Reviews for Loyalist Cove Marina
Great full srevice marina, 2017-07-22
Captain: , Prinyers Cove (70)

This marina has great staff that couldn,t be more freindly with all the services a boater could ask for.

Easy Check-In to Canada, 2017-07-05
Captain: , Campbell Creek, NC (454)

Small marina with some transient slips, mostly local seasonal sailboats. Good wifi.
Walk dogs thru a small, newer neighborhood and small park by the water. Half of the park was underwater and not useable when we were there. High water throughout Lake Ontario area this year.
Small bathroom/shower was ok.
Gas grill on deck off the indoor boaters lounge with kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave and sink to wash dishes, plus large round table seating 8-10 people.
Nice helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Couldn't be nicer, 2017-06-25
Captain: , Winter Garden, Fl (2350)

We stopped here after crossing over from Oswego to check in with Immigration. Our plans were to anchor out for evening. The folks at Loyalist Cove couldn't help us enough, even though they knew we weren't going to stay. They caught lines, tied us to the T-head and let us use the office phone to check in. Very nice people, we will be back.

A great place to get work done, 2016-05-10
Captain: , Ottawa (31)

David Hinton and his team at Loyalist Cove are amazing. With an indoor shop just down the road and the ability to handle cruising sailboats up to 50ft the marinas services are top notch. We had our boat in the shop for the winter of 2015-16 for a refit. The work done by Loyalist was all done well and close to the estimates provided. We were able to do much of the work ourselves, using there staff for the more fiddly and skilled fibreglass work we are not good at.

The attitude of the staff is great, they get sailors, moreover they get cruising sailors getting ready for the big trip. Eager to help and take on work as needed and just as happy to enable us to do the work ourselves.

Good stop over on way to/from the Bay of Quinte, 2015-12-15
Captain: , Toronto (482)

We stopped here for just one night on our way up to the Bay of Quinte. We were very happy with the Marina with freindly staff and excellent facilities. The Marina alone is a 5 star. The visitors dock is a long tie up wall you could land an airplane on which is very nice in strong winds.

The reason I gave it only 4 stars is there isn't a lot around. You have to walk through a large sub division in order to reach down town Bath, which itself has limited entertainment opportunities.

For a stop over point down bound from the Bay of Quinte, the marina facilities are excellent and I would highly recomend it.

Nice stop enroute to Trent Severn, 2015-08-23

Good stop on way to Trent Severn after crosssing Lake Ontario

Resupply at Schell's Market, 2015-08-19
Captain: , Bronte (10)

We needed to buy large amounts of food, bug spray, propane and beer for our next leg. Although you can walk to the store from the marina, you cannot practically walk back with all your purchases. The problem was that Bath does not appear to have a cab service. However, the owner of Schell's Market was kind enough to take us back to the marina in his truck and even made a stop at the LCBO.

He said that he would gladly provide this service to boaters in the area. All in all, a great experience and would recommend Schell's Market as we found everything we needed including amazing fresh bread. Hmmm.

Had some major work done on the boat in preparation for our trip down south. The work they did was outstanding. Very accommodating. Dave, the owner, lent us his truck to do some running around. This is truly a full service marina. The whole staff were very friendly and more than willing to help in anyway they could. They answered any questions we had. They didn't mind when we looked over their shoulder to see what they were doing. They just built a huge indoor facility about 2km away. We also had a new dodger, Bimini and full enclosure as well as new cockpit cushions made. The work Janet did and the care she took was second to none. I'd come back!

Loyalist Cove Sept 2014, 2014-09-24
Captain: , Toronto (40)

Very nice friendly and helpful people, good facilities including an excellent gas BBQ. Gas dock looks scary shallow but actually is quite deep, it's hidden at the inner dock so you need to look for it. They don't have a lot of transient room so make sure you call ahead. Showers are clean and well kept. Protected and very calm, even with the thunderstorms all around us, they call it the 'Bath Bubble'. We stayed 2 nights as Lake Ontario was not passable with bad weather, so we walked into town. Pretty place with a lot of history.

Friendly and Knowledgeable Staff, 2014-08-28
Captain: , Thunder Bay (30)

I needed to get hauled for a transducer change that included glass work. Although extremely busy they took us on and the owner was even there on the Friday night at 830 working on it. Great service and very friendly folks. Highly recommended!

Maybe the best marina
Small grocerie and wine
Store at 5 minute walk

Loyalist Cove, 2007-10-18
Captain: , Blighsburgh (205)

Nice stopover, docks a little rough but OK. Staff and boaters here friendly and helpful, appears they have a full service marina and do boat transport. Showers clean. Fair walk uptown for groceries but doable. Liquor at the grocery store. Some wireless internet in the area pf the marina as well. Cottages around the shore but we found it quiet. Good protection from waves with a heavy duty breakwall.
