Reviews for Madeira Beach Marina
Fuel stop only, 2017-07-07
Captain: , palm harbor (190)

Stopped for fuel. Called ahead on radio 16/68 which they say are monitored with no answer. Called by cell and they said just come in. No hands at the fuel dock for helping secure or fuel. I used a absorbant pad for a small diesel drip cleanup on my topsides and asked where to dispose. I was told the trash can. I bagged it and brought it to my marina for disposal instead. Convenient off ICW, but this is a do it yourself fuel stop.

Maderia Beach marina, 2017-06-28
Captain: , Key Largo (5457)

tie along back side of gas dock, good electric and water. some movement in the day, quiet at nite.
Bad wifi
walkable to publix and micky D's.
water shuttle to take you to bars and resturants, and publix.
they do not honor the discounts as advertised.

Gas and Diesel Sold Here. Ship store. Transient & Long Term Slips..., 2017-05-31
Captain: , Bay Pines Marina-Seminole, Fl. (20)

Nice, clean, sheltered marina. Easily Accessable from Intracoastal Waterway. Pump out station, ship store, fuel.

Great place to stop, 2017-03-31
Captain: , Ruskin, FL (330)

Stopped for one night and stayed on the fuel dock. Floating dock that appears new. Staff was very helpful. Facilities were very clean. Small store on the dock to get beer and snack foods. Easy walk into town with two good restuarants.

Good stopover, 2017-02-21
Captain: , Baltimore, MD (1323)

Fixed docks looked new, a bit rolly with ICW traffic, but very calm after traffic abated. Approach looks bad on chart, not a problem if you follow the pilings and fuel signs. Saw 10 ft. Stayed on T-head. Publix 1/2 mi. across Tom Stuart causeway bridge. Would return.

Decent marina, 2016-11-27
Captain: , Chicago, IL (1056)

After reading the review below asked the dockmaster if we should call on the VHF or cell phone as we approached, he said phone. The marina has wooden fixed docks, including some under cover, but they had us side tie on the west side of the fuel dock - easy docking, but the gas fumes were a bit much at times. Electric, water and pump out available at the fuel dock; small ships store inside; $1.40/ft. Stay between the pilings and the covered docks on approach. Marina is surrounded by 3 small bays lined with homes, nice for exploring on the paddle boards. Did not venture out of the marina by foot. Easy dinghy ride over to John's Pass to meet friends at the Mad Beach Fish House.

Not impressed, 2016-11-16
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1550)

No answer on radio after 3 tries, strike one..

Docks were covered with bird whitewash, strike two.

Did not honor published 5% Boat US docking discount, strike three.

I could go on, but you get the point. Will NOT go back again !

great marina and staff, 2015-11-13
Captain: , st petersburg, fl (134)

I use this as my main fuel dock in the area. their prices are alwasy very fair, and the marina staff will come lend a hand tieing up if they can. they are improving, have added dock side water spigots for wash down etc and apparently have some other updates planned as well. staff is friendly and curteous.

An Enjoyable Stay, 2015-02-14
Captain: , Port Whitby Ontario (20)

We had an unplanned stay over here for some maintenance when Poseidon decided to eat a bolt holding our anchor roller in place. The staff set us up on the floating dock adjacent to the fuel dock and helped us with parts to effect our repairs. We then decided to extend our stay for another day so we could provision at the nearby Publix (great store, very close) and explore Madeira Beach on foot. If you're a music lover, be sure to walk down to Hanna's shop on the main drag; she has gathered together tons of music related curios and clothing (most of which won't fit on our little sailboat). And if you're looking for some entertainment, visit Smuggler's Cove Adventure Golf for some mini-putt and feed the alligators at the first hole! We found the marina facilities sufficient to our needs: clean bathrooms and showers as well as a store with marine and other supplies. I'd certainly stay here again on our way through.

Not A Bad Stop, 2015-01-10
Captain: , Belleville, Ontario (410)

Limited transient dockage, staff was somewhat helpful they do not cater to transients. Good depths on approach, floating dock which was a treat. Publixs north across the bridge was nice. Facilities are new and clean. Otherwise an average stop not spectacular.

Nice Upgrades, 2015-01-06
Captain: , Dunedin (50)

We called in a pinch late in the day and Doug got us in on the fuel dock for the night. The shop and adjoining bathrooms were brand new. The location a sort walk east over the bridge to Publix and fast food, or a modest walk west to beaches, restaurants and bars.

There was a key pad entry to grounds after hours. Bath/showers also had new keypads, but did not seem in use just yet. Ships store had pretty good selection of essentials for its size.

Charts misleading so I called to confirm approach. There is plenty of water between covered slips and sign, just south of bridge on approach to marina.

This is a working marina, but with very nice people, newly upgraded facilities with good prices and location. Will definitely be back.

A pleasant suprise, 2014-08-02
Captain: , Salem,AL (120)

Limped in with and engine problem. Ended up staying 3 days. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent ships store. Great prices including fuel. Easy in and out. Several resturants walking distance. Showers could use a little work.

Good inexpensive marina, 2014-04-09
Captain: , St Petersburg, FL (65)

Stored my boat here for a year now. They recently overhauled the bathrooms which was a big improvement. Pump out / gas dock is nice as well with easy access. Reasonable prices in the ship store for snacks / ice etc. Grocery and McDonald's are across the drawbridge and subway and decent Italian place towards the beach. Reasonable protection but can build small chop with wind out of south east. Friendly staff!

great fuel stop, 2012-04-19
Captain: , Cape Coral FL (322)

easy access, cheap fuel, current protected, this was a great fuel stop.

Pretty average municipal marina, 2010-10-25
Captain: , Delray Beach, FL (327)

Great price for the area. Dockmaster is very knowledgeable, but facilities are limited. Heads/showers are a trailer and not clean. Great Italian/pizza restaurant down the street.

Cheap Diesel, 2009-12-28
Captain: , Melbourne Florida (4616)

cheapest I could find in this area......quick in and out
