Reviews for Little Creek Marina, Inc.
No Diesel Fuel -- Call, 2015-07-06
Captain: , Norfolk Virginia (469)

Little Creek Marina did not have diesel fuel last year and drought continues with estimate of if and when. Vinings does offer diesel (but were out 7/6/15 so also need to confirm).

Good place to clear in, 2013-05-27
Captain: , Edmonds, WA (460)

The other marina didn't have room for our 44ft sailboat, so these guys let us tie up the fuel dock. We took the dock at dark and cleared in with customs all over the phone. They at first said they were coming down, but latter called back and said we were free to go -- make sure you have a cellphone number available when clearing in. The fuel dock t-head is positioned strangely. Getting off the dock with a beam on wind was a challenge. Friendly staff, hot water in the showers, didn't stay long enough for anything else.

Overnight only, 2013-05-11
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1866)

Overnight after a sea trial night of 5-7-13. Stayed on fuel dock. Docks seem fragile, power did not work for 2 x 50. Price was 1.50 foot with Boat US, seemed high for what you get.

Fuel dock could be better, 2012-11-14

We stayed one night before heading south outside. We had difficulty getting into the fuel dock. The dock itself is a fixed T-head set back between other docks with slips on either side so it is a difficult approach from the creek in either direction. We had wind blowing us into the dock. There is no protection on the bollards of the dock so your only protection is your rubrail. The dock can handle only one boat 40+ ft at a time so took a long time for each boat ahead of us to fuel and pumpout.

Our slip was in the Bay part of the Little Creek Marina so to check in we had to go to the Little Creek office which was a walk. I had to ask about facilities - key codes for showers and laundry, address for taxi service, etc. but they offer a BoatUS discount so price was reasonable.

The location however is great for heading south outside instead of down the ICW.

Long term stay, 2012-03-06

We left our boat here for a month and had no problems.
Staff called each week with a report.Boat was fine on our return.

great stop for fuel, customs and airport, 2011-11-05

I usually pull into Little Creek on deliveries from the Caribbean and tie offf at the fuel pier to deal with clearing in, fueling up, and transferring crew. Marina staff very helpful, and entirely supportive. Never stayed overnight but see its an excellent spot to wait out weather and within reasonable taxi rides to supplies and a West Marine Express store.

things have changed here also, 2011-01-26

Little Creek, 2007-02-01

Very sad story. This nice little marina used to be locally owned. I kept my boat there for a couple of years. Then it got sold to a large corporation and the service went right into the toilet. New owners did a lot to spruce up the place, but what the lease holders got was a fancier place and lousy service. About a year and a half ago, a USN amphibious landing craft from the Little Creek NB across the creek backed into a piling which then fell onto my boat causing serious damage. NO ONE FROM THE MARINA EVEN BOTHERED TO CALL ME AND LET ME KNOW THAT THE ACCIDENT HAD OCCURED! Actually, the USN boat hit the piling which did not collapse immediately, but did so a few days later. Thus the USN said the marina was responsible and the marina said the USN was responsible and the result was that I was out the deductible to BOAT/US several hundred dollars for an accident in which I was not even involved. I personally find it impossible to believe that no one at the marina noticed the piling leaning across my boat, especially as my boat was docked right across from the fuel dock, and there had to be attendants down there almost constantly. The marina was negligent, the staff was uncooperative and the corporate management arrogant.

Another time, I left for a few days and while I was gone on my boat, they gave my slip to another boat (which stole my lines) and had my car towed because they decided to pave the parking lot while I was gone.

Avoid this place like the plague. As soon as I could get out of my lease, I was out of there!
