Reviews for Lee Spry Marine and Boatyard
He made time for our repair, 2016-11-29
Captain: , Ft. Collins, CO (331)

We arrived at Lee's with a bad alternator and Syncronizer drive head. Then we hit a stump getting fuel and bent the port prop. Lee, who was in a very busy time pulling boats, worked us in his schedule and got everything repaired. He even arranged a ride to Corinth, MS to get our rental car. The work was excellent and the bill was reasonable. Thank you Lee for a job well done.

A boatyard, 2016-10-18
Captain: , Baltimore (529)

We had time and needed our bottom taken back to gelcoat and repainted. Lee Spry and his crew were waiting for us with the travellift when we arrived. Once hauled, the bottom was powerwashed (by a guy in bare feet). The next six days they sanded and scraped the bottom. Two days to paint the bottom and repaint the boot stripe. We were to be launched on Friday but weather got in the way, so Lee came in on Saturday to paint the jackstand spots and launch us.
I made the mistake of not getting the pricing all confirmed and unfortunately was surprised by items not included in the "All inclusive package".

Always My Choice, 2016-10-16
Captain: , Charleston (20)

Lee Sprey was recommended to me 90 miles South on the TennTom in 2012 and again as I cruised north. As bad luck would have it an engine overheated abount 30 miles away so I called Lee and he waited while we limped in. Was hauled early the next morning and problem solved. Chargers were very resonable.
We were back in the area 2 years later and had Lee haul us with a list of items I thought needed to be done. Returned several weeks later to find half the list done. Lee met me and reported that the rest did not need to be done so he did not do them. Lee Spry is undoubtably a fair and honest boatyard owmer. I willl be back in that area next fall and Lee will be given another list which he will evaluate and do only what is neccessary

Honest Boat Yard, 2016-09-02
Captain: , Newburgh In (303)

We had our bottom painted, cutlass bushing and PSS Dripless replaced by Lee. Had the Props Tuned and Balanced at Hoyt Peden's Prop Shop. Lee is soft spoken and obviously honest and a veteran mechanic with much knowledge. This is a boat repair yard only with a 100 ton lift. When we were there Lee had an 86 foot yacht in the yard for mechanicals and top and bottom paint. Lee and his wife Jo treated us fare and we were satisfied with the work and the cost. We stayed the week off the boat at the Grand Harbor Rental/Condos and rented a car from the local Nissan dealer.

Fantastic Service, 2015-10-14
Captain: , Green Cove Springs FL (1394)

After Parking the Boat in Florence for 11 months taking road trips
we sorely needed a Short Haul to pressure wash bottom and inspect running gear before heading to Mobile, Al. We arrived at Lee Spry on 9-23-15 at 1:30 P.M. With our Marine Trader 50. We drove right into the slings on his 100 Ton Travel Lift and were back in the water at 3:49 P.M. Very reasonable and Money well spent since it was 2 years since last inspection. Met Lee and Secretary "Joe" and they are both very knowledgeable. Lee really knows his way around boats and I would definitely go back again. Very Honest yard and a pleasure to do business with
Chief Engr Bob Onboard Allez!

This was a first time haul-out for me so I was kinda lost. Mr Lee was real helpful in answering all my questions and was very patient. They do excellent work at a fair price and all his employees were very helpful and nice, Bill appeared to be his right hand man and he was very helpful in answering all my questions and giving me sound advice. Mr Lee's wife Joe was also helpful in answering my questions over the telephone and is also a genuine person,It doesn't get any better than these folks, excellent to do business with and I would recommend them to everyone. Thanks Lee Spry Marine for a job WELL DONE.....Capt B.B.Barker.....TWO ALARM....

Quality Work, 2015-07-02
Captain: , Madison, Wisconsin (20)

Excellent mechanic and staff provided much needed repairs at a fair price. 100 ton lift is the biggest between Mobile and Chicago. I am one of many satisfied customers. Not fancy yet quality service.

Good fair yard, 2014-09-19
Captain: , Corpus Christi,Tx (1569)

Had a quick haul done to replace props. Job was done quickly and professionaly. Price was fair. We would use this yard again.

Excellent yard, 2014-09-07
Captain: , Winter Garden, Fl (2350)

Lee Spry is a class act. He provides professional, competant service at a fair price. We had our generator worked on - rebuilt injectors and a repair to the heat exchanger. While we were able to tie up to his service dock (w/power and water) for two days, he completed the repairs. He has an excellent staff and 24 hour security. I would have Lee work on my boat anytime. Best prices in town!

Top quality service and people, 2013-10-19
Captain: , Fort Smith Arkansas (131)

Strictly a boat maintenace facility. Highly qualified for most likely any boat service needed. Honest friendly people who seem to care. Last of the breed. Would recommend them to anyone.

Good Mechanic with great integrity, 2013-09-03
Captain: , Pickwick (70)

I'm a local boat owner. This guy is a down to earth good mechanic. He will not try to empty your wallet out by charging to many hours for a simple job like Aqua Harbor. Better mechanics than Aqua Harbor. Will pull and block boat and let you work on your own boat if you want. The guys that work for him are seasoned mechanics. The secretary (his wife) has a bit of an attitude on the phone, but when you get to know her she is fine.

If it service that you seek, this is it., 2012-07-22
Captain: , Collierville TN (977)

No transient slips. Strickly a boat yard, but my best choice for service in the area.
No frills, but great service. Largest travel lift between Chicago and Mobile. A world of knowledge, along with high integrity. And you can't beat the price.
Allows you to do some work on your own while on the hard.

Thank you for the very quick help., 2011-12-08
Captain: , Channel Islands, California (1149)

We blew up our transmission and within less than a week we were on the go again. Lee and his yardsmen are excellent at what they do. They are far from anything so if you get stuck there you should make arrangements for some kind of transportation.

Good yard, 2007-01-28
Captain: , Jupiter, FL (1306)

Good prices on bottom paint jobs as well as engine repair.
Gel coat work.
Largest lift between Chicago and Mobile and always enough water. This is Aqua's limitation. In the fall water depth at Aqua's lift is too shallow for most cruising boats.
