Reviews for Jordan Point Yacht Haven
Convenient Option, 2017-07-19
Captain: , Stuart FL (778)

The staff could be more pleasant and helpful on the phone or in the office. The liveaboard residents are friendly and more than willing to lend a hand. The latter is important because no one on staff came down to help us tie up, There's generally a pretty good current running through here and it might not have been such a smooth landing without the help of one of those liveaboards. The pool surface was littered with bugs, the bottom with sand. Bathouse facilites are limited though clean. Approach is shallow, less than 4' in places inside the breakwater. In short, many reasons to question the $1.75/foot rate. But, there aren't many options and none more convenient when transiting the James River.

Great Mid Day Pit stop, 2016-07-12
Captain: , Richmond (62)

We stopped by with one jetski in tow. Their service group searched and tried to help us get it running even though we were not members and/or paying for service. They were extremely helpful.

We also eat there which is great for a mid day burger stop, their picnic area is nice and the pool looked very inviting.

Friendly and Helpfull Staff!, 2015-09-02
Captain: , Richmond, VA (10)

I took my son out fishing on my old cobia bowrider for the first time in the appomattox. My son not wanting to get out of the water and the boat out of gas we had to stop for gas. This was my first time filling up at a dock instead of a gas station so I was unsure what to expect or even what to do to get gas. The staff here was very understanding and helped me right away and got me back out fishing in no time. Nice marina and nice people. I will most definately return.

Very friendly marina, 2014-09-16
Captain: , Hampton, VA (116)

Very friendly, accommodating staff. Stayed one night and ended up staying the next, too, after a run up the James River to Richmond. Transient boaters get the newer floating docks. Marina store is modest but adequate, and shower facilities are well kept. My slip had just single 30a service, but that was fine. A very nice marina.

Great repairs, 2014-03-29
Captain: , Lanexa VA. (260)

They have a repair facility on site with some of the best paint and glass work in the area. All docks were destroyed in a storm and replaced better then ever. They are not fond of sail boat's

Nice Marina, 2013-03-20
Captain: , Richmond, VA (79)

Friendly staff working the gas docks. Be careful of shallow water once you leave the channel. Store on site has snacks and some general boating supplies. There is also a lunch counter that offers burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches.

Jordan Point, 2010-04-14
Captain: , South River (118)

The staff was very friendly. We used the boat ramp on a Saturday morning (Fee $10). Left our truck and trailer there overnight with no problems. Not a very busy ramp and worth the $10 not to have to wait in line.
Ramp is good. Pier next to ramp doesn't go far out into the water, making loading a little more difficult.
Clean bathrooms and shower, restaurant, small store with snacks.
