Reviews for Lymington Town Quay
One of our favourtie places in the Solent - if you have dingy, 2013-04-10
Captain: , Southampton , UK (1327)

The town Quay is at the bottom of the town so you cannot get any closer to the many shops and restaurants.

Howeever it gets very busy and you can often be several boats deep in the raft.

If you have a dinghy with you (as we always do) we prefer to stay on the trots. The are just posts you tie your between. Go forward and put a rope around the forward post then drop back and secure a stern line to stop yourself swinging into the river. The dingy dock is busy and it is bit tight to get in but we have always managed to get in and tie up.

It is very narrow as you get there with strong tides at times and a ferry coming on going on your starboard side as your come up the river but we love it up there.
