Reviews for Isle of Palms Marina
nice stop for a day, 2016-11-15
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, Fl (320)

SAFERETURNS 65ft Fairline Squadron Lighthouse Point Fl
Mike the dock master is a nice young man. The 2 young men tied us up faster on the t-dock faster than any other . Nice resurant. Nice dock store. Nice alternative to Charleston mega marinas .

2016 Nov 14, 2016-11-14
Captain: , Colonial Beach, VA (640)

Updated: Anothere nice stop. Internet acccess thru wifi not working for me ... may be me ... otherwise great facilities and friendly professional staff.

Enjoyed our one night stay. $2.00/ ft a little pricy but they have well stocked general store, restaurant and deli on sight, and serve good breakfast in genral store. Dock staff first rate and facilities clean and neat.

Great Stop, 2016-11-06
Captain: , Virginia Beach (230)

Update November 2016:

Stayed on fuel dock. Great service from dock hands. Two of our three requirements still good...nice, clean bathrooms and great beach. Had good connection to wifi, but not to Internet.

Very nice and clean bathrooms, great wifi, and a beach within walking distance. Those are the three things we look for.

Pleased as Punch!, 2016-11-02
Captain: , Marco Is., FL (80)

Right off the ICW. They put us on the fuel dock. Per foot charge $1.50, $5.00 pump out, 30amp $7.00. Floating wooden docks. Friendly staff was there to assist with lines. Bathrooms are very clean. Showers well thought out with private area to change and lots of hooks for your clothes which is frequently not the case. Nice laundry facility 1.50 for wash and 1.00 for the dryer. They have a great variety store right at the marina with all the food and drink of a convenience store but no fresh veggies. They have a small boat section as well as a clothing section. The snack bar serves breakfast and lunch - we had a great breakfast wrap! There is a restaurant here called Morgan Creek Grill. The food was fantastic!! Short ribs and she crab soup rock! There is a Harris Teeter supermarket 2.2 miles away which we were able to ride our bikes to on quiet streets. The marina does not have bikes to loan. All in all we really enjoyed our visit here and would stop again!

Another good stop, 2016-06-15
Captain: , Michigan City, IN, USA (210)

This was our second time stopping at Isle of Palms Marina. The dock hands know what they are doing (actually they are very good), the diesel was reasonable, transient dockage is reasonable, the workers are friendly,a nice clean marina. Last fall we ate at the Morgan Creek restaurant and it was fabulous. There is boat traffic but overall a very comfortable stay. This time we were on the fuel dock and that is an idle zone, last time we were on the end for three days waiting out severe weather and that was not bad. The marina internet is slow, best to connect to the Morgan Creek Restaurant's free wifi, we use an IslandTime antenna/booster. Nice marina store with excellent diner style breakfast, not much fresh produce or meat.
Upon approaching from Atlantic the staff strongly advised NOT to come in through Dewees Inlet, reporting a sailboat has never made it through. Thank you for that, after ten years we never had a hard grounding and didn't want one today. We entered through Charleston Harbor - lovely views of Fort Sumpter and beautiful waterfront homes.

Marinas have personalities, no exception here, 2016-06-01
Captain: , Pinnacle, NC, USA (1340)

Said "personality" is driven by where their bread is buttered. My guess here would be its boat ramp/fuel sales, followed by long term slip rentals and finnaly by AICW transients. This results in a diverse, healthy mix of commercial as well as leisure boaters.
Ours was an impromptu weather motivated stop, modified into a decision to trailer home a week later. The months' slip rental fee of $445 was refunded to the tune of $175. Use of the ramp was $30 and a pump-out was free.

Back as transient lying alongside slip 30 which left us to the mercy of many inconsiderate wake-makers -- not bad enough to move further inshore though. Loved our meal at Morgans.

Great place, 2016-04-28
Captain: , Bedford, NH (675)

We stayed one night 4/27/16. Right on the ICW. Stopped at fuel dock first. Dock hands great help with lines. Moved to slip after that and dock hand was there to help. General store has so many things. We were looking for more grocery type things (produce and deli meats) and that is about 2 miles away. Too far to walk. Restaurant on site was great. Lots of activity as tour boats go out from here as well as boat rentals and paddle board rentals. Beach is a 1/2 mile walk. I love the activity. Very quiet at night. docks in great shape. Finger pier on both sides so easy to wash down the hull on both sides. Didn't use the facilities so no comment there. Would definitely stay again.

Hot weekend spot, 2016-04-18
Captain: , Britt, Ontario (691)

Stayed on a Friday night and the restaurant next door was a happening spot! The marina has good docks, clean washrooms and a great convenience store on site. Easy access from ICW.

Marina convenient - price needs fixing on Active Captain, 2016-04-09
Captain: , Colchester VT (380)

Active Captain shows the dockage at $1.50 per foot - that is true only October - March. From April to September their rate is $2.00. This info was listed on their web site but not here in Active Capatain. When I pointed that out to them they said sorry - we need to fix it but made no other concession. Otherwise this is a pretty nice marina. The store is great - showers and bathroom clean and relatively modern. We came in for fuel and 3 guys assisted the docking - that was nice. They kept us on the fuel dock for the night so we didn't have to move. Easy in / easy out.

Great location, needs attitude adjustment, 2016-03-13
Captain: , Oriental, NC (40)

We have stayed here a dozen times in three different boats, now with our small power trawler. The last couple of times, the dock staff attitude has been lackluster. This time, I called from 30 miles away to ask about hours of operation. The person said open until 1800 hours. I said I would be here by 1750 hours. I arrived at 1745, got no answer on Channel 16, the phone went to message and on the second try somebody answered. The person to whom I had spoken had left for the day without telling the remaining dockhand about my reservation and arrival. I got tied up to the fuel dock and all was sort of OK, but the check-in procedure was a little odd because the credit card machine had been closed for the day. This is all too bad because ten years ago this was a go-to place. It still is for the excellent restaurant and the general store on-site, and the location is indeed superb if you are headed offshore or coming from offshore. This could be a perfect marina!

Good Provisioning Stop, 2015-12-18
Captain: , Philadelphia, Pa. (165)

The marina was adequate, but the bathrooms were very good. There is a convenience store right at the marina and it has just about everything you might need. Or if you want more there is a grocery store less than a mile walk to the marina. My wife and daughter-in-law walked to the store and a very nice woman that lived locally offered to bring them back to the marina! We will stopthere again.

Convenient but poor service this time, 2015-11-13
Captain: , Baltimore, MD (1100)

Stopped for fuel and a pump out. It's a easy in and out place to do so. Normally good service from the dockhands but this time no response on the VHF or obvious signs of a dockhand so called via cell phone. Within moments the dockhand "John" saunters out of the dock house telling me he's "got me". He went on to be slow and not very helpful. Again not the usual service so assume he either was having a bad day or is just that way.

Easy in, easy out, 2015-10-24
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (6484)

Convenient stop between Charleston & Georgetown. Docks adequate, extra large cleats (at least on fuel dock) Took a couple of tries to reach with Vhf, only one staff working at the time.

Could not get wifi to connect to internet, staff said they were aware of problems. Clean & roomy showers & restrooms. Good power and water. Good restaurant nearby and well stocked convenience store on site. Short walk to Atlantic Ocean beach.

Great Staging Location (north or South), 2015-05-21
Captain: , Grand Island, NE (240)

Great staging location if heading North (or South). High tide thru Ben Sawyer to Isle of Palms - then prep for riding flood thru McClleanville.

Or - pull into IOP and prep for South at High tide.

Excellent Ships Store and choices for on premise dining - informal and / or / 'more' formal.

Easy In & Out

High Tide both directions IMPORTANT

Nice little marina, but where's the staff?, 2015-05-02
Captain: , Amelia Island (140)

We liked Isle of Palms Marina, with its large, well-stocked store, great bathrooms/showers, and good docks, and the pretty beach a short walk away. But -- We were unable to raise the marina on VHF 16 or 71 (which they say is their working channel) in about 4 attempts, and another boat had the same experience. Our chartplotter actually shows the marina in the wrong location, about a mile further north/east of the correct location, so we cruised right past them (they don't have a sign). We did manage to get them on the phone and told them we were a mile away, but when we were in front of the marina about 10 minutes later we were unable to get them by radio or phone, and a customer hanging out at the fuel dock said he did not know where the dock staff were. Not cool. On that day's 15 kt west wind, the slips were tricky to get into, and it might have gotten quite interesting if somebody had not seen us maneuvering in front of the fuel dock and come running down to assist.

Right off ICW so easy access, 2015-04-08
Captain: , Chicago, Racine, Fish Creek,Wi (2010)

Store & resturants on site make it a good stop. Washrooms are clean and floating docks are in good condition. Good help when docking was appreciated. I do feel it is a bit overpriced at $2 a foot which was what it was raised to on April 1 2015. I feel it was fairly priced before that date at $1.50'

Nice stop on the ICW, 2015-03-06
Captain: , Hampton, VA (271)

Good protection, some wakes during the day but it's part of the show. The people watching here is the best. Clean marina, restrooms and showers. Good general store on the grounds.

Just off the ICW and close to the beach, 2015-02-16
Captain: , Iuka, MS (1120)

Good transient rate. No current. Excellent protection. Easy walk to the Atlantic beach.

clean and reasonable, 2015-01-15
Captain: , Clayton, NY (645)

Nice marina, clean bathrooms, nice convenience store, short walk to public access to the beach. Less pricey than Charleston marinas.

Nice Surprise..., 2014-12-31
Captain: , Iotta Louisiana (394)

Being on Isle of Palms, but good buy for $1.50/ft . Single night on the end of the fuel dock. Showers and Laundry clean and well maintained. Dockmaster helpful and inormed.
Clean cloths a shower for the new year. Good stop to wait for tide at Breach Inlet.

Love this place, 2014-11-12
Captain: , Las Vegas (282)

Have stayed here many times as we have family and friends nearby. It is out in the middle of nowhere so you will need transportation but Morgan Creek Grill is wonderful as is the sandwich counter in the ship's store. Dock hands are knowledgeable and very helpful. Ship store well stocked. Rest rooms and showers are always clean and nice. Wifi has been improved since our last visit and is now strong and fast. Beautiful beach about 1/2 mile walk. Added 11/12/14: Marina would do well to develop a data base of users as we stay here 3-4 weeks a year and are treated like a one night transient. This time they put us on the restaurant dock with no cable and the worst wakes. We asked to move and it was ok'd but before we could untie they placed other one niters in the position we were told to go to. No communication between the dock hands. We love the place but they would do well to remember us.

Super Convenient @ Fair Price, 2014-11-12
Captain: , Stuart FL (508)

Chase, the dockmaster, answered promptly our late afternoon phone call. Although the marina was "sold out" for the night, he offered to make room on the fuel dock for our 27' sailboat. He and Gates, his assistant, could not have been more friendly or helpful. Easy in, easy out. Wakes of passing boats no problem. The restrooms / showers are clean and well-maintained. Your $1.50/ft buys you much more here than some stops in NC.

Convenient but that's about it, 2014-10-06
Captain: , Cape Cod, MA (179)

Stopped here before leaving the boat in Charleston. No answer on either 16 or 71, so called. Dock guy mute and worked one handed with cigarette in other. The Morgan Grille looks like a nice restaurant but is closed on Mondays after Oct 1. Marina Market has a deli for sandwiches etc. and the store has small grocery items. Folks friendly enough, I guess, but nothing exceptional. Was told there's not much transient space anymore because of all the permanent dock residents. Docks themselves pretty creaky. Very nice shower facility.

Great spot, 2014-09-25
Captain: , Tonawanda,NY (261)

Stopped in to wait for high tide only to find transmission problems when leaving. We stayed a month waiting for parts from Japan. Great staff, took good care of us. Handy little store and great rest.

Nice stop before Charleston, 2014-07-14
Captain: , Bethlehem, PA (706)

If you need to time G117A for higher tide, this is a nice marina to stop at overnight. The store is well-stocked. The laundry facilities weren't working when we were there. Easy on and easy off fuel and pump out facility.

Did we bother you?, 2014-06-19
Captain: , Nashville, TN (184)

One dock guy (3 others stayed in the cool of the dock house) came out and got our bow line. I told him we needed fuel, he pulled out the hose onto the dock and left. Only thing he said was to confere I needed gas not diesel. About half way through fueling one of the guys came out of the dock house and was pleasant. I got the feeling he was doing it because he at least knew things were not as they should for a customer. While inside taking care of dockage and fuel I over heard another customer get the same bla treatment. In light of all this I didn't care to leave the boat the rest of the evening but report from my crew guy was the place was nice, clean and well stocked in the store.

Soooo if you need what you need go there but don't expect anything else.

On the ICW, 2014-06-01
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (880)

Nice marina on the ICW. We had good dockage and very close to the showers/bath/laundry. Secure docks. Good ships store. Good restaurant on site. Is not close to any Charleston venue-would need to rent a car or taxi.

Very Considerate, 2014-05-29
Captain: , Westport CT (250)

Came here on Memorial Day weekend to attend a wedding at the Wild Dunes Resort just a short distance away. On the day we planned to depart our davit failed and we could not lift our 700# tender back aboard. We had to stay over a week as it was a holiday weekend and repair services were not available.

The good folks here worked around us juggling incoming guests so that we would not have to move off of our prime spot on their face dock.

In summary, a nice marina with kind and considerate staff. And, as an added bonus, the Morgan Creek Restaurant is quite good and prices are fair.

Lots of Traffic, 2014-04-09
Captain: , Deltaville, VA (602)

Isle of Palms Marina gets 4 stars. It has all of the standard amenities. Helpful staff, wide floating docks, water, electricity, pumpout, cable TV, WIFI, bar/restaurant with live music on site.
Only downside is the traffic from fishing boats, cruisers, and ferry boats that go by the transient face dock on a continuous basis. Not all of them no what no wake means. Not really too big a deal, just put out an extra fender.

A favorite, 2014-03-31
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (370)

Always enjoy stoppng here - folks are nice, beautiful setting, great bike riding in the area, etc. Morgan Creek Grill is also fun for dinner & drinks, and the on-site market is well-stocked.

Great Fuel Stop, 2013-11-09
Captain: , Annapolis MD (310)

We stopped here on the way to the Charleston Inlet. A pleasant surprise since we had been told they couldnt accomodate our 7.5 draft. Plenty of water, 11' or better at MLW. Great store, friendly capable fuel dock. At this date, their dock fees were .50 less than most closer spots. No info on transportation to town, but a stop we will add to our list.

Good overnite stopover, 2013-11-07
Captain: , Pasadena,Maryland (510)

Stayed at docks by resturant. Condition ok. bathrooms, laundry were good. Stopped so as to time access into Charleston Harbor. Currents and title swing are significant. Shoaling in area of Ben Sawyer bridge.

6/18/13. Nice Stop Over, 2013-07-06
Captain: , Wilmington, NC (618)

Friendly dock staff. Price of diesel was one of the lowest we experienced over the 2 week cruise. Winds can wipe up in this little inlet so pay attention as you maneuver

Nice Marina, 2013-04-24
Captain: , Winter Garden, Fl (2173)

We stopped here for a week to let the weather warm a little and visit with family from Columbia...nice, comfortable marina. Easy in & out of the ICW, normal SC tides & currents, but the inlet off of the ICW knocks down the rush. Great general store, a little pricey, but convenient. Great restaurant on site - we had both lunch & dinner - good food for fairly reasonable prices (for the Charleston area!)

A Few Things Missing, 2013-04-22
Captain: , Hollywood, MD (271)

Arrived in the middle of gale force winds. We were told we would be at a face dock with a starboard tie. As we made the turn into the marina we were told they were putting us into a slip with a port tie. After some scrambling we made the landing only to find out that there was no cable TV available and the internet didn't work. The internet came back on line later that night. This is a very nice facility - rest rooms, ship store, laundry, but could use some tweaking on the management side to make it a five star marina. Not sure they get alot of transients. Dock hands did a great job to get us into the slip in some really bad weather conditions.

Quiet and easy to access, 2013-04-10
Captain: , Bear, DE (230)

Nice stop north of Charleston. The marina is small and quiet. We docked right next to the boat ramp, which always makes for interesting people- and boat-watching. We were there one night midweek, and all sounds from the restaurant, docks and boat ramp ended by around 9pm.

The marina is right off the ICW, and is very easy to pull into with little current. The face dock is behind a locked gate with a security code, although it didn't seem like the type of area that needed that level of security. Very short walk to restaurant, deli and mini-mart store.

Neat Marina at Great Location, 2012-12-29
Captain: , Howe Island, SLS, Ontario, Canada (385)

Nice marina, well stocked general store, beautifully location that might seem a bit remote but ... Lowcountry Loop Trolley provides a hop-on/hop-off service on Isle of Palms, Mt Pleasant, and downtown Charleston from the marina. Nice staff and very accommodating ... will stop for you at, or will pick up the ordered items for you from West Marine which is on their way. Call 843-654-5199 or check lowcountrylooptrolley.com for schedule and pickup times.

Comfortable!!!, 2012-11-28
Captain: , Hamilton, Ontario, Canada (366)

Stayed one night to take the shuttle into Charleston. Starts running from here about 11:am, Taxi's 50 dollars each way. Ended up continuing into town. Well kept grounds. Store and deli on site.

Great Marina, 2012-11-15
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (250)

We enjoyed our night at the Isle of Palms Marina. Beautiful location, great marina store, nice short walk to the beach. Really enjoyed ourselves.

Good spot, well sheltered, and excellent restrooms, showers, and laundry, 2012-11-09
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (2982)

Good spot, well sheltered, and excellent restrooms, showers, and laundry

Comfortable stop, 2012-11-09
Captain: , little river (269)

We were there on 10-16-12. Friendly staff very helpful. Nice, clean, well maintained bathrooms, for marina guests only. Nice ships store. Well maintained docks. Would stop here again.

No WIFI,Avoid the Boat Ramp, 2012-11-06
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (884)

We stopped on a busy Sunday night and were put on the face dock, close to the ICW channel. We were right next to the marina's boat ramp, situated about in the middle of the slips. The ramp seems to be very busy on weekend evenings, with small boats hauling out until well after dark. A large crowd of observers lined the railings above, enjoying a party atmosphere. Music from the outdoor bar of the on-site restaurant (till around 8:00PM) completed the picture. Not the most restfulof circumstances.
On the plus side, very nice restrooms/showers, a helpful dock attendant, doing the best he could all alone. The WIFI was still not working, as noted back in October by an earlier reviewer. We wouldn't say this is a bad stop, but reccomend staying away from the ramp if you have a choice.

Isle Of Palms Marina, 2012-11-04
Captain: , London (342)

Easy access from the ICW. Helpful staff. Small grocery store, fuel. Restaurant food quality is very average but well priced(!) at both restaurants (same kitchen?). Safe community. Good for walks around the local area only half mile to beautiful long open Atlantic beach. Good for pets.

Nice stop before Charleston, 2012-11-01
Captain: , Rock Hall, Md (230)

The bridge before Charleston closes 4-6pm so we decided to stay here for the night. Dock hand very helpful. Short walk to the beach. Grocer on premise. Excellent bar/restaurant next door. Clean showers and laundry.

We'll Be Back, 2012-10-13
Captain: , Annapolis (424)

The big surprise was that the price has dropped to $1.50/ft. That makes it a good spot. As previously noted the head/shower facilities were nice (several separate shower and changing rooms in each sex's area). We ate at the topside grille next door and had a good hamburger and fish tacos. The WiFi was unusable. Dockmaster said they were working on it. Easy in and out of the wide slips - a little current but not bad.

A bit over priced, 2012-09-29
Captain: , Salt Ponds, Va (539)

At $2.00/ft this marina is a bit over priced, but a good stay none the less.

Pretty decent, was hoping for more, 2012-09-06
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (2709)

The previous reviews have good observations. We can't complain about the staff. The store was great and the restaurant was good.
The baths/shower/laundry were better than average, by far.

We were hoping for more considering the price, but there are not many choices for the transient boater in this area.

Excellent Ship Store, 2012-01-26
Captain: , Wrightsville, NC (270)

The Isle of Palms Marina ship store has all the necessities and almost anything else you can think of. I suggest the sausage biscuit for breakfast, it is like no other sausage I have ever had. The local restaurants were also great. Why do I keep rating marinas based on there food?

Full service and walking distance to the beach, 2012-01-23
Captain: , Southport, NC (916)

Wild Dunes for golf, the best Marina Ship Store I've been to with great homemade breakfast, flatscreen TV and lounge area, etc. For dockage if the wind is out of the northeast you will get a lot of water lapping against the hull so if you are a light sleeper just keep that in mind.

November 2011, 2011-12-04
Captain: , Beach Haven NJ (60)

One night stay. I got fuel, and tied up in U shaped dock with NW blow with no problem. The convenience store was well stocked. Restaurant had good food and right on location. Baths and showers clean. I prefer this to Charleston City Marina only due to the convenience of everything on site for a one night stay.

Good place to stop, 2011-11-18
Captain: , City Island New York (600)

Just spent one night here to break the long trip to Charleston. Friendly, helpful dock hands, clean showers and laundry. There is a restaurant right there although we did not eat there it looked OK. The docks are right off the ICW so there was a bit of rolling until the traffic died down for the night.

Nice stop just north of Charleston, 2011-11-18
Captain: , Cleveland (2083)

Stayed one night at the face dock. There was no wind and wake/current was not a problem at all. Restrooms were very nice and very clean. Large convenience store. Restaurant on premise but we didn't try it. Instead had breakfast wrap at the counter inside the store. Very good!

Great Connivence Store, 2011-11-14
Captain: , Reedville, VA (688)

Just made a quick stop for the basic "bread and milk". This has to be the best stocked Marina convenience store ever. All along the waterway it is hard to get the basics, let alone what this store has to offer. It even has a grill for hot sandwiches to go. The marina looks to be an excellent stoping place also.

Not for me., 2011-10-22

The dockmaster placed us in a U-shaped docking area close to the ICW with 15+ kts of wind from the West. Very difficult to dock up wind with no bow thruster and other docked boats 50 feet downwind of you. I would not go there again.

Friendly, helpful staff. Good fuel prices. View of the ICW from the restaurant is awesome. Great nachos. Spent the night on the dock near the restaurant.

Transient Friendly, 2011-04-22
Captain: , Mullica Hill, NJ (688)

The books show a $2.00 / ftr. rate. They have reduced it to $1.50 for the moving season. Very nice floating docks and friendly staff. Store has a mix of food and marine items and clothing.
It is weorth a stop a short way north of Charleston.

Nice stop outside of Charleston, 2011-04-21
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1915)

We've stayed here twice. Easy walk to the beach. Very quiet at night. Bright street lights facing the docks are a drawback; we put shades in our stateroom windows. They told me they had a laundry facility now but I did not check it out. If you are visiting friends at Wild Dunes or on Isle of Palms you can't beat the location.

Nice stopping point with a very shot walk to the beach..., 2011-04-18
Captain: , North Carolina (344)

Good protected area with friendly staff. Clean restrooms and showers.

Very active marina and area. We liked it here.

We didn't eat at the restaurant but it must be good because we have watched a steady line of folks eating there all evening.

Too many Birds, 2011-01-04
Captain: , Kilmarnock, VA (290)

We spent some time here and enjoyed the localtion. Found it to be delightful stop with friendly people. However the birds that roost nearby are something to behold. They would sit up on the hard top and boat deck and make a mess of things. If you did not keep at it everyday you it really piled up (pun intended). We were away for a few days and came back to hours of work. A good place with some draw backs.

Nice protected spot near nothing but a good store and restaraunt, 2010-10-30

very limited transient dockage but a nice facility if visiting locals or staging to go south outside.

Convienient Stop, 2010-10-15

Good place to eat, and nice facilities. Too pricy at $2 plus electric, but it is a resort area.

Nice stop for transients, 2010-08-11
Captain: , Warsaw, Ky (875)

Transient rates are what is to be expected for the Charleston area. Helpful staff. Nice ships store. Well stocked with food and drinks but pricey.

Stayed here during the week, Tuesday & Wednesday, and the wakes from the ICW were not bad. A fair amount of traffic in and out of the marina, shares an inlet with the Wild Dunes resort. Inlet can be busy at times.

Suggest trying to come in at slack tide if possible.

Excellent alternative to Charleston, 2010-05-16
Captain: , Palm Coast (792)

If you want to travel an hour beyond Charleston or just stop early this is an excellent option. The facilities are top notch and very clean. The general store is just short of a supermarket. The restaurant at the marina has got to be the best place in town to eat and rivals many places in Charleston. The dock staff are very helpful and friendly.

Easy Access, 2010-04-12
Captain: , Block Island (1679)

This marina is directly off the ICW, and the fuel dock is very easy access. Huge, well stocked ships/general/liquor store on premises. Very safe area will plenty of parking. Floating docks are in very good condition. Clean, modern restrooms. Mt Pleasant has everything you need, but none of it is within walking distance of this marina. Great dock staff. Some transient slips are under the restaurant balcony which might be noisy on a weekend night. Entire marina can get some wakes from ICW, especially on weekends, but not too bad. Transient rates seem very competitive with others in Charleston area. Ask about weekly or monthly rates.

Captain: , Belhaven, NC (363)

Great spot for southbounders to stage for Wapoo/Elliots Cut and avoid the congestion of the harbor. Professional dockhands and very good showers and a excellent ships store. A bit pricey.

decent marina for trancients, 2008-05-13
Captain: , Carolina Beach, NC (378)

Limited space. Good showers/bathrooms. Dockhands helpful. Best to call on cell phone for dockage/reservations.

6/2007 visit, 2007-07-30
Captain: , Scituate, MA (5)

Couldn'd find anyone to talk to so stayed for lunch at restaurant. ICD traffic passes right by the marina, Tugs with long tows were scary. Lots of wakes.
