Reviews for Inlet Marina - Destroyed by Hurricane Matthew
Good price for fuel ,easy access ,and some land based access., 2016-12-14
Captain: , Chicago, Racine, Fish Creek,Wi (3189)

19 Mar 2015 Filled up at $2.95 for diesel. Stayed night on fuel dock $25. Convient to walk to Publix for groceries a about .2 of a mile away. Beach is just about .3 miles to walk to. Fishing pier and several places to eat a short walk. Marine supply store accross the street. Friendly service and information. 12 12 2016 update unfortunately docks damaged by Hurricane Matthew. Stopped in and they said getting bids for repairs. I hope they are back in business soon as their Fuel prices were always good. Bar is open if you come by land.

5 Stars for FUEL PRICING still the best deal in Florida, 2016-06-12
Captain: , Key Largo (5457)

some of the best fuel prices around! Great dock master, great dog, walkable to Publixs, if he has space, you can dock there for $20 overnite.
Good food , fun bar. AC inside, and outside seating, all with tv's.

These guys are the best!, 2016-06-11

Aside from the excellent discounts on both diesel and gas, the team that run the dock are great. Knowledgeable and helpful, what more can you ask for.

Fuel Prices Wow, 2016-02-23
Captain: , Colorado (411)

Best fuel stop on my whole trip. Price with ActiveCaptain discount was about 50 cents/gallon cheaper than other places around the area. Called owner early as we were coming in the inlet and he was happy to come out early (normally opens at 8am). Very friendly and helpful. Not much of a marina per se (no slips or transient dockage - but it sounds like you can stay on the fuel dock overnight if you aren't staying too long), but a great place to stop for fuel and grab some provisions or visit local shops/restaurant.

They are located on the east side just south of the causeway and north of the Vilano city pier/dock (old highway). Plenty of depth near the causeway bridge. Very easy in and out.

I know where I'll be getting fuel whenever I'm in the area.

Easy in/easy out and the best price on diesel, as advertised. Made our day!

Most-Caring Marina Staff Anywhere, 2015-03-22
Captain: , Hampton, VA (20)

Stopped here in Nov. 2014 to take advantage of their well known bargain diesel. But, after topping off our tanks, starboard engine would not turnover due to what was determined to be due to bad starter. The exceptionally kind and caring Inlet Marina staff quickly informed us to "prepare to be pampered" and welcomed us to stay on the backside of their fuel dock for the two days while we waited for a new starter. Then, when we prepared to depart them they refused any payment for our dockage despite our insistence and simply suggested that we pay it forward sometime to another boater in need.

Captain: , Kuttawa Kentucky (410)

Got great price on diesel and since we were the last customer of the day, we got to stay the night for free.. Jeff made sure we had what we needed.. Only a 30Amp service, but was all we needed. Had to leave at first light so customers could get fuel. Restaurant on site. Groceries etc are a few blocks away. Thank You Inlet Marina

Great place for Fuel, 2014-06-22
Captain: , Ft. Collins, CO (331)

We stopped here 6/21/14 and bought 150 gal of Diesel for 3.95 tax included. I was able to talk him down a nickle from his first quote and when I assked for a second nickel he said if the boss was here he would do that but I can not. Great service and if you get there just at closing, buy fuel, you can stay on the dock overnight.

Good stop, nice place., 2014-05-09
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

Stopped for fuel, paid $3.92 for diesel for over 1000, dock hand Tony was very friendly, stayed overnight for $25.00, ate at Beaches, food was good, no power above 30 amp, good water depth, 15 feet up to dock.

Great place for fuel, 2014-05-03
Captain: , Yorktown, VA (972)

Great place to stop. We took on 728 gallons of diesel, great price while enjoying the company of Jay. We will stop next fall to fill up again and spend some time at the Tiki Bar.

Great place to stop for fuel, 2014-04-12
Captain: , Racine, WI (371)

Really friendly staff, easy in and out, some tidal current. Efficient handling of boats fueling very good fuel prices. Jay the owner really going out of his way to be helpful. We will stop again on our return trip.

Wonderful Place, 2014-02-17
Captain: , Ancramdale (220)

We were looking for good fuel prices and came across Inlet Marina and noticed that if there is room at the floating dock and you can arrive very late in the day you may be able to stay overnight for $25. We planned accordingly and arrived at 4:30PM, fueled up at a super $3.85 per gallon for deisel, had a wonderful dinner at Beaches right at the end of the dock and spent a peaceful night tied up to the dock.

There is 30A service whiich we couldn't use, but it was no problem Jay, the dockmaster, is terrific. He is helpful and fun. All the staff were great as well. Publix is a short walk away and they are also dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

Thank you, Jay!

Great owner and staff make it a very pleasant stop. Arriving late in the day, they let me stay on the fuel dock overnight and came in early to assist me in leaving.

Jay even provides the fuel discount to us sailboaters. Only bought 26 gallons and he couldn't have been more accomodating or helpful.

Good Prices, Great Service, 2013-03-03
Captain: , MV Red Head (3106)

Inlet Marina had good fuel prices so we decided to pull in early to fuel up before we moved on. Even at a very early hour Jay met us at the dock smiling and willing to help. There's a lovely restaurant that even serves breakfast - wish we'd known before preparing on board - with outdoor and indoor seating and a nice tiki bar. Jay wil help you with anything you need from a ride to Publix to finding repair help. Having good fuel prices would have been enough but he goess the extra mile to offer top notch customer service as well. You really should stop in and give him a try.

Jay is the best, 2013-03-02
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

Stopped there today for fuel the first time ever. Jay asked me if I need anything else and I told him that I run out of Smokes. He send another worker to the Supermarket to get me a packet of Malboro!! This is one of the best Services ever. We will stop here all the time to fill up! And the prices are great!

Excellent Fuel Price and Service, 2012-12-24
Captain: , Louisville (301)

Stopped here last week for fuel. Not only were their prices the lowest ,$3.85 per gallon, but we spent the night on Jay's dock for $25 ($5 more than the St. A mooring field). The food at the erstaurant was wonderful, and Jay and his team were as courteous as ever. Highly recommend this stop, especially if nearby late in the day and can stay on the dock.

Great Fuel Stop !!, 2012-12-11
Captain: , Patuxent River, MD (198)

Call Jay about 10NM out, mentioned Active Captain and got a $.20 per gallon discount on diesel. PLUS, Jay insisted on a free six pack of beer for stopping by.

A really happy place and good fuel prices too, 2012-12-06
Captain: , Hampton, VA (2573)

We stopped here to top off our aft diesel tanks. We came for the fuel price, and were delighted to meet Jay, see the restaurant/beach bar, and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Easy docking with plenty of water. Nice floating fuel dock. Definitely will return!

Good fuel stop, 2012-11-25
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (644)

Jay, one of the owners is very friendly and helpful. We would normally have filled up at Florida Petroleum in Fernandina Beach, but they were closed and we were running on fumes.

Jay gave the Ac discount of $.20, so we paid $3.95 per gallon on 11/24/12, not great but cheaper than all the nearby marinas.

It's a short walk to Publix and to the beach. Inlet Marina also has a nice little tiki bar and beach on the river as well as a resaurant.

Good Stop, Good Fuel, Good People..., 2012-11-06
Captain: , London (342)

Approach to the dock is directly on south side of bridge, to the east, between road bridge and concrete jetty. The entrance looks a little narrow however the approach is straight forward with plenty of water. I arrived at slack water with minimal current. The floating dock is a little low so set fenders accordingly but very helpful staff make docking easy. Cost of fuel $4.05 (October 2012) cheaper than others in the area. Nice touch from the owner Jay was a 6 pack of beer as a gift. Overall I would recommend Inlet Marine.

Good fuel stop, 2012-06-20
Captain: , Panama City, FL (200)

Fueled up here June 14th 2012. Easy in and out, the dock master was very friendly and helpful with catching our lines and helping shove off. I was concerned about aproaching the fuel dock with the current and close proximity to the concrete pier but tirns out the current has minimaal effect as you get close in to the fuel dock. There is a restaraunt and beach area but we didn't stay longer than required to take on fuel.

Good price on fuel, friendly owner, 2012-04-10
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (1541)

We stopped for fuel on 4/10/12; best price on fuel in the area. Ray, owner, was very friendly, catching our lines and helping with fuel and water. Offered to let us stay on the dock if we needed to run over to the local Publix - we declined having just stocked up while in St. Augustine but were impressed by the offer.

Friendly and convenient stop, 2012-01-24
Captain: , Cleveland (2083)

We stopped here for fuel and asked to spend the night. We were told they weren't set up with a lot of amenities, (no shore power nor showers) but could stay for $25 on the back side of the fuel dock. Jay and Bob were very helpful and friendly. The floating dock was fine and there is a Publix and a great little breakfast place a short walk away. In addition, there is a good seafood restaurant on the premises. A short walk gets you to to the ocean side beach.

Busy, but helpful, 2012-01-20
Captain: , New Bern, NC (466)

We stopped on our voyage north just after new years day. They were so busy that I thought, maybe I should wait 'til the next morning, but they got us in with a bit of boat dancing and out in a reasonable manner. Friendly folks, which is a real plus in my book. The fuel price seemed competitive. (I just buy what I can get to and only choose by price if there are two or more available nearby.) The fuel dock is very close to the bridge footings so if you are a "really" big boat I'd only try this if I was very comfortable manuvering in tight spaces. We are only 37 feet, so it was OK.

Inlet Marina, 2011-12-29
Captain: , Ocracoke, NC (33)

What a great fuel stop. The dockmaster Jay Myers could not have been more accomodating. He went out of his way to help and provided a very competitive price on Valvetec fuel. As the previous post mentioned, not really set up for transients, but the friendiness and fuel price will bring me back again.

For what it is., 2011-11-10
Captain: , North Carolina (21)

This is a great stop for provisioning and fuel. It is kind of tucked in between the pier and the bridge but there is plenty of water. A brand new Publix will be opening at the first of the year, two blocks away. Jay the dockmaster could not be more helpful. It is not really set up right now for overnight stays but that may change.
