Reviews for Marina Vallarta
Marina Vallarta severly lacking..., 2015-02-22
Captain: , Newport Beach, CA (360)

We stayed at Marina Vallarta for a week, we planned on staying for six weeks. Unfortuntely, they wouldn't accept the fact that we were not using their water and insisted on charging for something that we did not receive. When challenged their security guard check to see if we were hooked up to water and it was discovered that the guard thought our power cord was the water... to cover himself, he said we weren't hooked up at the time, but were yesterday. if that wasn't enough, about half of the docks are unusable. They are in the process of rebuilding the marina facilities, but it is a long way from completion... read years! Location was OK, but still a long way from PV... No wifi... We moved and were glad we did, since both nearby marinas offer far superior facilities and service.

Marina Docks are being remodeled, 2014-12-22
Captain: , Long Beach, California (11)

They are not fiinished the dock restoration, but the new docks that are finished look great, with new concrete gangways. They have new security gates with electronic keys, which is quite useless because you can still walk around it and climb over to the other side with little effort. There are frequent visits by the security guard. Still no facilities for bathroom or shower. You need to ask one of the restaurants in the marina to use their bathroom.

Lousy Services, Good Location, 2014-03-30
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (20)

This marina has recently been purchased by new owners, possibly after a bankruptcy. While the location is convenient to PV and restaurants, there are basically no services at this time - no toilets, no showers, no dock carts, no security keys/codes (there ARE security guards that watch the docks though), no help with your lines on arrival, and the docks are in serious disrepair. The water is NOT potable. This marina charges for both water and electric, but since neither is metered - the charge is a standard per foot rate. The daily rate ends up at about 30% more than Paradise Village, where all these services (and more) are provided, but with a less convenient location. Marine personnel say that major renovations are/will be underway, and that the marina will be "first class" sometime in the future.

Being Renovated, 2014-02-04
Captain: , Salpair (30)

The Marina is being renovated at this time, when done this will be a class act. They have several dock fingers that are getting all new electric service and floats redone. It is very convient to get to places in PV.

Big time marina-, 2013-04-17
Captain: , San Rafael (387)

Lots of facilities. Puerto Vallarta will allow you to get anything done you need. Nice town as well. I would have no problem leaving my boat here for an extended period of time.

A well-run and clean facility. Good security in a very high traffic area.
