Reviews for Marina Deportivadel Puerto de Alicante
Quiet Marina but close to the action, 2017-05-28
Captain: , Palmetto, FL (94)

This marina has finger pontoons. There is a security man at the head of the dock but no gates, the restrooms are a bit basic. There is free wifi in the office but what they don't tell you is that there is wifi on the dock too but you have to pay for it 3.5 euros/3 days. It is nice to be in a big city with all the amenities. Closest Mercadona is about 1km walk. Great walk up to the castle but there is an elevator too.

Good but Boring, 2017-02-15
Captain: , Ipswitch (242)

Boat was moored there for some years. 12m around 5,000Euro pa including utilities, plus 400 local tax. Fortunatly boat was in a quite corner but some berths get hit by Southerlys. Finger was too small.
One chandler just closed due to lack of business.
Nice Town, all the usuual services.
Beach good nearby, but very busy in the summer.
Good english.
WiFi only in the office and local bars, did not reach our boat, but we had 4G.

Nice marina, 2015-07-14
Captain: , Sydney (170)

We stayed three nights in the marina, paying EU53 per night. Very attractive town. There are many chandleries near the office. On arrival we were asked to go to the waiting wharf and fill in all the forms. After that we were allocated a berth and helped to move there. There were yachts moored at the waiting wharf for the nights and they were connected to water and electricity. I do not know if or how much they paid.

Summer 2014 Update, 2014-10-15
Captain: , Annapolis (369)

We stayed here in July 2014 and paid 55 euros/night for our 12 m boat including ALL the taxes (and, as usual, utilities are included for short term transient boats). That's about 10 euros more than the Club de Regatas on the other side. The marina has very nice facilities with laundromat and shower blocks. However the WIFI throughout the marina didn't work. You could take your laptop into the office though. It's a bit of a hike just to exit the marina; a bike helps. But, once you're out, the town itself is quite lovely. Alicante has an ENORMOUS daily market... as big as the one on Ramblas in Barcelona. Touristy restaurants line the harbour. The one downside is the loud music that goes on til 8am on weekend mornings.... at least in the summer. It wasn't as loud in the marina though as it was in the Club de Regata on the left side of the harbour. There is a conveniently located fuel dock at the marina. We ALMOST got a long stay contract here, but decided to check out Cartagena first.

Great location, 2013-06-22

Left my boat there for 3 years.Never had a problem. Nice people, nice city, great service. Among the best in Spain. Of course it is not cheap!

Enjoyed my stay in 2006, 2013-01-25
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (322)

I spent nearly a week here in August, 2006. At the time I think I paid E35/night. At that rate is was a pleasant stay. Alicante is a large city with many restaurants, banks and other services within easy walking distance of the marina. Friends stopped here a year later and the charge was E100/night. It isn't that nice of a marina. That rate increase was likely due to the America's Cup activity in Valencia at that time. Hopefully the marina rate is back to something reasonable by now.
