With the pirate situation to the east, and the current Lebanon and Syria conflict, and Egypt trying to sort itself out, there are fewer people cruising this far east so the number of people wintering over here is dropping.

Reviews for Kemer Turkiz Marina
Good Standard Marina, 2015-07-20
Captain: , Swanwick UK (515)

Very friendly on the way in - docking was easy, the marina staff were helpful but not too insulting (as is often the case in Turkey!!!). For those who long for fast food after months of Turkish restaurants - there is a MCDONALDS at the end of the pier, so for me a big plus point as I've been craving some Western junk food for a while.

The marina itself is clean and efficient, dock space was plenty. We paid 38 euros for a 12m/40ft sail yacht per night - so reasonable compared to some other places we have been.

The entrance was indeed a zoo when we arrived at 16h00 as mentioned by a previous review as there appears to be no town quay for the gullets here so they are all inside the "marina proper".

Lots of shops and restaurants around the marina and seems to be lively.

Spent three nights here in April 2015. Marina has good facilities including fast WiFi and updated showers and laundry. Prices seemed reasonable. There is a nice, but small, cruiser community here.

The town is a tourist place with higher prices than Turkish towns but service was good.

Crowded and Active, 2012-08-23
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (1604)

This marina has in years past hosted a great wintering over community, but now not so much as the reason to cruise this far east for most boaters no longer exists. Great marina, recently changed hands so have no clue if new management will still want people to winter over. Crowded in summer, Expect to be "shoe horned" into your assigned berth. And, AVOID trying to come in between 1500 and 1700 local as all the charter boats are returning at that time and it is a zoo!
