Reviews for Suntex Marina at Lantana
Three Lakes Marine Service, 2016-03-11
Captain: , Stockton Springs Maine (81)

Lost an oil cooler on my Perkins engine and pulled into Loggerhead Marina looking for help. Marina was very accommodating with clean restrooms and fair prices. Three Lakes Marine Service was next door and the most helpful service I had ever experienced. They provided transportation to various part stores for fittings while providing a place to have parts mailed too. Cido, one of the owners became a good friend during our 5 day breakdown. Thanks for all your help Cido! I will never forget you hospitality and expert mechanic abilities. You have some fresh Maine Lobsters coming when I get home. Thanks again.

Dry-stack Marina With Limited Slips, 2016-01-22
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (907)

We called ahead for a slip and found both Loggerhead Lantana and Loggerhead Lantana South are handled by the same office @ same phone. We were assigned a slip which turned out to be in the northern facility, which is a dry-stack marina with one pier offering slips. Lantana South's transient slips were apparently full. We would be arriving after 5PM, so no help would be available getting into the slip. We were directed to the next to outermost slip, south facing, with tall pilings and a very short, fixed finger pier. Approaching the slip in our 33' sloop, we had gusty 15 to 20 kts directly aft plus tide and wind driven current behind us. We were not confident we could enter the slip without risking damage, so we headed for the floating dock across to the south. With a 5' draft in low low water, we plowed a furrow near the end of the dock.
Bath/shower facilities were fairly abbreviated; a single open tiled room with shower in the corner. Wifi signal was weak and we could not get connected.
Although it may be an excellent choice for small boat owners, we could not reccommend this as an ideal stop for cruising sail. Loggerhead Lantana South may be a much better option.

Staff works with you, 2015-03-13
Captain: , New York (262)

I left my boat here for two weeks until I was ready to take it North.
They have a policy of only allowing outside vendors to work on your boat on certain days but a quick phone call and the dockmaster allowed a mechanic to come on an off day
I had some electric work done. They did a very nice (but pricey) job
There was an issue with my bill after I left. I got charged for an extra months stay. Once again a phone call got it straightened out. They were very anxious to make it right.

They're trying, 2015-02-11

We stayed a couple nights at the south docks (310) as a reciprocal customer from Loggerhead Vero Beach. Docks are adequate except the fixed finger piers are quite short, so boarding options are limited. Staff indicated they just upgraded their computer system, so it took 1 1/2 days to get connected thru WIFI to internet. Nice pools (2), spas (2), lounge and weightroom in condo complex. Noticed at least one security guard on regular patrol around docks and inside spaces. Nice little Wine and Cheese shop at the street side of the condo building providing wine, cheese, sandwiches, salads, etc. Minor cons:, no pumpout and no cable on dock, and a long walk to office from south docks, but they will give you a ride in Club cart if you ask. Rental cars nearby.

Nice staff, 2013-03-05

I had my boat delivered there. The Staff was extremely helpful unloading my boat and making me feel comfortable leaving my boat there.. They have a wet storage facility next door for larger boats to dock also.

Very Good, 2012-07-14
Captain: , Colorodo (327)

They have a very nice operation but there are things that they could improve. First of all they DO NOT have a VHF so if the docks are full it is very hard to contact them. EXTREMELY nice people working there and a very nice dog that lives there also. There have recently been a couple of robberies so I think they should DEFINITLY put up cameras or have a night watchman but overall it is a very nice place.

Helpful Staff, 2012-02-11
Captain: , New Bern, NC (180)

I didn't stay overnight but had to get some repairs done, so after staying at Loggerhead South, just next door, we moved over to North so the repairmen had access to the boat. The staff was very courteous and helpful during our brief stay.

Not a place for transients, 2012-01-27
Captain: , North Carolina (21)

I stayed twice and both times they would not ring up my bill untill after I left. They promised to email an invoice and both times did not. They do not monitor the VHF and are hard to reach on the phone. The shower is in with the only toilet so people are always trying to get in while you are showering. This is a dry stack operation and no more.

very good facilities, 2011-12-05

. Docks are fixed and tide range such that on our KK42 had to exit from boat from to deck. However if there is room on the south channel wall exiting boat much easier. The North side of the channel is deeper but no power unless you can get to the very west of the wall. The south side of tNovemver 3,4he channel has power but we were aground at low tide (4ft 8 inch draft).

Excellent staff. Loggerhead marina seems to have finally gotten it act together compared to last year.

Resturants within walking distance,

would stay there again.
