Reviews for Peg Leg Pete's Restaurant
Fried Grouper is fantastic, 2015-08-05

We had a pretty long wait but it was well worth it. The food was wonderful. I can't speak to the marina / docking as we are anchored in Little Sabine Bay. We walked the long mile and a half after taking the dinghy ashore in the bay. That was before we knew there was a free trolley that runs up and down Fort Pickens Road until midnight, seven days a week. We took the trolley back but should have done the opposite. We needed to walk off all the great food.

Worth the trip, 2015-07-28

We ate here our first evening in the bay and subsequently returned for more. The wait for a table was 45 minutes to an hour. After finding a spot at the bar, we stuffed ourselves on hot shrimp and baked oysters. We tried the Blue Marlin a couple of days later. We paid for our appetizers there and came back to Peg Leg Petes to finish the evening.

Best oysters and lobster in town., 2015-02-10

Great place for a great meal and drink...its ususally crowded in the summertime but its worth the wait if any.

Best place on the beach!, 2014-01-08

Peg Legs is off the hook! I really don't waste time with any other restaurant when wanting great beach food on the island. The food is great and fresh. They have indoor or outdoor seating. Yes, the marina is very limited in what they offer, but they do have 2-3 slips for guests. I sail a 38' catamaran with a 22' beam, so I anchor out in the bay and dinghy it in and this is much easier than messing with lines and fenders. I've never had a problem with being people messing with the boat when doing this.

Great Stop Over, 2012-09-25

We recently sailed to Peg Leg Pete's for a one nighter. The food was great and the noise was not a bother to us and we were right behind the restaurant. We were in a 23 ft sailboat with no bath facilities so that would prevent a long stay for us. But it is in a prtotected canal and we find it to be very accessible but you do have to following the markers going in. Be careful because you have to line up right as you go through them.

Great restaurant at marina., 2010-09-09

Peg Leg Pete's is a great beach restaurant to stop in for a bite and a drink. The marina has slips behind the restaurant that are available for free if you are there to tie up for a bit and have a meal/drink. Due to limited depth, we have only driven or anchored nearby (Little Sabine) to walk to Peg Leg's considering we have a draft of 5 feet.

Nice, but watch the entrance, 2010-09-03

Great spot to stop for lunch or dinner, you can spend the night for about $1.00/foot free dockage while at Peg Leg Petes Otherwise. Water and power at each slip, so even if you just stop for food you can top off your tanks and charge your batteries a while. Do check the tides, however. In 2009, there was a lip right at the island cut. We draw 4.5' and couldn't get over it.

Small Sailboat Cruising, 2009-05-13

The restaurant, Peg Leg Pete's, and the Lafitte Cove Marina are fantastic! They are owned by the same owner (Pete) who is very friendly as well as his staff at Peg Leg's. Skooter, one of Peg Leg's managers, delivered two free bags of ice to my boat!!. The downside is that this is not a full service marina and it lacks restrooms and showers, however, ask Skooter about the "secret shower". I would rate it a 5 except for the lack of restrooms. The price is right but be aware that the restaurant is very busy over the weekends and noisy until 11 PM. The food is excellent.

Different Pier, 2008-06-23
Captain: , Covington, Louisiana (8)

I think you're talking about the pier at the boardwalk not here, this is a marina a little down the road from the boardwalk.

Nice free dock, 2008-03-16
Captain: , Seabrook, Texas (40)

Long T shaped pier that can accomodate several vessels. No service, but walk up the ramp to the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. Lots of Bars and Resturants. Might be noisy with lots of foot traffic on the dock. Good access to the beach. Great in a south wind, Not too good with a North wind.
