Reviews for Islamorada Yacht Basin at the Lorelei
Nice small basin, 2015-11-15
Captain: , currently Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4407)

Update 11/2015: The basin is undergoing a renovation with new pilings resulting is a few more spaces. New restroom facilities are being buit. Probably won't change my overall impression, but an improvement.

There is no or very limited dock space for transients. Permanent resident or commerical vessels occpied all dockage when I was there over the last 2 years. However, if you could get in there it is well protected and attractive. Lorelei Restaurant offers very casual outdoor dining 7 days per week, breakfast through dinner with live music every night. Dinghy dock on the West side, not in the basin. No fuel or services.

not transient friendly , 2015-04-06
Captain: , Sheldrake, NY (20)

They don't answer the radio or phone. Accepted our reservation but then lost it when we arrived. Impossible to find entrance. Charged $10/day for water. Our 41 footer cost $130/day. No finger piers. Paracel required. Well protected. Nice dock. Best for liveaboards.

friendly staff, great locale., 2014-02-13
Captain: , Bermuda (219)

Currently have our 50ft powercat squeezed into a side tie here. A very competitive dockage charge for the Keys. Well protected and close to the action. Staff are helpfull and friendly. Primarily liveaboards here but worth asking if there is a free slip if you are in the neighbourhood. A tricky entrance that should be recced by dinghy and attempted on a high tide if you draw 4ft.

Lorelei anchorage, 2013-06-11
Captain: , Newport, RI (230)

Stopped here for a couple of days. The winds were blowing pretty hard out of the North and I had 70' of anchor chain out in 8 feet of water. We held just fine. Lorelei was a suprisingly good restaurant where the food was tasty and beer was cheap. The sunset here is really nice. I can't say much for the area outside of the Lorelei because its on a main highway and kind of trashy but anything you need is within walking distance.

Perfect place for Islamarada, 2012-06-24
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

When you get to G87, head for entrance. Look for house on shore with greenish roof. It appears that there is no where for you to enter, but the entrance is there. The entrance is the cut closest to shore. Depth is as advertised. We love staying here. What a gem. A tad pricey sice they ahve no shwers, but the heads are good and the resturant is hopping. Breakfast is at 0700, so that is good. Very safe too. Walk to many things.

Nice locatioin, exellent anchorage in most winds, 2012-03-25
Captain: , Key Largo (5330)

Close to shopping, bars, lorrilie resturant, walk to world wide sportsman, just north.

Transient Boater Info, 2012-02-22
Captain: , Bristol, RI (386)

At this time, here is no dock space for transients. Anchoring is fine in 5 to 7 feet of water approx. 1/4 mile off shore. Not protected from North or Northwest winds. Lorelei Restaurant offers very casual outdoor dining 7 days per week, breakfast through dinner with live music. Dinghy dock on the West side, not in the basin. Very adequate grocery store with beer & wine about 1/4 west.

Nice pit stop, 2011-11-30
Captain: , Savannah, GA (116)

Very friendly marina, excellent port in a storm.
