A Great Place to Work on Your Boat, 2015-07-29
Captain: , Venice, California (363)

It's dirty. It's smelly. It's a boatyard. The internet worked sporadically. Everything I owned got dirty. The washing machines did not work, so I had to hand wash all clothing. The restrooms/showers (the good ones) were available for a large deposit and were quite far away, so by the time I showered and returned to my boat I needed another shower. The location of the yard is inconvenient. You need your own vehicle or a bus ride (Paraje) to get into town. Otherwise you are in for a long walk. All of these things inspired me to work harder to get my vessel ready for sailing. On the plus side, Gabriel (manager) who speaks excellent English, was VERY helpful when finding the services, insurance, drinking water, etc. Many boaters trust Gabriel very much, and I can understand why. There are other yards in the area where you can pull your boat out, but their fees are irregular, and in the past, whimsically disallow you to work on your boat while hauled out. This yard gives you consistency and motivation.

Just hauled out here: Great value, 2015-05-10
Captain: , San Diego, CA (1239)

We just hauled our Cheoy Lee 41 out here for the summer season. The approach was straightforward. We were guided in by Andres (Andy) over the VHF after calling his cell phone to let him know we were on our way.
The entrance to the yard takes you close to the point of the peninsula, and in towards their haul out yard's seemingly narrow steel docks. There are reef areas on either side of the steel docks. For the approach I'd recommend rigging fenders high up or having crew available to help fend off once in between the docks.
The travelift has new tires as of 2015 and was in good repair. The staff that hauled us were crew leader Andy and Robert. Both spoke good English and were there to catch our lines.
The storage yard is red dirt so extra precautions must be taken to prevent dust and grime from getting in your boat. We wrapped outside hardward with tarps, and our roller furler and winches and windlass with foil and tape to keep the dust out.
The service was better than most for Mexico. Just know that the yard only has water available in the nice showers until 5pm and that the yard water is turned off at 5pm. It makes for a good quitting time. The power stays 24/7.
We had a good experience hauling and Gabriel's yard came highly recommended by fellow cruisers.
The WiFi was able to connect but only had spotty internet access. I'd give 5 stars if there was 24/7 water for work and showers, concrete yard storage and great WiFi.

Dry Storage In Marina Guayamas, 2014-05-14
Captain: , Edmonds (185)

We hauled our 36' Beneteau at Marina Guaymas for the first time in May of 2014. Gabriel and his entire crew could not have been more personal, helpful and professional during the process.

This is a workyard and storage area. It does have liveaboard facilities, but the best words I can use to describe them is "primative".
Great for low cost workyard and boat storeage.
