Operation (seasonal or year-round)

Additional info: Most of the charter fleet based here shuts down in October until around May, and flights into the local airport drop way off, but the marina itself is open year round. The off season sailing here is highly recommended.

Approach is down a canal that is pretty well marked. Note this is a stern tie marina as most in the region are. The lines that run from the bottom harbour half way between each set of docks for each slip. They are tied off to the slip, so someone needs to hand it to you at the stern of the boat, then you need to walk it forward, can be tricky on the odd day there is a lot of wind. The marina staff will usually come out to give you a hand.

Reviews for Lefkas Marina
Good marina - great town, 2016-09-03
Captain: , Swanwick UK (938)

We have spent a lot of time over the years in Lefkas Marina (2005, 2006, 2013, 2014 and 2016) so have seen it develop. Facilities are good, people are nice, service is fine - as others say, good facilities in town and technical services locally. It's the "go to" place in the Ionian in our opinion for technical work or a marina stay but we prefer to head over to Preveza for on land winter storage. If you are staying afloat, then Lefkas is better. The marina policy has changed since being taken over by the Turkish D-Marin - electricity and water no longer included in the berthing fee, and I can't say that I've noticed the berthing fee being reduced as a result though! Electricity is 15 euros cents KwH (which is quite cheap) and water is 14 euros per 1000 litres (which is conversely quite expensive!). Buy a tag at the marina office and top up when needed - the tag has a refundable deposit - unlike some marinas where you have to buy the card outright.

Efficient Fuel Dock, 2016-07-21
Captain: , Carson City, NV (8659)

I only went to the fuel dock but was impressed by the staff's speed and efficiency. I was able to fill up on diesel, water and propane, plus the the bridge schedule all in 15 minutes.

Expensive but Worth It, 2014-11-20
Captain: , Avondale Rhode Island (20)

Wintering afloat in Lefkas Marina (2014) about 2000 Euros for 42ft includes water and electric, nice new bathrooms, but showers are metered. Comfortable, well sheltered docks. Lefkada town is just across the harbor, charming, with good shopping, restaurants, chandleries, marine services. Nice cruiser community winters over. In season marina is a very busy charter base. Ionian islands provide beautiful sheltered crusing ground with many harbors and anchorages.

Top quality, 2012-10-18
Captain: , Conwy (10)

The marina staff meet you at the entrance to the marina and guide you to a berth and help you tie-up. The rates are reasonable (56 euros a night for a 40 footer in August 2012). All the staff speak good english. The facilities are excellent, several engineers/chandlers, showers, fuel etc.
