Reviews for Port de Plaisance LaRonde

Great marina with great service and friendly! Everything is very clean. New restroom installements. Amusemant park few steps away and great view for firework night! Both gas and diesel available as well as pump out services. Snacks and drinks available and other nautical items in their store. Lots of fun great for families and decent prices with amusement park specials.

Ideal for the F-1 Race, the Fireworks and Six Flags, 2015-06-08
Captain: , Seattle Wa (200)

Michaell and Johanne are very helpful and friendly owner/managers. Marina is very convenient to the F-! race, the fireworks, or going to the Six Flag amusment park. They shuttled us over for the F-1 race for a fee and we think they would do the same to the Metro but call and ask first. It is a very quiet alternate to the city but does not have amenities close by (restaurants or shopping). Good docks, great showers but no internet.

I think my ratings are tougher than some peoples. Here are my rating guidelines - - 1 star - Lousy, skip this one- 2 star - Not terrible but we wouldn't come back- 3 star - Quite nice. We liked it overall and would return- 4 star - Great experience including facilities, management and setting- 5 star - Spectacular everything (there aren't many of these - Maybe the megadock in Charleston)

great place to go to the La Ronde amusement park and/or watch the fireworks competition, 2013-11-22
Captain: , Montreal (13)

family-owned, very friendly, good and clean facilities. We stopped on our way up from Champlain/Sorel heading west. Booked a couple of nights and wait listed for the previous night of the fireworks competition. They fit us in, and had plenty of staff on hand to assist with docking. Very busy on fireworks nights. Great view from our foredeck, and easy access to the park. Discount passes provided for park admission.

Not the place to stay in Montreal, 2013-07-04
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

We arrived days before Canada Day and Port d'Escale was full. We called this marina and were told that it was very convienent to stay here and see Montreal. NOT. It is convienent if you like amusement parks. It is litterally right next to Six Flags over Montreal. Lots of noise.

One has to walk around the entire park to its front gate, then take a bus shuttle a mile to the nearest Metro stop. From there you can ride the Metro into Montreal. Not good. Plus the book says there is internet service, and there is none. This is a marina for locals, and not transients.
