Reviews for Long Island Petroleum Distributors
Dock completely New!, 2017-09-19
Captain: , Annapolis MD (330)

Wonderful service. For shallow draft (5'-maybe more at high tide) you can bring the boat in and fuel at the new dock. My husband had a foot injury and they came down to let us fill Jerry cans in the dinghy. Wonderful folks who appreciate our business.

fuel, mini mart and ice, 2017-04-12
Captain: , Milwaukee WI (939)

Easy spot to fill your jerry cans, get ice and convenience store items. Open 8 to 8 except Sunday's

Good diesel, fair price, 2017-03-13
Captain: , South America (778)

The best diesel price that we found from Turks & Caicos to Georgetown.

Diesel - 4,31
Gasoline - 4,76

The dock is brand new - easy approach but in high tide.

Friendly staff and convenient, 2017-03-08
Captain: , St. John USVI (1305)

Friendly staff, eager to assist. Prices roughly 10% above Roadtown Tortola.

Excellent service, 2016-03-25
Captain: , New Orleans (309)

Their dock was destroyed by Hurricane Joaquin, but they will put diesel in a truck and drive it to the government dock so you can pump right into boat. We called them on VHF and they were at dock within minutes.

Good products, 2015-05-29
Captain: , Seabrook, TX (280)

diesel and gas at both the convenience store and dock. Water at dock, honor system. Probably best to bring your own hose maybe filter and fill jerry cans in the dinghy. Some oil, ice cream, pop and beer at store. Sailing club just North of store has free WIFI. Very good Seafarers marine store about 3/4 miles North . Fishing lures not much more than in the states.

Great service, 2015-02-04
Captain: , Wiscasset ME (1435)

We are on a sailboat, 42ft by 5 1/2ft draft. We took some jugs in the dinghy to LIP, tied up at their dock and walked a few feet up the hill to their roadside gas station. Their dock is on the south side of Salt Pond south of the gov pier, you will see several large silver fuel tanks along the shore. We were met by a very nice lady who filled our jugs took our money, gave us some local info and had us on our way in no time. We bought diesel in Georgetown and here, it was the same price. Water just a bit shallow for us at that time and we only needed 10 gallons so can not comment on docking there.

Fill fuel cans, 2014-03-12
Captain: , Mooloolaba (692)

Didnt like the look of the dock so we tied the dinghy to the dock and carted 2 cans down from the service station. They were quite happy to give me a lift in a truck to save the 100m walk. Second run in they were filling a yacht on the dock so we were able to fill the cans on the dock itsself making it a bit easier.

put fenders out, 2013-07-11
Captain: , St. Louis, MO (153)

Didn't like the looks of the concrete dock with worn out or missing padding. Didn't need fuel that bad, so took a pass. Two stars for price.

Dock services available, 2013-06-26
Captain: , Florida Keys (735)

Diesel and gasoline and water are available at the dock. This is a much easier place to fuel than Georgetown, on a price closer to Nassau.

My 4'4" draft was fine at Anything but low tide Long Island Petroleum stands by on 16

Fuel dock open again., 2013-03-06
Captain: , Essex, CT (1245)

The fuel dock is open again, after damage from the hurricane. Use caution however, as it is rough concrete & one end is missing any cleats or posts - you have to tie to rebar sticking out of the concrete. For jugging fuel, you can tie up here & walk up to the gas station or walk from Long Island Breeze.

Fuel dock damaged, 2012-05-03
Captain: , hollywood (42)

The fuel dock that may be on your charts was damaged last year by a hurricane, but you can jerry can fuel and beach a dinghy nearby. They also sell R/O water mixed with rain water for 30 cents per gallon.
