Reviews for Irish Boat Shop - Stover Avenue Docks
quiet and protected, 2015-08-12
Captain: , South Portland, Maine (847)

again a lot of wind and seas on the lake but this place very protected from all that. Its a bit of a hike, but a easy bike ride to town and reprovisioning at OLESON'S SUPER MARKET. Dont miss a tour down Park Street to see the mushroom/fairy houses.

STILL GETTING USED TO TGE CHEAP PRICE OF WINE AFTER 6 WEEKS IN CANADA.

Nice facility, 2011-09-14
Captain: , LaSalle MI (585)

Spent 3 days fitting out newly purchased boat sept 2011. Very accomodating , nice store, good docks, showers etc.

Very good yard backs up their work, 2011-09-11
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (1101)

We stayed two weeks for shaft and strut repairs. Roger Smith is service manager and was knowledgable and very nice, and gave us a great break being Loopers. We had minor rudder post and shaft seal leakage after we left and they paid for another yard to make the necessary adjustments down the road about two weeks later.

Excellent yard, 2011-08-04
Captain: , Big Torch Key, FL (1956)

Full service yard provides outstanding service in all phases of boat repair and maintenance. They do it all and they do it right. They do charge for their services, but their yard rates are not higher than the others in the area and you will not be gouged. I have had them to electronics, electrical, woodwork, a/c repairs and holding tank refitting and am very happy with all of their work.

Very NIce Full Service Marina, 2009-10-05
Captain: , Pentwater, MI (415)

Irish is the most complete marina in the north. Plenty of transient slips, very nice facilities. Walking distance of downtown Charlevoix which is smaller than Traverse City, but vey nice. LOADS of tourists in the summer months, especially on weekends.
