Reviews for Kwatsi Bay Marina
Superb View, 2017-08-16
Captain: , Langley (30)

Max and Anca are wonderful hosts. There is no public shore access but they do have water. A short dingy ride away is a 5 min hike to a water fall. Beautiful scenery ! Dolphins came into the bay during our stay to put on a show.

This was our second visit to this marina and hoping for a third next season.

Excellent location and owners, 2017-08-07
Captain: , Seattle (505)

Stopped twice in 2017, once in mid May and then in late July. No problem with space in May. They were able to get me in behind the store on the shore side in July while other boaters had to be turned away. Reservations recommended in the high season. Nice potluck and topped off the water tank.

Quiet and beautiful , 2017-07-23

Had a great night here. It was like being in a smaller version of princess Louisa. Took the dinghy to the waterfall hike. Lots of good water. Allowed for rinsing the salt off the boat. Had a nice pot luck. No power. WiFi was pretty good but shut off at 9 pm.

Dock access broken-hope he gets it fixed, 2017-06-18
Captain: , Seattle, Wa (111)

Stopped by in early June 2017 and he said we could not stay because we had a dog and he said his shore access was broken. Not sure how he got to the docks but I hope he gets them fixed so other cruisers can stay. The area looks beautiful!

Great place, 2016-06-21

Beautiful, Max is great and very interesting to talk to.

Social hour and dinner on the dock.

Beautiful falls with a short dingy ride and short walk. Max even lent us an air hour as an anti bear device (not needed).

You can get lessons on living off the grid.

Very enjoyable stop, 2014-09-09

We stayed 2 nights 8-15-2014,and enjoyed potluck one night, Happy Hour the next. Max and Anca very friendly; when I complimented Max on his delicious home-made bread, he gave me a loaf to take on departure. Great little gift shop where I bought earrings made by their daughter. No electrical hook-ups. Small marina that fills up. We dinghied Bond Sound and hiked up the trail to the waterfall which was barely running as it's been such an unusually dry summer.

This is a lovely spot, with gracious hosts (Max and Anca) and stunning scenery. Very protected, though subject to williwaws in the winter. Not much to do ashore except for a short 15 minute hike to the waterfalls. Good fishing, crabbing, and prawning. Nearby Bond Sound is good to explore by dinghy.
Pot luck dinner was very good, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Nice little gift shop.

Very pretty, relaxing spot. Super-friendly hosts and guests. Nice water on the dock.

Kwatsi Bay - we'll be back!, 2011-02-04
Captain: , Delta, BC, Canada (396)

We were lucky to get the last spot on the dock 20 minutes before the communial potluck dinner. Great hosts, great company, we hated to leave. Visit the nice waterfall just across the bay NW from the docks. Make lots of 'bear scaring noises' when walking in the woods.

Spectacular scenery, great folks, fun happy hours and pot lucks, very busy in Summer. e-mail or VHF for reservations.

A relatively small family run marine in a spectacular location. Friendly folks. A small store sells quality clothing and small gift items.
