Reviews for Lakeside Yacht Club
Great place, 2015-08-19
Captain: , Lorain, OH (54)

SPent a fun Saturday night here- there was a free dock party hosted by one of the docks and we were all invited- even just when passing through. Good fuel docks, nice bathrooms and pool. DId not use the clubhouse, but they had a band there as well, and seemed to be a good time.

Well Protected, 2014-07-18
Captain: , Wilmington, De. (152)

We really enjoyed our stay here. Friendly club members, lively bar, good restaurant. $10 cab ride to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, $15 fare to Great Lakes Brewing Co -- good tour, great beer and food. Gated entrance to club so we felt very safe. Well proected harbor

Delightful marina, 2013-08-14
Captain: , Harrison Twp, MI (350)

Our stay here was delightful, we ended up staying 3 days. Helpful crew, great restaurant, nice pool, pristine bathrooms and showers. I would definitely recommend this marina to all.

Great location, 2013-08-09
Captain: , traverse city (120)

Friendly, helpful staff, top notch showers, etc, easy access to fuel, pumpout. wide fairways $1.50/ft

Convenient Stopover, 2013-06-20
Captain: , Avondale, PA (448)

Spent a short night here on a trip east on Lake Erie. Bought diesel fuel at a reasonable price and got a pump out from the friendly fuel dock staff. Location is convenient for an easy in and out of the harbor. There aren't many facilities within walking distance but club restaurant was quite good. Head and showers were in excellent shape and clean. The airplane and car noise didn't bother us at all.

Nice club - great clubhouse, 2012-08-21
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

Great stopover. Reasonably priced and convenient in and out for lake access.
Would have given it five stars but the traffic noise from interstate 90 was pretty bad.

Excellent Harbor and Facility, 2012-05-31
Captain: , Lakeside Yacht Club (250)

Great harbor for refuge. Deep water throughout (10 ft).
Gas, Diesel, Pumpout, restaurant, and bar.

Captain: , Lake in The Hills, Illinois (542)

Very protected harbor and depth is excellent. Larry is the club manager and he is outstanding. Tom is in charge of the docks and also very helpful. The dock hands are very knowledgeable and always eager to help. The Yacht Club is closed on Mondays. The restaurant food and service is great. Can't say enough good things about the facility. Only draw back is outside of club everything is at least 2 miles away. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Cleveland Browns stadium also 2 miles away. Highly recommend for a nice safe place to stay

My Favorite in Cleveland, 2011-08-03
Captain: , Sandusky, OH (284)

Tom is dockmaster. Very nice guy willing to help in any way he could. Very well protected marina - great safe haven in a storm. Restaurant is outstanding. Not what you would expect and very reasonbly priced. Good water depth for even the deepest keels. Dock hands ready to assist except on Monday.

Nice Place, but lots of airport noise, 2010-07-20
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

We pulled into LYC on a Monday and was met by Larry, who handles transient dockage. The reason that I'm mentioning this is that the club is closed on Mondays and Larry came in to check us in. As you can well imagine, Larry was a very nice guy.

We can't tell you a lot about the restaurant as those were closed, but they looked nice. The docks are in OK shape and well spaced. There's a lot of airport noise as the marina is at the end of a Cleveland airport runway.

The R&R Hall of Fame is a 1.8 mile walk from here and they close at 5:30 on most days.

Gem of Cleveland, 2010-07-16
Captain: , Cleveland, OH (10)

Nice facility with very friendly members. Food is way above what you would typically expect, and the staff is better than most restaurants. Great place to stop as you tour the Great Lakes. Close proximity to all downtown attactions including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
