Reviews for Larchmont Yacht Club
Nice facilities but mediocre mooring field, 2014-07-26
Captain: , Altantic Highlands (166)

I have nothing to add about the facilities themselves: it is a beautiful, if utterly typical, east CT yacht club. The problem is that the moorings are relatively unprotected from the SW, which is where the wind and waves come from over 50% of the time. If the wind is over 10kt, expect to bounce all night. It does not particularly help that the club has put the transient moorings way out -- it feels a bit as if you are in the middle of the LI Sound.

Classic yacht club with history, 2012-01-14
Captain: , Huntington (455)

We use LYC to visit with our friends in Westchester and CT. It is a great staging point to watch the various sailboat races and the mooring field is easy to navigate. Launch service is very professional. The club makes you feel like you have gone back in time to the Gold Coast era. Absolutely worth the trip.

Beautiful old line Yacht Club, 2010-06-26
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (1134)

LYC offers reciprocal priveleges to members of recognized yacht clubs. Moorings only. Work dock available for pump outs and water as space is available. Mooring field is open to the South and West. Guest moorings are in outer harbor near breakwater. Very efficient launch service with knowledgable and courteous launch operators.
