Reviews for Irish Boat Shop - Harbor Springs
Wonderful Service!, 2017-08-09
Captain: , Fall City - Birch Bay, WA (217)

We are Looping and needed service where we would not have to wait long time. We picked Irish for the outboard service and new prop for our Honda BF150 on our C-Dory 25 Cruiser. We arranged the service by phone. We arrived on Thursday afternoon 8/3/17, and John came down to our boat to see what would be needed. We carry everything except oil and lower unit lube for service, but we needed a new prop due to hitting a rock in Georgian Bay. John went up, found the prop I needed from a supplier, came back down to confirm I was OK with this particular prop, and told me haulout would be in the morning and the prop would be there by 11 a.m. The next morning, 8/4/17, the mechanic AJ helped me get the boat over to the TraveLift. AJ did the service quickly and efficiently. This service was the 400 hour interval service with two internal filters in awkward spots, and AJ handled them expertly. All done by 11:30 a.m. the day after we arrived. Could not have found a better place!

Excellent services , 2016-08-16

While Looping we needed to replace the front three panels on our fly bridge enclosure and have electronics looked at. We called ahead to see if they could fit us in. Within an hour of being on the dock our electronics had been looked at and the canvas job was being estimated. We found the personnel very professional and willing to help us. Becky in the sail shop rearranged her schedule to get our work done. She was great to work with addressing all our needs and we are very satisfied with the results. Ali at the front desk was wonderful, friendly and accommodating. If you need work done this is the place to be.

Purchased a boat that was stored there. the staff during the purchase, commisioning, and repairs we excellent. They were always more than willing to help with anything.
One of the staff saw me inflating my dingy with a foot pump, and stopped what he was doing and brought me an air hose with the appropriate fitting to inflate my dingy.

Stopped in to get some oil... Good store., 2015-09-11

We always visit Harbor Springs when we're in the area. This time I needed som oil so I stopped in Irish Boat Shop. They proboably have everyting most captain's need to keep the boat humming.

Harbor Springs has to be one of the true gems of northern Lake Michigan. It has great shopping and a wonderful family vibe. Feels like the well-to-do Michigan families have been passing down these homes for generations. I'd stay in Petoskey and visit for a day-trip.

needed a tow, 2015-08-18
Captain: , Port Huron Michigan (180)

left a bow line on the deck in a storm.....damn. Saildrive quit; as you would expect, after line wrapped around it. Called Irish on the radio and they said they would give us a tow once we had sailed back to the opening of the harbor. Fast service and very helpful staff. Stayed the night in one of their slips. That was the only item I thought was over priced.

It's not just a boat yard, 2014-08-11
Captain: , Fort worth (202)

This is a full service marina and boat yard with beautiful facilities. We were trying to leave but our battery died and no one in town had one. Irish had access to one and had us on our way in 2 hours. 5 star

great people and a complete marine supply, 2014-02-22

Stopped in looking for some butane for our stove and some chain. This place has it all.
