Reviews for Kenlake Marina
Even better than last time., 2017-09-21
Captain: , Illinois (2573)

This is a well run resort and marina. And everything Gene says below. We really enjoyed the restaurant. Interesting decorating!

Great Food - Nice Atmosphere, 2017-09-15
Captain: , Pebble Isle, TN (70)

The restaurant food is excellent. They make their own breakfast sausage....a must-try!! Sunrises are "to-die-for". Nice quiet place to stay the night on transient area. We had a covered slip and loved not having to wipe the dew off the next morning.

Nice quiet marina, 2016-09-15
Captain: , Punta Gorda FL (1709)

.90 per foot includes electric. Prices are hard to beat. Give the cook a break. Nice restaurant that makes a great breakfast. Helpful staff.

Well protected from winds, 2016-06-28
Captain: , Paducah KY (183)

Lots of easy dockage. Would rate much higher with added services like laundry, bath houses and courtesy vehchle.

nice clean and friendly marina, 2015-10-23
Captain: , paris, tn (50)

well protected harbor, plenty of transit space. very quiet area on the river.

Nice place to stop and stay at the Lodge, 2015-10-15
Captain: , Owensboro, KY (20)

Stayed over on Monday and Thursday nights this week. Very, very quiet during this time of year. Only 1-2 other transients with each visit. Cindy's is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Folks at the marina are very friendly. Called for a ride from the lodge and had one each time within 5 minutes. (Too far to walk, and we've been warned of coyotes at night.) No buffet at the lodge during these quiet times. Menu is somewhat limited, but our hot browns and burgers were very good. Home fries at breakfast were exceptional! Rooms at the lodge are small but very reasonably priced. Nice break from the boat. Followed the markers in the first time and bumped bottom. Followed a fishing boat the second time and had no trouble. Toilets are in a little building up, up, up the hill. Old but clean. A bathhouse and laundry are needed for more stars. Very much enjoyed our visit.

Good stop good walking, 2015-09-30
Captain: , Ft Myers, Florida (1804)

Diesel Fuel$2.95 if staying at Marina. Cafe at Marina open 8-2. Lodge dining available, walk up or the lodge will send a shuttle. Good floating docks, help with docking, enjoyed cocktails with locals. Beautiful park. Can take courtesy truck to Dollar General. Pool at lodge still open.

A Nice Stop, 2015-09-03
Captain: , Orange TX (130)

Protected, grounds clean, good power, good water pressure, nice floating docks (if available ask for a covered slip) on site restaurant for breakfast & lunch that is reasonably priced, courtesy truck for short errands to Dollar General.
No Laundry or showers, restrooms shared with public boat ramp.
Met & spoke with owner (Barbara) states improvements planned soon.

Nice facility, but not a 4 star, 2014-10-23
Captain: , Charlestown (946)

The staff was courteous and helpful. The docks are great and the lend of their truck to get to the showers at the campground was good indeed. However to be 4 star you should really have nice restrooms close by and at least a shower, laundry and some other ammenities usually found at 4 star.

Another well-run state marina, 2014-10-11
Captain: , Russellville, AR (133)

Not big on boat services but the state lodge nearby has a suprisingly great restaraunt - -and they'll come pick you up for free. Very safe harbor but like other state marinas, not a place if you need boat repairs. Staff helpful and courteous. We really liked it.

Great Marina for shelter, 2014-10-07
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (626)

Great marina for a stop out of the wind and wakes. Rate per foot is excellant. No laundry or showers but great value all the same.

excellent marina, 2014-10-07
Captain: , Gulf Shores Alabama (100)

Well protected, nice docks. Very friendly staff. Food is awesome.

Great Marina, 2014-06-19
Captain: , scottsboro, Al. (141)

Best seawalled marina we have seen, absulotely no wake inside. Best deisel fuel price we have seen in 300 miles from Ditto to Paris Land Marina's, we fueled for $4.199 a gallon. Marina office has nice breakfast /lunch restaurant with great salads, burgers, pizza, etc. Barbara and her crew do a great job assisting your docking and fuel requirements.

Captain: , Guntersville, AL (451)

Well marked approach and well protected harbor. Good fuel and helpful staff. Year round availability

Very Friendly, 2013-12-16
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (165)

We found the staff here to be friendly and helpful. It is a very affordable marina. They don't have showers but we were able to take showers at the State Park Tennis Club. I can't say that's a service the offer everyone, but it was an option for us.

Captain: , Mesa AZ (1609)

Mike (owner) & Scott saved our day. When our winter storage marina forclosed, we had 1 day to move our boat (we live in AZ!). To our rescue, Rick Nance was contacted and within 5 hours our batteries were charged and our almost new cruiser was moved to Kenlake and secured. We are so happy with the marina service. Also, this is a beautiful marina! Even without a laundry, we give a 5 star!

Nice Facility in Protected Habor, 2011-10-28
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (4307)

Quality Docks with face docks for transients. Courtesy truck available for run to Aurora, about 3 miles, where there is a general store, called "General Store," with basic groceries, dairy, lunch meat, small meat market. Good stop.

Kenlake Marina, 2011-08-12
Captain: , Franklin Tn (441)

Protected with much dockage, very nice restraurant, Staff very friendly and helpful, but no showers or laundry. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Nice stop on the Tennessee, 2011-06-07
Captain: , Nashville, TN (40)

We stopped for fuel and spent the night on the transient dock. Very attentive staff, thought we had a cooling problem, they contacted an outside mechnaic to check it out. Didn't use the restaurant or other facilities. Competetive gas price.

Nice Marina, 2010-06-18
Captain: , Rockport, Texas (167)

Nice clean well maintained facility with Floating docks. Rate was 65 cents per foot including electricity. Easy access from river with well marked (although long) channel into protected cove. Courtesy car was old pickup truck. Cable tv hookups on dock at each slip. We had good Verizon Wireless internet reception. Pumpout was provied at the pumpout station for a fee of $5. No Laundry at marina. Restaurant at marina served breakfast and lunch, but was closed for dinner. Dinner was available at the Kenlake State Park Restaurant.

What a great marina, 2009-10-18
Captain: , placida,fl (330)

One of our best stops and for a total $0.65 per ft. Friendly staff. We arrived the day they were having one of their great parties and we were invited and felt very welcome. Long, protected face dock face dock for transients. Golf course and good restaurant in the State Resort Park. Cindy's at the marina serves a great breakfast and lunch. If they had showers they would be a 5 star.

friendly dockmaster, 2009-10-05
Captain: , Key Largo (5457)

Protected marina.

Ken Lake Marina, 2009-06-04
Captain: , St. Louis Mo (328)

Very Good Marina with an excellent staff. Full serivce with laundry. Take a walk up the hill the the State Park Resteraunt on Friday evenings for a great seafood buffet.

Resident Boater Review, 2009-06-02
Captain: , Aurora KY (70)

have kept our 36 Grand Banks Classic here in a covered slip for the past 8 years. This is a very friendly marina and helpful to transient boaters. Directly on the Great Loop it makes a great stop with the new 900 ft transient dock. The nearby State Park Hotel has very nice cabins and low cost rooms with a first class state park dining room. Cindy's on the Barge is the marina restaurant and serves a great southern breakfast and lunch. It is not open for dinner. The marina also lacks laundry and shower facilities which should be expected of a 5 star facility.

KenLake Marina, 2008-02-07
