Reviews for Lockport Town Docks
Good Place to Wait for the Opening Bridge, 2014-07-09
Captain: , Annapolis MD (258)

The bridge operator was working the bridge in Middleport so we pulled over to the dock to wait for his return. This dock is comprised of a wood platform on top of a stone wall. As the stone is recessed from the platform, our fendors tried to fill the gap. This put us very close to the wood platform. Uncomfortably close to spend a night. A larger boat with bigger fenders shouldn't have a problem.

Lower wall is quiet comfortable tieup, 2011-07-28
Captain: , Gulf Shores Alabama (748)

There are no facilities (water, electricity) on the lower wall, but it is a quaint and quiet place to tie up for the night. Just up the hill towards town on the right (100yds) there is the canal tour boat company that is a public building with nice clean rest rooms and coffee shop. They are used to visitors waiting for the canal cruise boats, and keep the facilities clean.

Nice free dock along the canal, 2011-04-08
Captain: , Huron,OH - Little River, SC (630)

No facilities here, just the dock. Town with whatever you might need is a few blocks away. As is typical on the canal, the lock tenders are friendly and helpful. Assisted fellow boater with replacement of lost prop and recovery of prop 4 months later when canal was drained.
Two stars only because no facilities
