Reviews for Indian River Marina
A beautiful marina right on the beach, 2015-01-26
Captain: , bear, de (364)

We spent a few days here. Great docks. Inlet is close and well marked. Fuel prices were quite reasonable. Nice Restaurant- tiki bar on site. It is a bit remote from towns, but car rental and taxis are available. Cna walk to an amazing ocean beach

What the FOG!, 2014-07-28
Captain: , Charleston, SC (140)

Coming from Atlantic City on the outside on a beautiful day until we got to the mouth of the Delaware Bay. We were caught in a fog bank just north of Indian River. Strong current entering the inlet. As we passed under the bridge the sky cleared. We got fuel and were handled professionally. We were given a slip and had lunch at Hammer Head Tiki bar waiting for the fog to lift. Good service and food. Hours later we were back on our way headed to Ocean City. Nice distraction from the fog!

Quite, reasonable Beach access, 2013-01-31
Captain: , Occoquan VA (60)

I stayed here for two weeks on the way north. Its quiet and I agree with the other reviews but its different than other marinas in the area as its not strictly commercial fishing charters only. The high new bridge entrance allows taller boats to enter. Be aware of the swift current into and out of the inlet. I needed to "power through at peake tidal action times. But I like quiet and a lot of places to exploration on a dinghy or kayak. Many shallow areas too so watch the locals.

Clean and very Quiet., 2012-08-11
Captain: , Palm Beach, FL (133)

We only stayed one night, there is not much here, in fact there is nothing here.

There is a small café onsite that sells sandwiches, snacks, and beers, but that is it.

The inlet is very deep and well marked, but you need to be careful of the currents, and waves. The waves can break inside the inlet and there is usually a bunch of small boats drift fishing. Once you get under the bridge, it is fine.

We needed to fuel up early and their fuel dock opens at 0600. We were at the dock at 0545 and they opened the fuel dock at 0550 for us.

Indian River Marina, 2012-01-28
Captain: , Indian River Delaware (10)

New, clean with showers, etc. Yard crew is excellent.

VERY nice marina, 2010-08-02
Captain: , Dallas, TX (726)

Left the boat here for 2 months and flew in and out of BWI to visit the in-laws. Local marine services excellent. Large dock box on every slip. Easy to Cape May and Atlantic City NJ. 24 hour security guard with video surveillance. Most residents are large fishing yachts. Staff and other boat owners very friendly and helpful. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the 1/2 mile walk to the trash dumpster and very remote location.

State run Marina, 2009-10-10
Captain: , Indian River, DE (299)

New docks. Fuel available at several docking locations. Courteous service. Bait & Tackle on site. Clean restrooms. Fish cleaning available for a fee at Hookem & Cookem. BoatUS discounts accepted.

Good State Facility, 2009-01-11
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (495)

This facility is run by the State of Delaware and is on par with other State run Facilities. Piers are new and floating. Bathrooms are fair but clean. Great location if you like to fish, but you need a car if you want to go to Rahobeth or Dewey Beach. They have a bait store and fuel on the premisis. This is an official weigh station and they do offer fish cleaning and packaging. We kept our boat here for 2 years. Watch the inlet on the way in, as it can be treacherous, and the small boats that fish the inlet do not tend to give way.
