Reviews for Marina Carenero
Welcome to Marina Carenero, 2013-04-10
Captain: , Astoria OR (61)

Best marina in area - very friendly on premise marina owner. City power problematic with 3 blackouts in last week. Bandaid repairs? Only rain water supply available - best if you bring your own cleanable micro-ceramic counter container like a Berkey to remove taste and particulates. Summer temps and humidity intense - air conditioner vs $0.30+/KWh cost - lots of fans best economic alternative with your own exterior sun shade tarps. No-see-ems most nights - suggest micro screens on all ports/hatches. Food supply can be spotty and pricey - remember this is an island - Tues is best market day - LOUD music in Bocas city most nights 2100 to 0400 'noise' reaches across water to Marina Carenero - Welcome to a unique "paradise" experience. Be open minded and flexible! Great boater's community on VHF68 0745hrs daily.

Nice little marina with friendly people. The disco at the opposite site will keep you awake.

Small and cozy but has everything you want, 2012-04-09

This is a small marina located on Isla Careneros within a very short water taxi or dinghy distance to Bocas town. The management is very friendly and helpful. The docks, restrooms and kitchen are very clean and well maintained. Both owner and the tenants are very friendly and helpful. The best price in the area.
