Reviews for Lake Arthur
Interesting stop, 2016-06-02
Captain: , Galveston (58)

Spent four nights just prior to Memorial Day. Thought they might have a band or parade but no special activities. The dock is at the end of the main drag, a small deli, drug store and several bars in easy walking distance. More stores and restaurants further away. The Regatta Restaurant is right next to the town dock and has a long dock to tie along side and a few smaller slips for pontoon boats and such.
We had some 20-25 knot winds with gusts to 30 and the one pole we were tied to with the back of the boat looked like it might come loose at any time so I ran two more lines to two other poles. The poles are in good shape but the fasteners are severly rusted.
When you get close, don't look for the normal power pedestals. The power connections are yellow receptacles mounted on the outside of the handrail around the boardwalk.

Restaurant not open on Monday, 2012-03-05
Captain: , Kemah Texas (90)

We found out that the restaurant is not open on Monday. Walked to the police dept. to inquire and were told to go ahead and stay the night. Had a wonderful steak on our grill with a great view of the lake and surrounding area. Great trip up the river - well worth the time and bread from the ICW. Well marked with depths mostly at 23" or better. Marina will be started sometime in2012 right now only available is to tie up to restaurant or pier.

Louisiana's Best Kept Secret, 2012-01-20
Captain: , Beaumont, TX (669)

Hearing good reports about the new restaurant (Regatta) in Lake Arthur we were thrilled when met at the dock by the mayor Robbie Bertrand and the owner Greg Trahan. They help us get tied up and hooked up to power for $10.00/ night. The service, hospitality and quality of food at the restaurant was without a doubt the best we have had in the southeast Texas \Lousiana area.
