Reviews for Islander Marina and Lodge
Nice Place, 2015-07-30
Captain: , Oneida, NY (264)

I stayed at the long cement pier that runs parallel to the town dock. dockage is two bucks a foot. All of the docks, power and water stands, heads, showers laundry facilities and lounge were all in very good shape. the location is convenient to downtown. The staff, regular boaters and transients were all very pleasant. The mechanics on hand were able to diagnose and replace a faulty fuel pump for me in a day. They were busy, but still squeezed me in and got me on my way. I'll come back here.

In case you didn't see the other reviews -- DO NOT MISS THE MUSEUM!, 2015-06-28
Captain: , Essex, CT (1675)

What a terrific little town and a boat museum the likes of which we've never seen. I spent 4 hours in the museum and could have spent more. Magnificent boats of all sizes that have been meticulously maintained. And the town itself is charming. Nice stores, restaurants and easy access to groceries and hardware. We could not have been more pleased. And the marina is terrific with beautiful restrooms, laundry and lounge area. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is the price of $2 per foot is a bit steep. But in the end -- we had a wonderful 2 nights here and loved the stop.

No fuel available, 2015-06-17
Captain: , Houston, Texas (970)

The fuel dock temporarily closed in 2010 is still closed in 2015. They no longer have a fuel dock. The Fuel category needs to be updated to NONE.

A Great Place to Stay, 2013-08-01
Captain: , Prescott, Ontario (141)

We have stayed at many a marina but this one is at the top of our list from the covered slips to the impeccable washrooms the experience has always been great.

From reading other reviews I have learned two things:
%u2022 There is a shuttle service to the grocery store
%u2022 It is now owned by French Creek Marina which is one of the largest Volvo Penta parts dealers in N.A.

FANTASTIC PLACE, 2011-08-03
Captain: , kingston (10)

My wife and I have been going to this place since it opened, we find it the nicest marina we have ever been at. The only down side is since we found it my wife will only go there. Just stayed there with the new owners Jennefier was great and very friendly. The islander is always the best part of boating in the summer and the peolple of Clayton are always nice to visitors I am sure we will be going there for many years to come.

Nice People, 2011-06-14
Captain: , Kingston, ON (455)

In 2011 Islander Marina was purchased by French Bay Marina. Jennifer, the manager of French Bay Marina is absolutely awesome. They are constantly working at upgrading the marina facilities. The restrooms are among the cleanest that I've seen anywhere.
The town has numerous restaurants, the Antique Boat Museum, and a great coffee shop.
The local Big M grocery store offers a shuttle service to and from the marina.
Some boating supplies are available at French Creek Marina which is nearby.

Not Sure About Marina, 2011-06-13
Captain: , Annapolis (208)

Called today to make reservations. The number 315-686-1100 is out of service. Apparantly, Islander Marina went into foreclosure in Dec 2010 and was purchased by French Creek, who is now operating the marina. When I mentioned we needed 50 amp power, they indicated they did not have 50 amp, despite what every reference indicates. Will update when we get there.

Nice new docks. Friendly staff, 2008-07-19
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

We're on the brand new cement docks that were just installed about a month ago. Very nice. The staff has been great and how can you beat $1/ft with power when the town docks, which are right next door, are $1/ft with no power and $1.25/ft with power? Very clean bathrooms.

Great place, 2007-10-21
Captain: , Morristown NY (17)

Getting pretty full but transient slips available, walking distance to Boat Museum and restaurants. Easy to get a ride to the good supermarket.

Beautiful lodge, showers etc.

Very friendly staff.
