Reviews for Marina de Chambly
if I did the math right......., 2017-07-05
Captain: , Marthasville (643)

So after all the stories I heard about favorable exchange rate but expensive costs of living.....

Slip was $1.80/ft (USD) including electric.
Gas was $1.24/L (@$0.77 CAD TO USD and 3.8L/gal) I get $3.62/gal. Compared to $3.79 at the last US fillup (we've also paid as little as $2.85/gal), this really isn't anything to complain about.
Also laundry is free!!
I love this place!!

A Good Stop Before/After the Chambly Canal, 2016-06-28
Captain: , Lexington, Kentucky (160)

Secure docks; close to a number of restaurants; clean heads and showers; adequate laundry facilities; and helpful manager.

Stuck during cold, windy weather., 2016-06-18

We were pleasantly surprised to find an adequate secure marina with a 10+ nice restaurnates and two great full service groceries within 4-5 blocks. Great place to be stuck!

Great Stop, 2014-10-10
Captain: , Doylestown, Pa. 18902 (414)

Nice marina gated docks with a 60 dollar deposit on bathroom key. Beautiful grounds gas availble. Right at the end of the Chambly canal. Easy walking distance to a very nice seemly safe town with lots of restaurants etc. Clean showers and bathrooms, great views.

Good Stop After The Chambly, 2014-06-23
Captain: , St. Clair, Michigan (456)

We were headed North and after a long day in the Chambly with 2 other large boats in the locks we were thankful the marina was as close as it was to the last locks.

Staff was very helpful in assisting with the docking and the information we needed. Restrooms were clean with good showers. Good area to walk the dog in the park setting at the last locks.

All in all a very good place to stay.

Nice little town., 2013-08-07
Captain: , Knapps Narrows Md (450)

Easy access as you leave locks 3,2,1. Friendly staff and clean heads. This was our first stop in Canada so we needed to get some Canadian currency(RBC in mall), stock up at the Metro large grocery store and pick up wine since we took the limits seriously. They have some good restaurants, a park to walk the dog and plenty of ice cream stands.

Nice marina, good stop when transiting Chambly Canal, 2012-08-08
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (1541)

We've stayed here on several occasions when transiting the Chambly Canal, most recently in August 2012. Good depths all the way to fuel dock (6-7 feet), friendly staff all of whom spoke adequate English. Strong and fast password-protected wifi signal at the dock. Easy three minute walk to the huge new Maxi grocery store; several ice cream shops withing walking distance also. Take the time to walk over to Fort Chambly and enjoy the historyof the area.

A great little star, 2010-07-05
Captain: , Boca Raton, FL (1522)

I would rate this marina a 5 but there is just something about getting your 50amp service on the end of a cable instead of a pole or piling. The owners are really friendly and helpful and constantly working on the place. actually has a great little ships store. just a quick walk to great restaurants. it still cracks me up that it takes all day to get from Monteal, Quebec to this location but I could drive it in about 20 minutes. The perfect place to stop while you wait for the next days Lock schedule.
