Reviews for Lucerne Valley Marina
generally nice, 2015-09-16

Just a 1 night stay before venturing into the incredibly beautiful Gorge. As previously stated, the marina docks are rough, but generally acceptable. Our guest slip with power was $1 per foot which was great. Bathrooms were basic but acceptable - just toilets no showers. Launch ramp is fairly wide and adjacent to the marina so easy access to your tow vehicle once parked. The ramp shallows but we were able to launch and retrieve our 23' C-Dory with not too much trouble - just had to back the trailer further in than we usually do. We were there just after Labor Day so the restaurant was closed for the season. The fuel and guest docks are overseen by young adults who are very nice and good to deal with. While the marina is on the Utah side of the lake, as is the spectacular gorge, if you plan to cruise into the Wyoming side be sure to buy the required AIS sticker(s) for that state.

Like Buckboard, the dock itself is a bit rough. 30A power is available along with restrooms, fuel and dockside store. There is an additional store in the parkinglot above the ramp and a small mobile snack shack with decent grilled food. No showers. The marina workers are fun, with lots of personality and were a highlight. Same with the folks working the marina store, they were fun!

Marina is in a nice location just at the north part of the Utah section of Flaming Gorge. North out of the marina is Wyoming with a decided difference in scenery. The topography is flatter and much less green growth than the area south of the marina. South, one enters a canyon with many coves and curves with much beautiful scenery. The marina has gas ( no diesel) and a pump out station. Rest rooms are associated with the pump out, but are fairly decent. Others are available at the top of the launch ramp. No showers except at the campground near by. The docks are requiring repair and are pretty rough. Thirty amp service is available and water is available. Thr launch ramp is good with finger piers, however the slope of the ramp is fairly flat. We used their in/out service for retrieval ($20) because we couldn't get the trailer in far enough for our inboard 25' Ranger Tug.
