Upscale marina superbly managed, 2016-12-26

This is a private marina that is part of a very upscale residential community and home to many expensive yachts. Consequently it has expectations to match. It is superbly manged by Capt Ray and Capt Mike who could not be more friendly, professional and helpful. Five star.

1 st class marina but not for everyone , 2015-10-26
Captain: , Columbia, NC (160)

Clearly this Marina is not for everyone - but if you want a first class marina maintained to very high standards with a very friendly and helpful staff in a very up scale residential community - this is it !

Do not answer phone or Radio, 2015-06-16

Was looking to stop for fuel but no answer......

Clean, safe and quiet facility, 2014-07-29
Captain: , Portland, ON (30)

Spent a month working on our catamaran this past winter. Capt Ray is wonderful, very professional, well organized and friendly. Nice facility, very upscale washrooms (a/c), gated neighbourhood and dog friendly.

An Upscale Marina Worth A Stay, 2014-01-07
Captain: , Amelia Island, Florida (40)

I would consider this an upscale little marina that is connected to a gated community of nice homes... well protected, extremely clean and modern everywhere with lots of decks with really nice facilities, lounge, etc.... no floating docks.... if you want elevator music while you're using the bathroom, it's here... pump outs only on Wed. here, and no fuel, but that did not affect me... I met a guy that keeps his boat here, Raising Sail, that makes high quality davits as a hobby... since I was in the market, I sailed away with a set of davits to install!

Thanks Capt Ray and Capt Art, 2013-11-24

Vicky and I stayed 2 nights at Loblolly Marina in Hobe Sound as we cruised to Deerfield Beach and return. Capt Ray and Capt Art met us at the dock and arranged for a dock side tie which facilitated an easy docking and an early departure. Capt Ray even tied the spring line while Vicky managed the stern tie. We were securely tied within minutes of our arrivel. We were given a tour of the marina and offers to use all the facilities which were spotlessly clean and exceptionally well maintained. The dock masters very professionally ensured that all our overnight needs were met. This marina is first class in every regard thanks to the dockmasters. Loblolly is another must stay for our future cruises on the Florida East Coast ICW.

You won't be disappointed with your stay at Loblolly Marina!

Thanks Capts Ray and Art

Very Nice Marina! Great People!, 2013-11-04
Captain: , Cape Porpoise, Maine (250)

Ray (on the phone) and Art (at the dock)(both Captains themselves) were very welcoming and efficient. We arrived during a period of strong winds and were given very specific and appropriate docking instructions. The slip was near the entrance to the marina, but was quiet and secure. Nothing nearby, however, so be ready to eat on board, order delivery or call a taxi. We would return.

A good place to tuck in, 2013-04-05
Captain: , Cape Haze, Fl (140)

An easy in-out from the intercoastal waterway. Dockmaster Ray was very helpful with lines and showing us around. Take the nature walk it leads into a lovely neighborhood. Didn't make it to the beach area as it was raining. We found it to be a lovely quiet place to duck out of a threatening storm. Would stay again.

Intriguing experience, 2012-01-05
Captain: , Charleston, SC (101)

Nicely tucked away and protected marina, but not much in terms of services or amenities for the price. The restaurant is part of condo association and not open to marina folk - nothing in waking distance.

Staff is very friendly once you can get a hold of them (call on cell is more promising than VHF). Once connecting, Captain Arthur's pontoon boat piloted us to the slip where locals helped us wedge in. Was quite fun and entertaining.

High transient rates and minimal services, 2011-11-29
Captain: , N. Myrtle Beach (343)

Loblolly is a beautiful marina but has minimal services. For $2/ft you would expect more. No fuel, pump out or 220V service on our dock. Great place to get out of the wind, nice people but not a good value

Nice facility, first class dockmaster, 2011-11-02
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

76' boat called as dark approached and Jason (dockmaster) squeezed us into bulkhead. Very accomodating was nasty wind and glad to be tied. Would go here again if only because of Jason but it was also a nice facility.

Home away from home, 2010-06-18
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale, Fl (70)

Great Staff and facilaty, feel very confident leaving boat there for extended period or spending time there

Very Nice Marina, 2009-12-12
Captain: , Baltimore (317)

Loblolly is a very nice marina just off the ICW. The wifi access is now working. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can dinghy accross the waterway to a really nice beach within a couple of minutes. There is nothing in walking distance of the marina and transportation is not easy to come by. There is currently no laundry machine but that is in the works. The only reason we did not stay longer was becuase of the noseeum bugs.
