Reviews for L'Auberge Casino Resort
Needs some maintenance attention / Noisy A/C units, 2017-06-22
Captain: , Beaumont, TX (310)

We were planning to stay here but after seeing the condition of the docks and the noise level of the A/C units for the resort right beside the docks we decided to divert to the Golden Nugget Casino next door. It was much nicer in my opinion and we didn't feel like we were put in the corner behind the hotel with the Hotel A/C units blasting all day and night.

Great stop, 2017-05-04

We spent three nights here on the unbeatable weekday rate. With our 6' draft we were only able to use the outermost portion of the longest dock, which meant spooling out 80' or so of power cord to reach the pedestal (there was a closer pedestal but it was 100-A only). We also found the nearest working water spigot at the opposite end of the dock and we used nearly 150' of hose.

All that said, we very much enjoyed our stay. A lovely pool area complete with lazy river, and while the swim-up bar was closed during our stay, there was cocktail service at the Adult pool and hot tub area.

The promotions desk gave us discout spa coupons when we signed up and we each got a massage in the very nice spa. And we enjoyed dining at several of the restaurants on site.

The adjacent Golden Nugget is under the same ownership and a shuttle runs back and forth, or it is a short walk on a riverfront boardwalk. The Nugget has a brace of Landry's-branded restaurants including the eponymous Landry's Seafood, Claim Jumper, Saltgrass Steakhouse, and more.

L'Auberge's guest WiFi requires a room number and the desk does not know how to provide that for marina guests (really?). However we found we could get on the Golden Nugget WiFi with our booster.

In all it was an excellent stay and a great value (mid-week) and we will likely return.

Room for a large boat or two., 2016-08-14

We docked on the long dock with no other boats in the marina. The Casino is steps away from the dock. A bit bouncy as we were exposed to wind and wakes. Not bad though.

Nice dock for a few days., 2016-07-11

Stayed here last week for 3 nights on the long dock. Everything was as described in other AC reviews. The hotel spa was under renovation which meant bathrooms, showers, saunas, were closed. But the hotel made an appropriate adjustment to our dockage cost in consideration.

Great place to spend a day or 2, 2015-12-07

Good docks, power, supplies, food. We spent 2 days here and wanted to stay longer. 11/15

No Dockmaster but still great, 2012-10-25

Floating docks in great condition and usually empty. Easy in and out. One very long dock that once housed a Seaplane. No Dockmaster or help to help with docking. When you dock, you go to the Front Desk in the lobby and check in. Best part is that you get to use the Spa, (which is pretty much located right at the entrance to the building from the docks) for the Showers, Sauna, Restrooms, Relaxation Room, Exercise Room, Steam Room... also Steam in the showers. Tons of places to eat and drink, Casino, places to get food to go, great Buffet. Can't beat the Price for what you get. The only problem I saw is that you are located under the area that has the huge A/C systems that handle the Resort so you have a good amount of noise. No Fuel or marine supplies. A pretty quick trip from the GIWW.

Stopped again and it was just as nice as last time. Snake River Grill was outstanding, but we were told it was closing at the end of the year and re-opening as another steak restaurant. Hope it's as good!

Only Docks, 2009-12-26

Like has been said, only a dock with power and water. Casino was very nice with several choices of restaurants. Fueled at Bowtie marina up the bayou when leaving.

Fun Place to Stop, 2009-08-18
Captain: , Corpus Christi TX (10)

Visited July 2009. Excellent hotel & casino with Vegas class pool, swim-up bar and lazy river. Billed as a hotel/casino marina when in fact it offers nice floating docks with 50 amp power and water, but no real marina facilities (fuel, pump-out, bath houses, laundry etc.) although you can purchase access to the spa for $10 per day per person. Slips are exposed to some wake from passing pleasure and commercial vessels and, unfortunately, they are located on the back side of the hotel and we found the noise from the hotel cooling systems a bit annoying. Dockage was a bit pricey at $2/ft M-th and then jumps to $4/ft Th-Su. One would think maybe the spa/showers would be included at this price. All things considered it is a great facility to visit and I would rate it higher if priced a bit more reasonably . Reservations are recommended by the hotel, although there were plenty of slips available througout our 5 day stay.

Very nice docks at casino. All the amenities you would expect at a casino... restaurants, bars, gambling, etc.
