Reviews for Kennedy Point Marina and Club
Very friendly marina, 2017-05-05
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (960)

We docked in 25 knots. Dockmaster Bruce was excellent, and had some other live a boards help us get in. He knew how to keep our boat safe. The marina is not a secure harbor from the winds, and the boat rocked all day and night, but we were safe. Bath very nice and boaters lounge comfy.
Used Uber to go to New York New York for dinner. Works great/

don't bother, 2015-12-02

dirty filthy boats. only saving grace is viewing manatees. DONT GO TERRIBLE

Great Potential, 2014-12-31
Captain: , Merritt Island, FL (556)

The pool and club house are good, the manager does a great job, and the marina is a safe place. However, much needs to be done to make this marina attractive to transient boaters. The current overall look-and-feel is that of a run-down facility with little reason to stop here given the outstanding marina in Titusville and to the south in Cocoa. There is a definite need for more marina slilp capacity in the area; so I believe, with the right investment, this marina would have a great future.

Continuing to Upgrade, 2014-04-08
Captain: , Titusville (45)

The marina is in a major overhaul. piers and docks re-newed, club house also. Soon the marina will be re-freshed.
Staff are helpful an friendly, rates are good.

Getting Better all the Time, 2013-09-28
Captain: , Rockland, ME (20)

I read the old reviews of this Marina, and decided to give it a shot. It's turned out to be a really great place.
The owners are continuing to upgrade and repair the facilities. Most of the docks have been replaced, The pool is Great. Facilities are clean, and the cruisers lounge has a big flat panel TV. Good Wifi & the channel is easy in & out. Overall, great prices & great people.

This place is slowly being sucked dry of all that once made it one of the best Marinas on the Atlantic ICW. Best thing about now is other boaters. Restaurant & Bar (as of Sept 2013) is closed. Has very nice swimming pool & clubhouse - but it is void of any amentities other then TV. Has coke machine, washer & dryer. Drug store across street. This place is in real serious need of an owner that cares. Manager 'Bruce' is great - but he is their only employee.

Good stop working on being better, 2013-03-07
Captain: , Tracys Landing, Maryland (350)

As other reviewers have stated, this marina has seen better times. Having said that, they are some of the friendliest folks around. The beer is cold, the pool is clean, and the view is excellent for launches. There is also a great mexican/cuban restaurant within a mile.

Working its way up, 2011-11-18
Captain: , Flagler Beach, Florida 32136 (305)

Kennedy Point has been here a long time. I've visited it for 17 years. From the "Hey" days till last time (4/19/2011). Good days and bad days, But always friendly and nice to deal with. It is coming back to standards for a marina. Times are hard now, but Kennedy Point will be a great place to tie up and visit for a long time to come.

Decent place, and improving, 2011-05-19
Captain: , Kemah, TX (10)

We stopped here for a week. Good rates, over $100 less than Titusville Municipal. Pool is clean, staff is super friendly and helpful. 2 of 3 docks are redone, third one is being redone now. New pub is open in the clubhouse. Good place to sit and work during the day (if you need a place to do computer based stuff).

The new ownership/management is really trying hard to improve this place, which was obviously run down during past foreclosure issues. Existing tenants are very friendly and helpful.

This is not a "first class, hoity-toity" yacht basin. Definitely some working fishing boats, and working class boats/residents, but good people here, good rates, nice pool.

Nice and working to improve! Dock with the Manatee, 2010-12-04
Captain: , Jacksonville, Fl (525)

Under new ownership and one dock has been renovated already.
Not well protected from easterly winds but fronts usually approach with a northwest wind gradually clocking to the northeast.
We arrived in a blinding driving rain with 15kt winds from the east; twoworkers and a liveaboard came out to help us dock so I would say the service and hospatilty are very good.
Manatee frequent the basin which leads to a freshwater lake across US1.

Sadly, cannot reccommend., 2010-11-22

We booked into Kennedy Point on the basis of the facilities there : Pool, Sauna, Fitness Room.

Unfortunately this marina is struggling. The previous owner defaulted leaving a mess behind and although the current owner and staff do everything they can, there's no overlooking that this marina has seen better days.

The 'clubhouse' has great potential, but is rather run down. The sauna doesn't appear to work and the fitness room although it has a reasonable selection of machines is rather 'musty'.

The (outdoor) pool is currently open and maintained, but rather cold on the day we went and there was a problem with pigeon droppings on the deck.

The entrance channel is rather thin and appears to have at least one mark missing. I saw 5.5ft at points. I draw 5ft and had 5ft at the dock for two days (virtually no tide here). Turned out not to be the problem I thought as the top 2 ft is soupy mud.

On the upside : the residents are a great bunch of people, one even ran me in his truck to get a hard to find electrical part. Jim the dockmaster is a boater and is pretty good with lines.

The main reason you would want to be here is to see the shuttle launches. Discovery's last launch was delayed, but we had a grandstand view of a Delta IV rocket launch, couldn't get better from that point of view.

Oh, and +1 on the breakwater. If the wind is from the E the breakwater is only about 20% effective, we were really bouncing up and down at the dock.

If you were a power boater with 4ft draft and looking for somewhere to make a deal on a month or two dockage to leave the boat, this would be a good spot.

Cheap Marina.
Nice folks. Includes a pool and a clubhouse.
Only major issue is the breakwater is not effective, so if the wind is out of the east it gets bouncy at the docks.

Kennedy Point Marina, 2008-06-20

If you are looking for a marina with all the bells & whistles this is not the place for you. This is a "funky" marina, if a marina could be called a "joint" this would be a joint! I think the bank currently owns this marina so it is not being kept up very well. However there is power (30 & 50), water, and pump-out at each slip. The rates are cheap ($200 a week including power for a 40' trawler) and there is Walgreens & Winn Dixie close by. They have a nice pool, boaters lounge, washers & dryers, and a place to deposit your used oil. Also a great place to rent a car for cheap is close by! The water is skinny getting in here, I would not bring anything into here with more than 4'6" draft. Greg, who manages the place, is very friendly and willing to do what ever he needs to do to make your stay a good one.

Has seen better days, 2008-02-01
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, FL (79)

Failed condo development. Headed into foreclosure, may be bank-owned by now. Sorely in need of some maintenance.
Skinny water going in-stay in channel. Cheap rates
