Reviews for Joe's Landing
Nice overnight! , 2012-12-07
Captain: , Lake Travis Texas (85)

We did not like the look of anchoring at the LaFitte split so we called ahead. On talking to Joe we discovered he is a nice guy and said we could tie up for the night with fuel purchase. The little bait camp store and bar is really typical of the area flavor. The locals are fun to talk to. Other than the store, fuel and a good spot to tie up, there are no real amenities. We went for a morning jog around the area and its plenty safe. It's approach is shallow so watch your depth gauge. Local fishermen get up early so expect some early morning rocking around. No wake on the way down from the ICW, there are lots of small boats tied up on the banks. Great overnight if staging to cross Mississippi from the east and you don't draw more than about 4'.
