called and it is closed due to shoaling and no plans to reopen

No dockage, 2015-05-20
Captain: , Midway,GA (261)

I was told 5-4-2015 they did no longer have transient dockage due to lack of water depth at low tide

Don't be confused by previous reviews, 2014-12-13

The Jekyll Island Wharf "Marina" is located mid island before you go under the bridge and it doesn't have new concrete docks nor does it have any services mentioned in previous reviews other than the Rah Bar. The Jekyll Harbor Marina located just south of the fixed bridge is most likely where most folks stay here.

Since this marina is basically in the mud flats at low tide, we ended up using it as a free dinghy dock to explore the Historic District/Sea Turtle Center. Captain John was very helpful in giving us advice on how/where to tie up so that our motor wouldn't be stuck in the mud. The Hotel/Club and Turtle Center are all within walking distance and are well worth the time to visit!

One of the best Marinas in Georgia, 2014-01-13
Captain: , St. Marys GA. (10)

We stopped to visit a year ago and were still here.
The facilities and crew make it an excellent place to visit or stay.

Scott the dockmaster is one of the main reasons we stayed, his attitude, attention to detail and the way he makes everybody feel at home gives this Marina a 5 star rating.

Thank You,
Cajun Lady

Great spot to stop for Lunch or Dinner, 2013-08-14

The Wharf is a GREAT Place to come and enjoy the beauty of the Golden Isles, order some Wild Georgia Shrimp at the Rah Bar and relax with live music in the evenings.

Nice new concreetefloating docks, 2012-07-25

good power, weak but usable WiFi, courtesty car, small grocery store, helpful dockmaster, Scot.

Wished we could have stayed!, 2012-06-21
Captain: , Isle of Palms, SC (314)

About 7:30 tonight, trying to find a place to stay and had gone by very slowly, but there was no room for our boat. Going back to Jeckyll Harbor MArina, got a call on VHF that we could stay there and he would make room for us. BUT there was no power on the entire dock. He could not have been nicer and I understand the grill there is really fine. Will definately try and stop there again if our genset is working. Place does not look great, but I would like to patronize such courtesy. Charlie on board Wanderlust.

Docks are not so good, but the stopover is awesome, 2011-01-29
Captain: , St. Simons Ilsland, GA (547)

There is limited space on the outside of the dock because a local company leases the dock and operates a dolphin tour with two large pontoon boats. They do allow docking for a small charge. Do not attempt to dock on the inside unless it's during high tide.

If possible call ahead at 912-635-3152 for instructions or visit the following web site.

Once docked there is an excellent raw bar and restaurant as well as access to the old Jekyll Island Historical District. This stop is an absolute "must" if you've never been here before. For overnight docking I suggest the nearby Jekyll Harbor Marina.

We loved it!, 2008-04-20
Captain: , Old Saybrook, CT (1021)

This was a bit seedy when we stayed there a few years ago and a telephone call this year (2008) revealed that there is only 2' of water at the dock and no water or electricity. The Sunday brunch at the Hotel is marvelous. The bar at the end of the dock did a superb low country boil. The horse-drawn tour through the historic section was a step back to a different time. Everyone at the dock was either a sailboat or a traditional powerboat. The loss of historic facilities like this is more devastating to the human soul than global warming!

Great Location - rickety marina, 2007-02-27
Captain: , Key Biscayne FL (3103)

This is not much of a service marina. The best part is easy walking to the historic property. Currents are strong and at LW depth is around 5'. We sit on the bottom at LW in thick mud.
