Reviews for Marina at Hammock Beach Resort
First Class and Very accomodating, 2016-11-13
Captain: , Manteo North Carolina (151)

Hammock Beach Marina is a great choice if you are looking for a quiet marina, safe to leave your boats for extended periods of time, and no wakes, noise, or disturbences. Floating docks are top notch and boat traffic passing by on the AICW does not create wakes that affect the marina. Shuttles are available to shopping, Enterprise Rent a Car is nearby (they pick up), and restrooms and showers are luxurious, though a bit of a walk.

Superior hurricane hole - survived Hurricane Matthew with NO damage, 2016-10-10
Captain: , Hammock Beach, FL (233)

Hammock Beach Marina filled up just ahead of Matthew (several large megayachts moving north on the ICW looking for a safe marina) and weathered the storm (with the eye only 9 miles offshore) extremely well. The Bellingham floating docks absorbed the huge surge and winds clocked at 100mph.

All boats & docks survived very well.

perfect stopover, 2016-09-27
Captain: , Maine (221)

On short notice Neil was able to accommodate me. Everything was set up for my late arrival. Very peaceful night, and I was reminded that shrimp like to feed on hull bottoms. Great facility. Neil's only shortcoming is his allegiance to the wrong football team. Thanks for a great stay, Neil.

Great Find, Grand Kids love it ; >), 2016-09-19
Captain: , Bayport (79)

Called Neil on the radio for slip number from the ICW bridge. He was waiting at the slip to help with the tie up, Elec. and water. He asked for a little more info for our registration and gave us a run down of the Resort. He gave Me his card with several contact numbers and said if we need anything to feel free to call him. Our longest wait for a shuttle to take us over to the main resort was 15min.after the call. Grand Kids loved the water park and the beach. Neil got word that the Mom & Dad had a room so Neil set us up at $1 a ft. Can't beat it !!! : >) That is if you don't mind walking... This place is huge !!

Wonderful Experience!, 2016-06-22
Captain: , Houston (140)

Neil and Suzanne go above and beyond to assist with everything from docking to just being friendly. Facilities and amenities are fabulous, great location on the ICW. So nice we elected to stay several more days! Very pet friendly grounds with plenty of great areas to walk your dog! Suzanne, made Windy so happy with the treats!

Very nice stop but no fuel, 2016-05-19
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (1089)

This is a high quality, well run, protected marina with easy access right on the ICW at Palm Coast. Only downside is the lack of fuel but can be had just on the other side of the ICW at Palm Coast Marina. While there is not a restaurant on premise, the resort van will come pick you up and take you over to the main property (and 10 minutes away) for dining. The Atlantic Grill, right on the ocean is a lovely setting and very good food.

Marina at Hammock Beach Resort, 2015-11-11
Captain: , Sandwich (722)

Need to improve Wifi. Paradise pampering. Magnificent marina resort managed by a most attentive crew! Heated pool, hot-tub, bath/shower hotel quality clean, laundry, business center, lounge, outdoor deck over looking intracoastal, with sidewalks everywhere makes walking to Italian Restaurants just over the bridge safe and easy, 2 miles north is a Publix, and across the street huge PGA golf/resort communities with beach access to Atlantic Ocean. Idyllic vacation get away for tired mariners.

Great stop, 2015-11-03
Captain: , Fort worth (202)

I know there are choices here but I can't imagine one nicer. EASY in and out from the ICW but very protected. Very nice floating docks. Harbor master Suzanne was very good and everyone knew how to bring in a heavy boat.
This is a true resort. You call a number and a driver comes and picks you up at the dock and takes you to either the main resort or the condos. The condos are close but the only amenity is a pool. The main resort has 5 pools, restaurants, golf course and a ocean front beach. Our driver Michael was great.
We only were able to stay a day but it was well worth it. I'll definitely stay here next time we pass through.
Oh and the Atlantic Grill on site was very nice but not stuffy and the food was well prepared. They just cooked it right without trying to hard and over spicing everything. That's a confident chef.

Great Find - Lots of Amenities, 2015-09-07
Captain: , Jacksonville Beach FL (20)

Stayed 9/3-5/15. Neil & Suzanne (marina staff) were fantastic! Stayed on the T of B dock so was close to marina office, fitness center (great equipt), business center & marina pool. Bellman shuttle you between the marina & beach resort amenities.

Awesome place, 2015-09-02
Captain: , New Bern (318)

They were extremely accomodating to this sailor and his dog!

My favorite Marina., 2015-06-19
Captain: , Sunbury, Ga (352)

I have been to a few great marinas between Florida and North Carolina but this one is the best by far. Beautiful secure marina, concrete floating docks, free pumpout, free electric, free ice, great lounge, pool and hot tub. The restrooms are always clean. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and soft towels await you when you go to shower. The Harbormaster Neil and the Dockmaster Suzanne are extremely helpful. It is very dog friendly. The bargain is not staying one or two nights but staying a month and enjoying all the amenities the Marina and the Resort have to offer. The only reason I am giving this marina 5 stars is because 10 stars is not one of my options.

Great Spot, 2015-05-28
Captain: , Fort Myers Beach (75)

Easy docking and wonderful spot with many ammenities. Actually too many to use in a short period of time. Harbor Master was very nice. Docks in fabulous condition. Quiet. Dog friendly.

Disappointing, 2015-04-25
Captain: , Fort Pierce, FL (40)

While it is true that this is a nice marina with many amenitiies, it is not a five-star resort marina for cruisers. More than 90 percent of the boats there are permanent, and transient docks were on the far end more than a quarter mile from the showers and restrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not very well trained. The marina facilities (docks, ramps, etc.) are high quality and in good repair. Water service is good at each slip, but electrical fails to meet expected voltage levels. We experienced 105 volts or less during our two-day stay. There is only one pump-out station and you have to make an appointment to get a pump-out.
The facilities all show signs of wear and tear, and a lot of deferred maintenance. The restrooms at the main resort pools were dirty, and some fixtures were missing. the main resort is nearly two miles from the marina, and shuttle service can be hard to get if the staff is busy with an event, which is most of the time. Service in the "fine dining" restaurant was poor, and the food mediocre. It is indeed a beautiful property with lush landscaping but it does not live up to its hype.

You need to linger..., 2015-04-18
Captain: , MV Red Head (3106)

Stopped again on our way back north. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. Nice places to take the dogs for a walk. A wonderful stay.

4/6/2014: This is a first class resort facility with all of the amenities you could want for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The marina is lovely with many nice features. There is a shuttle that will take you to the main resort where there is an almost unlimited choice of things to do.

They have an amazing golf course that runs right along the ocean - I'm not even a golfer but it made me want to walk the course. Add a very helpful and professional staff and you have it all.

This is definitely not your overnight stop. Plan to come in and pamper yourself for a few days, a week, or longer.

Hammock Beach Resort Yacht Basin is a must!, 2015-03-04
Captain: , Myrtle Beach SC (30)

If you want a clean, quiet, friendly resort environment for your boat, Hammock Beach is the place rto stop of spend a few months. We've been there since early November and don't plan to leave until May. The staff and other boaters are great. Several great restaurants are within easy drive or walk.

great facility peaceful, 2015-02-03
Captain: , Annapolis (80)

Have stayed here twice for over a month each time. Floating concrete docks with rubber siding. Bike trails are the best. Bike to beach, publix, resort with numerous pools. Ocean front golf, numerous restaurants. Quiet, easy access from ICW. Wonderful place to walk the beach with dogs

Do they answer email?, 2014-07-12
Captain: , Rockport, ON, Canada (265)

I am trying to get a quote from these folks but no one answers the email address they quote.

Immaculate Resort Facility, 2014-06-03
Captain: , Palm Coast, Florida (311)

Stayed here during April and May. Our annual Camano Rendezvous was held here in early May Phenominal value if you stay for a month or more. Beautiful resort facility located in a larger resort area. Everything in the facility is amazing. Shower and restroom facilities are immaculate and include soap, shampoo, conditiioner and yes....a plush towel. Great biking area with many canopy covered bike trails. Publix grocery is 1 mile away with good bike access. Most shopping and restaurants are in Palm Coast, so several miles away. There are a few local restaurants on A1A. Beautiful floating docks, but could use another cleat on each dock at the start of the finger dock for a spring lne. Enterprise rental will pick you up and drop you here, even though there facility is about 5 miles away. Staff is very helpful. A very secure facility if you leave you vessel here.

First class stop not to be missed, 2014-04-05
Captain: , Herrington Harbour, MD (680)

April 2014
Great everything, docks, resort, car pick up, wi fi, friendly organized
staff. We spent two days at the main resort, sitting around the pool.
We were moored at a super quiet slip, right next to the car pick up
anf the wi fi. We appreciate their help. Thank you

Great stop over, 2014-03-18
Captain: , HOLLY RIDGE NC (120)

Nice facility. Easy in and out. Protected. Stoped in due to bad weather and enjoyed very much. Staff was helpfull and the facility is very clean.

Good Longer Term Stay, 2014-03-07
Captain: , Colorado (411)

I spent a couple months here and what you read on the other reviews are correct. Very nice facility with friendly staff. It is just about unbeatable for a longer term stay. Publix, a hardware store, and several restaurants are within biking distance or I think you can catch a ride with thier town car service from the resort.

Only negatives are the distance to get to a nagivable inlet or boat parts if you need them. Both can be found in either St. Augustine or Daytona. Something the marina doesn't really have control over but worth noting in case you need either. And there are folks around at the marina that can help you if you do need to get some work done.

Overall it is a fantastic place to spend a little time if you are in the area.

Great Placte to stay, 2013-11-23
Captain: , Daytona (410)

We stayed here for 4 days in August 2013 and had the best time. Knowledgable and courteous marina staff. Hotel also has awesome amenities and a free shuttle back and forth to the marina. Highly recommend you check it out - we will stay again

Excellent facility. , 2013-10-08
Captain: , Marco Island, FL (140)

Stopped on way to St Augustine. Stayed 5 days instead of one as planned, and never took vessel to St Augustine. The resort is superb. Great golf course, restuarants, pools, people. Everything written previously is 100% correct. We rented a car to go to St Augusting for a day trips, instead of leaving by boat.

Superlative, 2013-03-31
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, FL (227)

They do not charge a lot of money for what you get here. It is the best of the best. Even provide town car service to both the main facility and to Publix! Everything you could want in a full service resort. We will be back here on a land cruise.

Great place to stay., 2013-01-29
Captain: , Jacksonville Florida (417)

New floating docks, facilities are on the ground floor of a building with multiple floors of condos, very very nice swimming pool. Marina is surrounded by single building homes and available lots with gated security. Limo service picks you up at marina and takes you to there other property, we ate at the Atlantic Grille and I highly recommend a cup of the She Crab soup and the Grilled grouper with Mutard (not misspelled) sause. Ended up being about 20+ bucks more than across the way, and you get so much more bang for the buck.

5 star resort, 2012-12-13
Captain: , Oxford, Md (130)

This is a 5 star resort. Friendly dock help. Golf course, sauna, spa weight room, restraunt all top notch!

A Fantastic Place, 2012-10-30
Captain: , Daytona Beach, FL. (90)

This is truly a 5 star stay. The use of resort amenities is a wonderful plus. Restaurants are pricy but worth it if that's what you want.

Easy To Pass By - Don't, 2012-09-06
Captain: , Daniel Island, SC (310)

Because it is located an equal distance from St. Augustine to the north and Daytona Beach to the south, logisitically this is an easy marina to pass by. We are consistently glad we don't. Floating Bellingham docks, all the ammenities of Hammock Beach Resort and an attentive staff make this one of the finest, reasonably priced facilities on Florida's east coast.

Great Marina, 2012-07-20
Captain: , Fleming Island Fl (90)

Had a great time.Going back soon. The pool at the Marina allows you to bring your own cooler..The pools at the Resort can get expensive if you eat and drink..No cast resort they give you a card to ues. No tipping allowed.Very nice,,

A great getaway for the entire family, 2012-07-07
Captain: , Epping Forest Yacht Club (10)

We have stayed her a few times and each time we like this place more and more. It has everything to offer for your stay. Neil the Dockmaster and and Sue Asst Dockmaster are great to work with and are ready and waiting when you arrive. Each day you get a bag of ice brought to your boat. It has a pump out station that is easy to get to upon arrival or departure. The amenities are fantastic. There is a very nice pool and jacuzzi as well as nice shower facilities, laundry room, business office and tennis courts at the marina. You may also take advantage of the 24 hour, free, shuttle service that will take you back and fourth to the Resort. At the resort there is a full spa, three restaurants, putt putt course, golf course and water park with four pools and a lazy river. Each time we have visited we have met new friends. The dockage is $2.25 per foot. I would highly reccomend Yacht Habor Village for any boater.

Great place to stay with children, 2012-07-02
Captain: , Midway,GA (261)

We stayed here for five days,we liked it so well. Top knotch marina, floating docks,pump-out,but no fuel. Bath rooms are exquisit and clean. Just bring your personal items ,everything else is furnished for showers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Dockage was $2.25 per ft, but all of the resort is open to you. The marina staff were very friendly and helpful. We called ahead and dockmaster Neil had everything ready for us upon arrival and checked us in at our slip. Would highly recomend this marina and will stay here again. Water park at the main resort was fantastic.

THE Marina, 2012-03-24
Captain: , Annapolis (30)

You can not be closer to the ICW and yet everything is protected and calm. The staff is helpful and know what they are doing. Quiet, peaceful at the marina with plenty to do at the resort. The resort is accessable by a free sedan ride and has fabulous facilities to include restaurants, pools and a golf course. The Marina has a pool that is wonderful for all ages with towels and a hot tub. The showers are first rate and the decore, landscaping etc. is all "top drawer." The only problem was my wife made us leave.

First Class Marina and Resort, 2011-11-29
Captain: , Marathon (275)

This is a beautiful marina and resort complex that has everything and you pay for it. Even though it's expensive if you use the facilities it's worth it. The staff was very helpful.

5 Star all the way, 2011-11-20
Captain: , Central Illinois (537)

This is an excellent marina that is part of a 5 star resort. Wish we had time to stay for a few days. Our grandkids are with us and they would have a ball too. Shuttle service to all the pools and water sliides as well as restaurants. Dock master was extremely friendly.

Excellent Facility, 2011-05-28
Captain: , Pentwater, MI (415)

This marina is at a 5 star resort. There is limo service to the other parts of the resort. The marina facilities are among the finest we have experienced.

Very Nice New Docks, 2011-01-26
Captain: , Palm Coast, FL (385)

Resasonable transit dock fees and extremely nice floating docks. Fuel not available but that can be purchased directly on the other side of the ICW at the Palm Coast Marina.

Resort Marina, 2010-06-15
Captain: , Daytona Beach, FL (273)

We keep our boat here most of the winter for a monthly rate of 15/ft and that includes electric. They have concrete floating docks, pool, tennis, golf, spa, many restaurants, beach access, fitness center, business center, and free wifi. The marina is secured with a guard gate and 24hr security. This is the best marina in Florida. The marina manager Neil is very accommodating and friendly.

One of the best, 2010-04-17
Captain: , Charlottesville, Va (91)

For $2.25ft (negotiable) you get a very caring dockmaster, floating docks, a lovely & very quiet pool, 24 hour limo transpotation to the resort where there are multiple restaurants, pools & shops (resort type shops). Some of the pools are crowded but others very quiet. The food at the "best" restaurant was not spectacular but good. The grounds are well maintained and very extensive. Downside is no close practical shopping.

Hammock Beach Marina, 2010-03-20
