Reviews for Lighthouse Point Marina, Inc.
Fine overnight stop on the ICW, 2016-10-21
Captain: , currently Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4407)

We stayed here one night on our way to the Keys as the weather prevented us from going offshore. What a pain to wait for all those bridges, so we decided to break our Palm Beach to Ft. Lauderdale stretch into 2 days. Service was decent and the slip was fine. We ate at the onsite restaurant and found it satisfactory. Nothing much else around, but if we should every have to do the inside, we'll stop here again.

A Great Place to Stay, 2016-04-07

We stayed here 7 days and loved every minute of it. Great shower and laundry facilities. If you like walking or have bicycles you can get to Publix and other shopping in the area. We would stay here again.

delightful marina, 2016-04-01
Captain: , Niceville Florida (280)

Enjoy staying here. The marina provides all the usual amenities and they are clean and spotless. Pool is nice and the restaurant is very good. Dock assistance is superb. Stayed here three different times and it is always pleasant. Plenty of good area for dog walking. Although the docks are fixed they are in excellent shape, great protection on the the pilings.

Nice, Well protected, Friendly service, good resturant, 2015-12-06
Captain: , Senaca Lake Geneva, N.Y. (230)

Stayed 2 nites, waited for weather window to exit ICW out Hillsboro Inlet. 11/18/15 & 11/19/15. Inlet was a piece of cake that day/ timed departure w/ bridge opening. Got to say something about Tyler the boat detail young guy! Watched him work and WOW I'd hire him in a second!!

Very convenient, 2015-08-07
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

This is probably one of the easiest in/out fuel stops on the ICW.
It fits perfectly in our fueling schedule and we usually can fuel, pumpout and stock up on Corona ($11.00 a sixpack) and be outta there in less than 20 minutes.
Great staff, can't comment on the other issues as we never have stayed here.

Very nice. quiet, 2015-01-21
Captain: , St. Lucie River (158)

Spent the night while passing thriugh. Very nice ckub area, big pool, rest closed, but short taxi ride to some great rest: le bistro, seafood world. clean toilet/showers.

Acceptable stop, 2014-01-27
Captain: , Pasadena,Maryland (510)

Stopped overnight in 1/14. Good bathrooms, no cable, no wifi. Pool (to cold to use but looked nice). Resturant onsite. Good service by dockside personnel. Did pumpout at fuel dock. Located in very nice community.

Overall was a pleasant stop.

Going Downhill Fast 12/28/13, 2013-12-30
Captain: , Oriental (10)

Stopped there over Christmas on the way to Bahamas - 1 dockhand in a hurry to leave, no wifi, and no electricity after 2nd day . They said "move"!

Good marina, but...., 2013-08-18
Captain: , Acworth, GA (225)

My review mirrors others reviews with pluses being convenient location on the ICW, nice pool and deck, very clean and LARGE bathrooms and showers, and a great restaurant on site. Cap's Place restaurant just across the waterway and they have a free water taxi from the marina property to the restaurant. It's a 4 to 5 star restaurant, but the building is circa 1926. Highly recommended!
Now the but....
We were on the gas dock end of A dock almost next to the office and gas dock and could NOT get Internet service 150 feet away from the gas dock. We could not get a usable signal at the pool either. The restaurant had marginal service about 150 feet away. We ended up going to the gas dock and set inside on some rickety chairs and used a glass top display case of fishing supplies as our desk to post to our blog and to catch up on e mails. No cable TV service, but they get about 40 over the air TV stations here. The water pressure on the dock was poor, but issuable. The showers water pressure was great. Staff is very friendly and helpful and restaurant staff is great too. We don't have pets, but it is very pet friendly. All in all - a good stop. We would return if in this area again.

Update: When we checked out this morning, we needed a pump out. When we arrived, we purchased fuel before going to our slip, but deferred the pumpout due to staying three nights. When we pumped out this morning, they charged us another $10. I thought that was not fair since I only had a half full holding tank and had already purchased over 100 gallons of fuel, plus the three nights and electric charge on top of that. I hate it when a marina nickels and dime you, and would have passed on the pumpout if they had told me upfront that it would cost me $10. It's not they money that bothers me, it is that they did not clearly indicate what the charges would be. I still don't like the fact that I was not able to get a Wi Fi connection on my boat 150 feet from their router, and had to use the office and the laundry room to take care of business on my computer. We still liked the marina, but keep these caveats in mind when deciding to stay here.

It's in the Ratings- It's all Excellent, 2013-03-06
Captain: , Nyack, NY (556)

Stopped here for a pump=out going south. They could not have been nicer. (I place a lot of weight on attitude and appearance. ) The place was ship shape and the staff (family operated) was knowledgable in docking and hospitality. If they served Valve-tect fuel, I would have filled up. Would definately give them my business if I was staying near here.

Helpful Staff, 2013-02-14
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

We pulled in here after our Bow thruster, DSM and the Starport Engine failed. Great Stuff helping us to dock at the T-head for one night. There is also a nice restaurant on site. Clean bathrooms

Great Stopping Point - Terrific Facility, 2013-02-01
Captain: , Browns Cove, MD (402)

Stopped here traveling South. Super helpful staff, friendly and accommodating. Few marinas had room for us on a power cat that is 22 ft wide. The dock master and fuel dock attendant were both fantastic. Well kept clean and quiet facility with reasonable prices. Good location too. Would recommend for sure and would come back.

Very helpful staff, 2012-11-25

Staff is very friendly. Great little resort atmosphere. Tight fairways for sailboats. Good diesel prices.

A neat marina, 2012-06-09
Captain: , San Francisco, CA (211)

Found by accident just North of the Hillsboro Inlet. Small marina mostly boats under 40 feet. Fairways a little tight. Very good restaurant on site, pool, helpful dockmaster. Watch the current

Great stop, easy in and out, helpful dock hands, 2012-03-23
Captain: , Charleston, SC (54)

Stoped here going South, there is a new good restaurant on site, easy docking hands are very helpful. Price was not bad for the services rendered and facility location. Look forward to stoping on our way back North. Good pool and tennis courts. Stay there for a week and ask for a free night. Capt. Dennis

Nice Stop before/after Ft. Lauderdale, 2011-05-23
Captain: , Josephine Alabama (183)

Good laundry/shower facilities. Good stop before/after Ft. Lauderdale. Will be even better when restaurant opens. Friendly/helpful dock personnel. Be mindful of the current when docking.

Class act; right on ICW, 2011-05-15
Captain: , New Orleans, LA (40)

After demoralizing stay at Titusville Municipal Marina a couple of days earlier, this was a great boon. Top notch condition of marina, excellent shower and bath facilities, pool, great staff, easy tie up. Take the one minute water taxi from adjacent the marina to Cap's Place across the canal for a vintage experience; good seafood at elevated prices.

Great stop if running on the outside, 2011-04-10
Captain: , Waretown, NJ (344)

Clean facilities, great access to the Hillsboro bridge if you're inclined to run on the outside. Fixed docks, nice little store attached.

Very Accomodating, 2011-02-09
Captain: , East Greenwich, RI (212)

We pulled in here after spying the fuel dock from the ICW. After fueling up and taking a small look see we ask about overnight dockage. We were promptly shown several available slips and after choosing one we were tied off by the helpful dockmaster. This is a nice facility with a nice swimming pool. Also ask to see their pet tarpons.
