Reviews for Lake Park Marina
Great Stop!, 2016-06-22
Captain: , Houston (130)

A welcome, quiet spot after maneuvering thru the fun in the sun by Riviera! Dockmaster and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities are clean and secure. Not a lot of amenities, but a great spot to rest.

Had to return to marina after in ocean ; Burkey Marine Group gave us a quick turn around., 2016-05-16
Captain: , West Palm Beach (21)

A great after hours last minute repair we thank Greg Burkey Marine 772-215-7663

Hospitality Plus, 2016-03-16
Captain: , Wilmington, NC (40)

Our experience here was very fine. Ken met us on the slip finger and from then on he and John was were only positive and helpful, even had treats for our pups. Nice grassy area for dog walking and dog bag dispenser on site. Showers and laundry clean and handy. We look forward to a return visit.

Hidden treasure, 2015-11-04
Captain: , Annapolis (40)

We stop here before hopping over to the bahamas. Easy out to the ocean. The crew here is the best and a reason to stay here. Many great places to enjoy a breakfast / lunch / dinner close by. North of the "combat zone " in Riveria beach.

good place to stop, 2015-02-05
Captain: , Clearwater FL (685)

Not much to add to privies posts. We stop here on the way to Trawler Fest, and we did have help docking. Publix is a bit of a hike, as is Boat Owners Warehouse. We had some work done by Greg from Burkey Marine Group, did good job.

Very accomodating, 2014-12-06
Captain: , Hampton, Va (210)

east access from ICW. Very friendly and competent staff. WInn Dixie is closed here and out of business. Marina staff went out of there way to take us and pick us up at nearby Publix. marina is clean and well kept. Worth a stop over for transients.

Convenient, low-key marina with a great location, 2014-07-02
Captain: , Merritt Island, FL (372)

This is a great alternative to the high-priced, high-current marinas on the other side of the river. It's on the west side of the river a little further away from the inlet, so there is no current at all inside the marina. There is a Winn Dixie directly adjacent to the marina and there's a Dunkin' Donuts and several restaurants all within walking distance. Staff was surprisingly friendly and helpful for a municipal marina. Showers are a long walk if you're on the south side (all the way around the perimeter), but there are bathrooms (no showers) much closer at the boat ramp office. All bathroom and shower facilities were nice and clean. All-in-all a very pleasant marina experience.

Decent Marina - No Frills, 2014-03-13
Captain: , Palm Beach, FL (133)

This is a municipal marina with no frills. It is located in a park like setting. They have both floating and fixed slips. The fairways are wide and docking is easy, very little current. The docks are concrete and in very good condition. Prices are average for the area.

If you are on the floating docks, it is unlikely you will get assistance docking from marina staff. There are no dock hands. The marina office is on the other side of the lagoon from the floating docks and a bit of a walk from the floating docks.

There is a sea wall which reduces wave action from the ICW, but on a busy day you will rock somewhat. There is no speed limit on the ICW in front of the marina.

There is fuel, showers, pump-out, and rest rooms, but little else. There is no pool, no barbque area, and no other amenities. NO CABLE TV. They do have Wi-Fi, but it is not high-speed, it appears it is limited to 2mbs per connection.

The rest rooms are clean and secure. They lock the gate to the floating docks at night, but the fixed docks are not secured.

There is a Winn-Dixie supermarket about 100 yards from the floating docks. Boat-Owners-Warehouse is a mile or so south on the same road.

Acceptable stop, 2014-01-27
Captain: , Pasadena,Maryland (510)

No assistance during docking. Floating piers are a long way from the restrooms/showers/laundry- we did not use. Rest rooms associated with boat ramp were convenient but not secure. Winn Dixie adjacent to marina site- very convenient. We did not use- but it was there.

Three stars mainly because of the grocery store. No help from marina staff.

Two for One, 2013-04-19
Captain: , Trenton ON (658)

Make use of their 2 for 1 deal, stay 2 nights pay for 1. Washrooms are far and the office is a hike but Ken is great and very helpful. Local boaters are very friendly.

Good Place for Provisioning for Bahama Trip, 2012-11-29
Captain: , Solomons, MD (882)

This is a good place to get ready to go go the Bahamas. There is a Winn Dixie close by, Boat Owner's Warehouse is about 2 miles away, adn there are a bunch of good repair services. On the downside, the marina has very few facilities (e.g. grills, pool), can be a bit rolly and is a bit pricey. We will continue to use it as our launch and recovery point from the Bahamas.

great marina, 2012-11-11
Captain: , N Fort Myers, Florida (516)

The harbor master and staff are extremely helpfull, they have fixed and floating docks that are in excellent condition. Fuel is high, but the same as others in the area.
We stopped back 1.5 years later and it is still a great marina. About the only thing it doesnt have is a pool.

Great hidden secret, 2012-10-28
Captain: , Fort Pierce City Marina, FL (420)

This is a great municipal marina. New concrete floating docks & a nice sea wall. Though we rocked & rolled as Hurricane Sandy blew by, we were glad we were at this marina! 1 block from Winn-Dixie grocery store. 1 mile from Boat Owner's warehouse & 5 miles from West Marine. Staff were all friendly and dockmaster Ken was extremely helpful & willing to stay late to help us get tied up. Lots of available slips. Locked gates & restrooms at night.

Great starting place for Bahamas cruise., 2011-11-13
Captain: , Denver NC (329)

The marina is really nice and close to shopping so you can provision up before you head off for the Bahamas. The truck and trailer parking is secure and reasonable. There is a security guard that keeps an eye on things at night. It's a nice alternative to staying at anchor at Peanut Island.

perfect location if you need groceries, 2011-11-09
Captain: , Marco Island, FL (1135)

The marina is just fine and the people are great. But it is about 1/2 a block walk to Winn Dixie - that has a liquor store in addition to groceries. You can take a dock cart to the store and bring back all your groceries.

Nice harbour, 2011-07-19
Captain: , Cincinnati (1800)

Marina is clean and well maintained. It is close to grocery(less than 1000 ft) and many restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have floating concrete docks. Lots of charter/dive boats use harbour for thier base. Harbour can be a little rocky and rolly during day from boats outside the marina entrance but not really too bad. Would stay here again if we ever travel through this area again. DO NOT USE SCUBBA SCRUBERS FOR BOTTOM CLEANING. They do not bill the quoted prices. We could not get an answer from them about the difference.

Convenient location, 2011-04-22
Captain: , Lansdale, PA (330)

The marina is in a nice spot with a park overlooking the ICW and very convenient to Dunkin' Donuts, grocery and liquor store. The showers were clean, docks in good condition and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The perfect spot to wait on a crossing to the Bahamas, 2011-04-09
Captain: , Wilmington Deleware (330)

We pulled in December 26, 2010 to wait on a good day to cross to the Bahamas only to discover we had a problem with our generator, so we stayed a month. The staff at this marina could not be finer! They went out of their way to help us and make our stay as pleasant as could be. We give the staff an A++++ This marina is near everything you could need.

Very Helpful Staff, Nice Docks, 2011-01-21
Captain: , Wilson, NY (432)

Showers dirty first day, but we stayed a second day and they had been cleaned. Exceptionally helpful & friendly staff. We asked for and were put on floating concrete docks, very nice. Walked to Winn Dixie (right next door) and Boat Owners Warehouse (about a mile) Manatees hang out in the marina.

Great place to stay! Local info and referals, 2011-01-07
Captain: , Kent island MD (41)

This is a great location! Mike Pisano (Harbor Master) has a beautiful marina. Clean facilities, knowledgeable / helpful staff. Rates are great as well. This is a SAFE neighborhood and they have security guards that walk around all night! Food and supplies are close by with in walking distance. Would recommend heading NORTH from the marina for picking up supplies not south - neighbor does change as you go south (avoid) - all points north are a quick walk away! ALSO there is a DUNKIN DONUTS a block away!
Used Wayne Phelps of Phelps Marine Services 772-579-8719 for a mechanical issue - very reasonable and extremely knowledgable...

Good facilities - rolly basin, 2011-01-05
Captain: , Havre de Grace, MD (299)

Good, clean marina. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hardware store that was nearby now gone. Dollar store and cheap grocery(Sav-a-lot) about 4 blocks away.

A bit of a rough neighborhood, but safe enough durning the day.

Many wakes from passing boats in ICW channel make this a rolly basin. We rocked significantly during our stay.

Convenient and Friendly, 2010-12-19
Captain: , Cobbs creek va (193)

WinnDixie on the corner, hot showers, clean restrooms and laundry, and a bus system that almost as good as Vero's; $0.70 for seniors; runs by the door

Great Marina Clean and Easy Access, 2010-06-24
Captain: , Lake Park, FL (19)

If you're looking for a great marina to stay a night or stay permanently, Lake Park Harbor Marina will accommodate you. We keep our 47' Mainship Motor Yacht here permanently and run our Dockside Boat and Breakfast charter business here.

New floating docks, 2009-04-09
Captain: , Sarasota, FL - Newport, RI (435)

The marina added new floating docks-- very convenient to Lake Worth Inlet for departure to the Bahamas!

Nice New Facilities, 2008-01-20
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, FL (79)

Brand new docks and restrooms. Convenient location, helpful staff. Winn Dixie next door. Request face dock, fairway very narrow for turning and maneuvering.
