Reviews for Marco Island Marina Association
Great Marina with Best WiFi, 2016-12-01
Captain: , White Bear Lake, MN (80)

Stayed here last winter season and while great marina the WiFi was substandard. BUT, today it is AMAZING. 5 star marina and 5+ star WiFi and internet.

Confusing markers at river entrance, 2016-05-08
Captain: , Naples, Fl (171)

Coming from the gulf, after 3 markers, you have to make a 90 degree starboard turn to find the next red marker to avoid the underwater island shoal, and then you continue on your way. Stay in the middle of the channel. We draw 6 ft and had plenty of water at low tide.
Harbormaster Mike guided us in and helped u sdock. Great service, no swaet, perfect!

Great Facilities and Staff, 2016-03-21
Captain: , Houston (130)

Elmer, Nancy and Mike were great. The facilities are well maintained. Pump out at dock is great. It's unfortunate that the yacht club is not run well and even with reciprocity from our yacht club we couldn't get a glass of wine (or dine) and enjoy the facilities on a Thursday or Friday evening. Big loss of revenue.

Very nice facility, 2016-01-21
Captain: , Grand Rivers, Ky (1652)

Stayed here several days during bad weather and visiting friends. Very well protected marina and helpful staff. Nice floating docks with pumpout at slips.

Excellent facilities, 2015-11-08
Captain: , Palmetto (412)

Very nice marina with a helpful staff and great facilities. Unfortunately, the very nice lounge and TV room are not available after hours, it opens at 0800 and closes at 1700.
One note of caution, the walkway around the marina is made with pavers; occasionally they collapse and cause a trip hazard especially after heavy rains.

Great Value, 2015-03-28
Captain: , LOPEZ ISLAND (70)

Stayed here for a week last year, plan to go back. Elmer the dock master is terrific and made our stay very pleasant.
Bathrooms 4.0 very clean
Internet 3.0 OK signal
Amenities 5.0 nice pool, work out room, lounge, TV, biking distance to beach
Docks 5.0 new floating docks, excellent protection
Shopping 4.0 good shoppiing within bike distance

Wonderful spot!, 2015-03-23
Captain: , Kingston, ON (250)

Great spot, very convenient. We privately rented a dock here for 6 months, and look forward to returning in the future. Great pool, laundry, pumpout at the dock. Elmer goes above and beyond to help.

Best in the west(FL)!, 2015-01-11
Captain: , Deep Ellum (101)

Marco Island Marina is an above average marina for a reasonavble price. We came in for a week and stayed 3 months. You can easily bike or walk to West Marine or the grocery (next door to each other) and numerous Mom and Pop restaurants. The island is easily accessed by bike. Marco Island Marina has clean restrooms and laundry, a beautiful pool, BQ facilities, at your slip, free pump-outs and much more. We will be back...someday.

MIMA March 2014, 2014-03-15
Captain: , Cape Coral, Fl (82)

Everything written about Elmer is too true! We called while still in the Gulf, as a heads up to them and to get slip information so we could start ton rig the boat. Elmer immediately offered progressive instructions as we entered Capri Pass. There is one easily missed dog leg between Red 6 and Green 9. With Elmer's help, we were ready for it! Our 41 foot boat with twin 30 Amp service and Boat US discount was $101 for the night. One correction is the working channel for the marina. It is now14 rather than 11.

Well protected nice stop, 2014-02-25
Captain: , Pasadena,Maryland (510)

Well protected. Dockmaster (Elmer) arranged for service- which was successful. Yacht club resturant on site is very nice but $$$$. Publix is about 1 mile away. Limit on grey water discharge-no shower on boat.

Very Nice Marina, 2013-05-19
Captain: , Clearwater FL (10)

Stopped here in May 2012 and 2013 on passage from Tampa to DT's. Dock-master (Elmer) is a lifelong sailor and was always very helpful. Facilities are upscale, comprehensive, and the onsite yacht club restaurant and bar is available to transients but $$$. Publix, West Marine, and many restaurants ~ 1 mile away, an easy walk or cab ride. Floating docks, well protected, easy access, follow dockmasters instructions for approach, one power line you must duck.

Great Place, 2013-05-16
Captain: , Cape Coral (221)

Very nice Marina, attraktiv Price, very friendly staff, recommend it!

We were blown away by how nice it was., 2012-10-05
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (2709)

Well protected; great, floating concrete docks, super staff, gorgeous pool and baths/showers. We found nothing wanting here for a one-night stay.

Best marina ever!, 2012-08-15
Captain: , Corpus Christi, TX (10)

We spent five months of the 2012 hurricane season in the Marco Island Marina. It is the prettiest, best maintained, most welcoming marina we have ever visited. The privately-owned marina co-op welcomes liveaboards and does not charge any extra liveaboard fee. The marina itself is totally embayed with good, 360 degrees wind and surge shelter. Vessels, but not crew, are permitted to remain in their dock during named storms or hurricanes. The floating concrete piers with ~12' pilings offer single-side finger piers, metered 50A/250v power, unlimited water, ~20 channels cable tv, unlimited wi-fi, individual dock boxes, community trash boxes, pier security lighting standards, security cameras, and self-operated dockside pumpout connections. The marina co-op offers parking, swimming pool, patio furniture, well-equipped exercise facility, gas bbqs, and fully-tiled, hotel-quality private showers and toilets. The marina's grey-water rules try to limit soap and other contaminants by limiting fresh water use to the sinks in the galley and heads, and prohibiting showering. Toilets can be pumped out as frequently as one wishes, daily even, at no charge whatsoever. The marina is ably manned 7 days per week by a friendly and helpful crew led by Dockmaster Elmer Wheeler (assisted by Jim Gordon on weekends), with an Office Manager (Nancy Gordon) on duty weekdays. Yacht club reciprocity will garner you a free night's slip rental, and the independent, on-site Marco Island Yacht Club welcomes visitors for cocktails and dinner. For cruisers on bicycles, the grocery store, West Marine, post office, and hardware store are all about a mile away. Sometimes discounted seasonal slip rentals available directly from slip owners can be found on DockSearch.com. Be aware than extended stays require a liability policy of $1MM. This marina is the best marina ever!

Excellent choice on Marco, 2012-04-30
Captain: , St. Petersburg, FL (250)

As other have said, this is a great place. Floating docks, outstanding staff, nice ameneties that are in excellent condition. Was able to get fuel in the slip with A-1 Fuel Service which saved some money and was very convienent.

Unrealistic, 2012-04-25
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (334)

Great facilities and helpful staff. However, signs state that discharge of gray water prohibited and strictly enforced. That means you can't brush your teeth or wash your hands on your boat. Who would want to go there? Get serious.

Best Ever Marina, 2011-04-13
Captain: , Orange Beach (70)

Can not find anything to complain about. Staff, Docks, Pool, Showers are all the best

Best marina so far, 2010-05-04
Captain: , Port Aransas, Texas (998)

Without doubt the best we have enountered since starting our cruise in January. The staff are very professional and helpful. The facilities are first rate with pool, grill, hot tub, day room and other aminities. Pump out at every slip and docks are first rate.

The best so far, 2008-04-15
Captain: , Prior Lake, MN (14)

If there is a better overall marina, I haven't found it yet. The people are great and the service is excellent. All floating dock with fingers that fully extend. Amenities abound. We paid $2.85 per foot.

Corrected Position, 2007-07-02
