The docks have recently been repaired and spruced up. The staff is great. The place is clean well kept and quiet. Very well protected and a great place to stay long term.

Good hurricane hole, but no breeze and super hot. nice, 2 stall bathhouse with privacy but other customers locked door while using ladies room, so nobody else could use it. Nice clubhouse and deck that is advertised but slip renters are not allowed to use. huge ice machine for $1 but the dockmaster locks it up after 5. say they are pet friendly then complain that you have dogs. employees rude and made us feel unwanted. we would never stay here again. we would go to the municipal instead.

I've stayed here overnight several times, and liked i so much that now my boat is now here full time. The staff is amongst the best I have seen in all my travels. The facilities, while a bit dated, are nonetheless very good. Very well protected, great staff, very good facilities. Very good WiFi, Cable TV, Clean Bath Areas, Fantastic Common room. Approach is a bit tricky, but the is clearly marked. Depth at docks greater than 5ft, approach 5ft minimum (low tide)

We left our boat there for a month and half in May and June. Our stay was brief, as we came in from Clearwater, secured a slip, stayed for one night and flew home to Texas and work. Then came back for one night in late June and sailed for home the next day. The facilities are not fancy, but solid, The staff is great, the location pure Gulf Coast. In our brief stay, we met quite a few of our neighbors, all very friendly, one of whom insisted we use his truck to run errands with. We will be back.

Awesome Staff, 2013-06-22

The staff here is great. They were very accomodating to me and gave me a reduced rate for a month long stay and prorated that reduced rate for another 5 days longer. They were sailors and had great advice for anchorages and destinations in the area. They also had no problem when I would call them almost every week asking them to lcheck something I forgot. The folks I met here, Eric and Rich, were fantastic and I can't say enough good things to describe them

Bath and showers were very clean. Fixed docks had short finger piers, but were manageable. The slips, at least the one I was in, was a little narrow for my 11' beam. They have several dock carts with short walk to parking and trash dumpster. There isn't a pumpout statiobn, however they do have a boat that goes around and will pumpout your tank for you. You just have to let them know you want it done.

Depth wasn't a problem at any tide, and I draw 5'3", but it was very close, especially in the long narrow channel approach. The channel is marked, but not as well as it should be for as narrow as it is. That said, I never got stuck, but it could be nerve racking in the dark. I was on the west side of the longest pier and had some difficulty getting into my slip with a very strong NW wind that was funnelled down the bayou. The boat was new to me though and with a little more experience, it wouldn't be as much trouble.

We are a deep draft sailboat and when a northern wind blew for a couple of days we were stuck on the bottom. We had to wait for the change in winds to get out. Then we still had issues even with a high tide. The restrooms were clean and the marina has 1 washer & dryer free of charge. Grocery shopping was a bus ride, big West Marine within walking distance.

Well protected marina., 2013-01-09

This is a nice marina tucked away in Bayou Chico. This marina has restrooms, laundry, and a ship store. The parking lot is also gated after hours, so unauthorized visitors can't drive in. This marina is worth checking out.

Piers in poor condition, Common area very nice..., 2010-10-12

Shoaling problems if you draw more than 4.5', docks a little rough, but OK...good security, common area with nice showers, free ice, and covered rec areas.

A friend of mine who lives in Pensacola told me this was the best marina in town. It is basically right across from the Pensacola Marine Complex, which has a great launch ramp. In addition to the gated parking lot and other amenities, the top floor of the building is a large lounge with pool table and big screen TV, which people staying at the marina can use. There is no pump out or fuel dock. The marina is about 1/4 mile south of where the Navionics charts have it located.
