Reviews for Kittery Point Town Wharf
Don't bother, 2016-09-17
Captain: , Key Largo Florida (61)

Called 3 times. Got answering machine each time. Left message each time. Never heard back. If this is representative of the operation, you can do better elsewhere. Gets one star because I can't post this without that rating. Zero is more appropriate as it equals their response.

Nice quiet spot., 2016-06-28

During a southern blow can get some rollers into the mooring field. Great harbormasters. Not much for things to do but relax.

Nice but rolly mooring field, 2016-06-22

Stayed two nights. 5 trans balls marked with blue. Heavy duty. $30. Very nice restaurant with outside dining and a great view. General store with great fresh baked bread. Anything with a SE COMPONENT will be rolly.

overall a nice little stop, 2014-09-11

Had to make for a port in the strom and this was convient. Got a town mooring for $15. The resturat there was a nice low key place. There is a store right there (was closed so I didn't go in). The Fort is probably worth visiting for sight seeing, but we didn't get to it.

The moorings are a little exposed and rocky. May be better protection across the river at the Portsmouth Yacth Club.

New town docks, 2014-08-06

Paul, Asst Harbormaster, couldn't do enough for you. Went in to get water on their just completed dock (has 50amp service too), and decided to take a mooring. The incoming swells hit your boat broadside driving you against the dock. Fenders a must. However when Paul escorted me to a ball (on the outer row), the rocking was too much and I found another anchorage. However I did come back a day later and used the dock for an overnight stay as I had lost the inverter and needed power. Again Paul to the rescue. Nice little restaurant there and Post Office. Not much else without wheels to get somewhere.

good restaurant and store at the end of the road. If staying with the PYC, they will pick you up and drop you here.
