We anchored in the bay and tied up at a seriously challanged dinghy dock (what the sign said). There were a couple of other dinghies tied up there that had obviously we there for ages. I went up to the office on the dock to ask if we could leave the dingy there and go to town a buy stuff.

We were informed that dinghy parking was for the restaurant only and that it was closed for another 3 hours. I took that as a no.

We asked a fellow working on his boat on as we dinghied out and were informed there was a town landing area outside the harbor. We found the area where he described, but couldn't find a sign or anything. It was not an area where we would want to leave a dinghy anyway.

Fisherman Bay obviously didn't want our money and we were happy to oblige.

Great location but...., 2015-07-24

This is a beautiful area, but the docks are aging and you have to watch for splinters in your lines.

There is no wi-fi on the docks, and the wi-fi in the resort area was not working.

Restaurant food was good.

Moorage was high - $60.00 for a 34' boat.

We will try Island Marine Center next time - their docks are new, we understand that the wi-fi works and hopefully the prices are lower.

What a great spot!, 2015-02-10

We stopped in for a night in January and had a very nice stay. They only charged us $30 for a 50' boat with 50 amp power! Restaurant was great, drinks were strong and very reasonably priced. Pool looked great for the summer, would have been nice if the hot tub was not indoors, but the garage door was closed sealing it in so we skipped it, but it was available for use and had it been opened up would have been great.

Garbage is a walk up the hill, but the field is beautiful anyway! Management appears to be reinvesting and we're super friendly, I can't believe we haven't stopped in before and will be back soon!

Skip the restaurant, 2014-08-19

Who else could mess up a simple cheeseburger? After two experiences with the shoddy service, rude bartender and average-at-best food, the mile-plus walk into Lopez Village was still the best option.

Not one of the better marinas, 2013-08-29
Captain: , Bainbridge Island, WA (15)

The docks are nice but the staff is nearly nonexistent. The showers are across the road and too long a hike by any measure. The restrooms are the ones used the restaurant, tiny and inadequate. The place is to be avoided on Thursday and Saturday nights when the bar blasts country western music until 1am to 2am and no one can sleep in the marina. Unless you like really loud CW music in the middle of the night. The location is great to walk to town but don't look for any amenities. The trash bins are hidden across the street way behind the hotel and you have to discover them for yourselves. This is a full price marina with discount services

Great place, great staff, 2012-10-24

Stayed at the marina for three nights. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Nice docks with pool and hot tube, 2012-07-24
Captain: , Port Orchard, WA (292)

Nice facility, expected more from help. Clean but had to climb hill to try to locate rubbish. Carefull when entring Fishermans Bay

A great family overnight or vacation tie up -downgraded review!, 2012-07-11
Captain: , Seattle (373)

I dropped this one star in the rating. The latte cart is gone, the hot tub was out of service, and the showers are now $2. And if you want to use the exercise room, it costs an extra $5. Add to this that I think the moorage rate has gone up. We will usually stay one night at Roche and one night here. They are very different resorrts, but this one was always substantially less expensive, so a nice contrast. Now we paid $68 at Roche and $60 at the Islander for a LOT less service. Still a 4 star, but not as nice......

original review:This was one of our favorite stops with the kids as they were growing up. Moorage comes with access to the wind protected swimming pool and hot tub across the street, they often have a latte cart at the head of the dock, there is a small store for necessaries, they have a nice restaurant and bar, and it's only a short walk into town for better shopping.

Lopez is a nice stop. Yes some of the comments some of the below comments are true, but still, the island is a fun stop.

About 1/2 mile or less to the RIGHT as you walk out is the GALLEY bar and restaurant good for breakfast

In the village is THE BAY waterfront restaurant and is one of the best. Call 360-468-3700 and they will come and get you.

Pricey resort, 2011-10-14
Captain: , Algonac, MI (1659)

Wanted $50 for one night for a 36 footer, so we saved $10 by staying at the marina to the north. We did eat here, and the prime rib was excellent.

nice but..., 2011-08-11
Captain: , Seattle (195)

We stay here about once every couple of years. Nice place within (long) walking distance of town and groceries, liquor, etc. Very expensive moorage. If there was a good alternative we would take it.

Skip it if you can, 2011-08-02
Captain: , Gig Harbor, WA (469)

The dock staff was friendly, but that was about it. They really do not cater to boaters here. The trash is a long haul. The showers are across the street at the pool. We felt like we were at a cheap roadside motel.

Worth it if you dock, 2011-06-21
Captain: , San Diego, CA (1239)

I anchored out and wanted to use the showers ashore and was surprised at the $6 fee and an additional $2 for 6 minutes fee. If I wanted to use all the services ashore, including pool and hot tub it would be worth it, but not just for showers.

Restaurant just OK., 2011-04-04
Captain: , Bellingham (110)

The restaurant not as good as the Galley, but OK.

Fun Place that has been renovated, 2011-02-05
Captain: , Olalla, WA (342)

The pool area has been totally rebuilt. Spa is the same but in good working condition. Love the food at the restuarant and the servers are friendly and very helpful. Great crabbing right off the south end of the slips. Dog friendly with doggie bags and walking area near by. A lot of fun for a quiet weekend.

Lack of Garbage facilities, but otherwise a relaxing quiet moorage.
The new pool refurbish is much better than the old pool

Fourth of July, 2009-04-11
Captain: , Paradise Valley, AZ (572)

Great fireworks on the Fourth of July. Make slip reservations early. Enjoy the parade and salmon barbecue. Resort has great location. Nice pool for marina guest use. Great macadamia nut crusted halibut at the resort restaurant. Bike and kayak rental across the street. Van service available from resort to Town. Resort provides van sevice to/from ferry terminal for guest pick-up. Nice supermarket and good restaurants in town. There was great crabbing from the dock in 2008. Contact Chamber of Commerce for activities in town.

Good marina - tricky entrance, 2007-04-14
Captain: , Anacortes (83)

The entrance to the harbor can be tricky and it can be very shallow so be aware of the level of the tide when you enter and for the time you plan to leave. There is a reasonable restaurant on site and the marina has some showers. If you don't mind a walk of several miles, you can head north to a small shopping area with bakeries and coffee shops.
