Great Marina and Excellent Mechanic!, 2015-07-29
Captain: , Houston TX (349)

We pulled in to MYC one day ahead of the Tall Ships Festival with an engine problem. Bob the harbormaster and two of his helpers met us at the dock and helped us in. It was a Friday afternoon and we wanted to try to fix the problem ourselves but by Monday morning we had not. Talked to Jeff at the yard and he sent Nathan down by 9 am on Monday morning since he knew we wanted to get back to the Festival. Within half an hour Nathan had diagnosed the problem and determined a solution. We left the boat in his capable hands, had a great time at the Festival and came back to a VERY reasonable invoice. We will definitely stay here again when in the area and will use the yard for any work we need done.

Views from a local, 2014-01-31
Captain: , Portland, ME (66)

We have our boat on a slip at Maine Yacht. The dock staff is friendly and helpful. I have never used the laundry but it looks well maintained. The crew lounge is a place that you actually enjoy lounging--big windows with a great view and comfortable furniture.

It's about 2 1/2 miles to the Old Port. You can get a taxi, but if you like walking take the local trails. You only have to travel along surface streets for the first half mile. The remainder is on walking/biking trails. Go to and combine parts of the Back Cove trail and the Eastern Prom trail.

Quiet and smooth, 2013-08-08
Captain: , Port Aransas, Texas (998)

This is a very nice marina due in no small measure to the staff. Bob is knowledgable, friendly and most helpful. This would easily be a five star stop but for the absence of an on-site restaurant. The large concrete long docks are designed to attenuate the swells and waves. They work really well so that even in high winds, the slips are smooth. The mariner's facilities include a full kitchen for the boater and the facilities are first rate.

Great experience, 2013-07-18
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (465)

Had yacht hauled here for three days of service. Jeff Stack is service manager. Impressive facility with friendly workforce. Great wifi and laundry facilities - 2 each. $1.75. Need a car to get to town.

Great Place, 2013-07-11
Captain: , Smith Mountain Lake, VA (266)

We got a slip for five days here so we could sail on Casco Bay. The facilities are great plus Bob and his dock staff are wonderful. Nick or Jodi were always at our slip ready to help us dock when we returned from a sail. There is a public boat ramp across the inlet with a floating dock and two cement ramps. Trailer sailors will find this part of the Bay a wonderful place to explore.

A great stopover marina, 2013-06-28

Nice, clean place with very nice people. Bob the marina manager is extremely curteous and helpful as are his staff. The location is quiet and away from the noise and tourist commotion of the Portland waterfront, yet if you rent a car you will have no difficulty getting to town,

A Place to Come Back to, 2012-08-04
Captain: , San Antonio, TX (40)

This is a wonderful, new marina with a most helpful staff. Bob the Dockmaster, is a find. He comes down to ask if we need to be tied differently when it gets rocky. It is a bit far from the center of town, but the views and quiet is wonderful. We came here on the way up down east and came back as we started home.

This has been our ssummer home since 2008. The dock staff is very friendly and helpful. The marina has a full service department for any repairs needed. The views are spectacular of Casco Bay when the fog is gone. Exposure to east wind can make it rolly at the dock. It is quiet and peaceful with lots of walking trails nearby. Grocery shopping requires a car since there are no stores nearby. There are a few restaurants withing walking distance. Recommend reservations for transient.

Very fine establishment, 2011-08-26
Captain: , Biddeford, Me. Saco River (90)

This is a secue and quiet stopover for anyone making their way through Casco Bay. Excellent facilities and within walking distance to a store and good diner. Super ice cream stand nearby as well. You can walk two miles to Portland's eateries or take a cab. The staff is super and very professional.

Out of the way and out of the wakes, 2011-01-11
Captain: , Stuart, FL (999)

Stayed here when they were completing their sea wall/barrier. Very nice, clean facility with helpful, friendly staff. Docks in good shape. We took a taxi into downtown Portland (old Port) and strolled back - a long walk but doable on a nice day. DeMillo's is too tight for us and still has a bit of roll. Portland Marine Center is easy in and out and very quiet. Perfect for having guests from the area visit for lobster dinner.

Very nice marina but a long way from downtown, 2008-09-20
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

The marina is in excellent condition, but you're 2 miles away from downtown. You can dinghy to downtown, but that might be a bumpy ride. Considering that DeMilos is $3.75/ft, you may want to spend the extra to be covenient to downtown. The dockage is very secure and very few wakes, which is not what you get at DiMilos.
