Reviews for Leverick Bay Resort and Marina
Never come here, 2017-04-17
Captain: , St Petersburg, FL (120)

I do not usually review places, positively or otherwise, but this place is horrible and people need to know. I've visited twice in the mooring field and once to anchor. The roll from the constant ferry traffic is nonstop from 0630 to well past sunset; the food is overpriced and poor quality; but perhaps the most disturbing is the completely incompetent unprofessional staff at the fuel dock. Simply put, the are all moronic. Only one of the lot works, and he's 16 yrs old. The rest of them sit in their collective backsides and couldn't handle a line to save their life.

Relaxed Marine Resort, 2016-05-21
Captain: , Melbourne FL (120)

We initially took a mooring ball but then switched to the Marina because at $1/foot its only a few dollars more and very convenient , plus the slips seem well protected from waves. Ashore nice bar Jumbies good for breakfast or bar meals or just coffee and good convenience store which is well stocked. Nice laid back atmosphere and quieter than Bitter End by the sound of it.

Nice but expensive, 2016-04-13
Captain: , Safety Harbor FL (1100)

We moored for an afternoon and had lunch at the bar, very pricey. We also went to the Michael Bean show, big crowd but not out kind of entertainment. Wifi is free.

July 2015 Visit, 2015-07-21
Captain: , Winthrop, ME (200)

Great marina with a lot to do. There is all sorts of water sports things to rent, a spa, laundrymat ($3 each for was and dry), fairly well stocked grocery store, free showers and bathrooms, and fresh water pool. With a $30 mooring you get 100 gallons of water and 1 eight pound bag of ice free. Garabage disposal is $2.50 per bag. Jumbies is a nive beach bar with fairly good food. $10 Pizza night on Wednesdays a nice change from the typical cruising food in the BVI's.

Great spot, 2015-06-11
Captain: , Charleston, SC (135)

We only stayed in the marina 2 nights but used their facilities a lot while anchored out. The fuel dock is very easy to approach and you get 100 gallons of free water if you stay in a slip or on one of their mooring balls. The laundry facilities are small and in high demand but still adequate. Great beach bar with lots of entertainment. They have signs posted stating dogs are not allowed in the resort but they never said anything to us about our small dog. However, the owner%u2019s dog roams the property and is very unfriendly to other dogs. Absolutely will go back.

Nice Stopover, 2015-05-20

Came in here for one night to stage for the crossing to St Martin. Like pervious reviews I found the staff here very friendly and willing to help. However the dock master insisted we back in to the slip. Cab to customs in Gunn Creek was $5 a head there and $5 back. Outstanding view. The food in the restaurant was good but a tad more than we expected to pay but then again we are in the BVI. The dock master let us stay past the noon checkout until we were ready to get underway. I would come back and at $1.00 ft it's pretty reasonable.

Very nice facility, 2015-04-21
Captain: , Apollo Beach, FL (928)

Stayed here one night in mid-November after 11-day passage from Hampton, VA, then returned frequently to do laundry, get water, and fill up the dinghy gas tank. Fuel dock staff is friendly and efficient. Laundry is reasonable with 3 working washers and 4 dryers. Store is small, but has good selection. Good library in resort office. Don't miss the Jumbies or Michael Bean's show.

Overnight stop, 2015-02-27
Captain: , Middle River (40)

This is a great place for an overnight returning from Anagada. Slip fees are very reasonable and water is free with mooring or slip. Pool and bar are close to beach with no surf so kids love the pool/beach combination. Don't miss the Michael Bean happy arrrrr from 5 - 7. Great show for adults and kids. Also, Dive BVI offers scuba trips from the dock. We stay here every trip to BVI.

Great Spot and Great Bar, 2014-02-24
Captain: , Halfax, N.S. (20)

All amentities available including free water and ice with mooring, laundry, showers, fuel, market, restaurants, live entertainment and Jumbies - best bar/pub we've visited. Most friendly and least expensive spot in the North Sound. Folks at Jumbies bar are best staff we've encountered to date in the BVI's. Kathy, Teta, Ali and Kyle went out of their way to ensure we had a great time including making sure Olympic hockey was available for all crazy Canadians to watch and enjoy regardless of the hour. Thanks for a great visit.

Great Beach Bar - Jumbies Dancers!!!, 2014-01-12
Captain: , Gilbert AZ (20)

Me and the admiral stayed a couple of days on a mooring ball while cruising around the BVI. Had the pleasure of participating in the Jumbie Dancer show. Great time. Plan on visiting again very soon.

Very Nice Marina, 2013-07-14
Captain: , Seattle, WA (415)

Very nice marina and they gave us a great price, almost as cheap as a mooring buoy. But we had winds comings from the east and we rolled almost non stop for 3 days. Understand this isn't normal if the wind is coming from any other direction.

GREAT STOP! Fun Family Entertainment! Great Activities & Amenities!, 2013-04-17
Captain: , St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (404)

This is really a great stop. We will probably make it a regular stop for our charter guests if time allows for it. Mooring balls are $30, but there is plenty of free anchoring available too. 100 gallons of water and one bag of ice for free with purchase of a mooring ball or boat slip. Super great entertaining Family Friendly pirate show with authentic fun singing pirate playing guitar while you enjoy drinks in chairs at tables in the sand on the beach.

Nice fresh water swimming pool overlooking the bay.

Bar drinks are a bit pricey at $4-$5 for beer, and $15 for Patrone Margaritta. There is fine dining upstairs that is a bit more pricey with appetizers at $12-$16 and entrees at $24 for chicken, $34 for sea bass or rack of lamb, and $38 for beef & veal.

We enjoyed it, our guests loved it and you will too!

Leverick Bay Marina, 2012-03-26
Captain: , Warrington, Pa (116)

Great place to spend a couple days. Slips were very reasonable and includes topping off your water tanks along with a bag of ice, A Great Deal. David the dock master and his crew are very helpful. Friday night beach party buffet was great with the beach bar and the Jumbies.
Overall the facility is very nicely maintained all though the bathroom / showers could use some attention.
We always plan to spend at least one night of our cruise at Leverick Bay Marina.

Leverick Bay Marina, 2012-03-16
Captain: , Beach haven NJ (510)

This marina gave us a great slip for our 44 Lagoon Catamaran at a very reasonable price for not much more than a mooring ball would cost. The location is fantastic and there is good restaurant and bar on the premises and teh bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We took a taxi to the Baths and had a great time. I will be back.

Relaxing spot, 2011-11-24
Captain: , Darien Ga (125)

Pulled into Leverick Bay marina after an all day sail from Peter island and this is a great place to relax. They give free water and free Ice for customers who rent a ball or a slip. We got a slip and stayed 2 days but could have easily stayed 2 weeks. Great views, very nice staff and a very great place to recharge for the next leg of your trip. Highly recommend renting a car and exploring the island. Car rental from "Speedy's" for the day was about the same as a taxi ride to the baths, and they bring the car to you and pick it back up when you are done.

Great family fun, 2011-04-30
Captain: , Northport, New York (97)

Friday night BBQ with JUMBIES was lots of fun for the kids

Great stop before Anegada, 2010-11-26
Captain: , Ocean Springs MS (1444)

This is a great place to stop as alternate to Spanish Town. Laundry, food, shopping. We use this as jumpoff to Anegada. Somewhat buggy so have repellent ready

Leverick Bay Marina, 2009-06-03
Captain: , Sausalito, CA (161)

Good stop for fuel, groceries, ice, showers. Tie up in a slip on their T-pier or rent a mooring. Excellent restuarant. Friday night buffet with Mocko Jumbie show.

Leverick Bay, 2007-12-19
Captain: , Big Sky, MT (78)

This place rocks! Literally, check the local schedules to find out when they are having a band; mot to be missed. The fresh water/ medium chlorinated pool is great to wash off all that salt and sand. Leverick is on the upper end of expensive but worth it.
