate.

Can't say the same for the marina. Entrance to marina lacks markers. On arrival we were told to go to slip 31. Dock hand watched us dock (no help while he stood and consulted his clipboard) then told us slip was a private slip. On phone he also did not seem to know port from starboard. He finally said we could stay in the slip. Not an easy tie. Also difficult to get on and off the boat.

Great Staff. call them before entering, 2014-07-03
Captain: , Sarasota (205)

Th markers are all but non existent and the one green we were told to take on the wrong side. Once in took on fuel and pumped out waste before moving to our dock for the night. Kids loved the pool. I loved the shore facilities! Great place to relax after the nightmare of trying to get in Eastern Shore Marina.

Very nice resort marina, 2013-05-14
Captain: , McDonough, Georgia (104)

No reviews in quite a while, but we just stayed a couple of nights, and this is an outstanding resort, which offers all the amenities of the hotel guests...pools, spa, Bobby Jones Golf Trail courses (2). If you're there on Sunday, the Champagne Brunch is terrific. We had strong westerly winds and the slips were quite rolly, but tolerable. Very friendly and helpful folks at the marina, but would recommend calling ahead, because it is not very large. Very happy we had an opportunity to stay there.

very nice small marina; beware the sandbar at entrance, 2011-06-16
Captain: , New Orleans (309)

This is a very nice small marina. Definitely call ahead to reserve a slip, very few available. Slips are in good shape and had docking lines available. The entrance channel needs dredging; there is a large sandbar right at the marina entrance where the water depth gets as low as 4.2ft at low tide. If you are staying at hotel, you can get a discount on the transient slip price.

Very Well Kept, Small Marina, 2007-04-18
Captain: , Snellville, GA (162)

Very Nice place to stop going north or south. One word of caution however is when the wind is blowing out of the west to southwest it can lead to a wild night of rocking and rolling. That said the people are VERY nice and the area is a great place to spend a few days.

Nice, but small, 2007-01-19
Captain: , Bay St. Louis, MS (734)

Nice facilities, but call ahead to reserve. This is a very small marina, and slips can be hard to get. Also, I would not advise staying here in high winds out of the southwest to west. The entrance to the marina is not well protected from this direction, and in these conditions the waves roll all the way into the marina. When the marina is full, transients are often allowed to stay at the fuel dock. This dock is closest to the entrance, and can be very uncomfortable, if not downright dangerous, during high westerly winds.
