Reviews for Marine Supply and Oil
Great store and geat fuel prices, 2016-04-16
Captain: , Chesapeake Beach, MD 20732 (190)

Biggest marine store I've ever seen and very good diesel prices. Commerical dock for shrimpers but OK to sve money on fuel, may have to tie up to a shrimper to get fuel but when you save $50 to $80 OK with me.

cheapest diesel in Florida, 2015-08-23
Captain: , Naples (10)

waiting for fuel dock to open in the am. $1.96 cash price for Diesel. best price on east coast of Florida.

Fuel stop, 2015-04-07
Captain: , Westport CT (311)

Cheapest fuel that I have seen anywhere. Deploy fenders, but was not difficult getting in and out, though I was just after high tide. They also have a huge marine supply store

AWESOME SERVICE AND ASSORTMENT - and GREAT FUEL, 2015-03-30
Captain: , Penetanguishene (95)

By far the largest Marine Supply store we have ever seen. And if they don't stock it they will find it and get it for you.

Amazing array of paints, parts, charts, supplies, all at fair prices, and only high quality merchandise, likely because the shrimpers won't put up with anything but.

Fuel turnover is very quick, about weekly, so the fuel you buy here is about the freshest and cleanest anywhere. Excellent pricing.

Plan on fuelling at slack tide for easiest time of it. We rafted comfortably on a shrimp boat, which serves as a handy floating dock.

Well worth a visit, a call for parts, a look on their well-organized web site.

Great price for fuel, 2015-01-21
Captain: , Clayton, NY (645)

We stayed at Hidden Harbor Marina across the river so it was convenient to fuel here. Price was $2.45 on 1/20/2015 which was cheaper than anywhere else we saw. The shrimp fishermen fuel up here so we thought it should be good. You do have to manipulate around the shrimpboats, but was not a problem.

Cheap but probably not worth the trouble, 2014-06-22
Captain: , St. Petersburg (749)

This seems to be the cheapest place to get diesel on the Florida east coast, but it is a lot of trouble to get to and to get diesel. We had to raft up to 2 commercial fishing boats with nasty tires in order to save a few bucks. Plus it is 2 miles up the San Sabastian river which is very shallow near low tide. A better option would be to fuel up in Brunswick.

lowest price in town, maybe state, 2014-06-07
Captain: , catskill (290)

Get out your fenders. docks are in rough shape, but other then that, your here for fuel right? They have that at a great price!

if you need it, they have it!, 2014-05-12
Captain: , Hampton, VA (2502)

Outstanding inventory of hardware, hydraulics, safety gear, charts, etc. etc. Fuel dock easy to approach -- plan to raft up to the shrimp boats and preferably at slack current.

Good Ships Store, 2012-11-19
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL. (251)

Prices and inventory are good, better than West Marine for sure. Helpful staff, ready to help.

An Acre of Parts, 2010-07-28
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (4015)

Marine Supply is focused on serving commercial and, in particular shrimp boats worldwide, but have many, many goodies for cruisers. Stainless steel fastners are available in 1/4 inch increments, there is a whole isle of yellow brass, one of red brass, and one of plastic pipe fittings. They will sell you one screw if that is all you want. Fuel dock on the San Sebastian River is often filled with shrimp boats, but they try to leave a space near the fuel pumps. Fixed and rough dock. Recommend high tide docking. Current can run over 2 knots.
